Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
My sweet grandgirl turned 6 months old on October 9th and I truly think she is growing too fast. It just seems like yesterday that our sweet Adalynn was born.
Of course I am reminded when I look at my oldest grandgirl who will be 13 in April that time waits on NO ONE!
Here she is old enough now to be in our youth praise and worship band at church. REALLY? What happened to that little baby?
But our babies do grow up and quickly. This sweet girl has brought so much joy to our family. We call her our JOY baby.
If you look at her she will smile....
Sleeps 11-12 hours a night. Cries if she gets hungry and that's about the only time she cries.
And she is at that stage that she grabs everything...earrings, ears, nose and whatever else she can grab. But do you know what my favorite thing is that she does? She'll put those little hands up to your face and looks at you as if to say, "I love you soooo much".
YEP.....I truly am trying to savor the moments of this Circle of Life.
How many of you loved the Lion King movie? Oh I love that movie. Think I will listen to the song....The Circle of Life

Your girl is a real little sweetie♥
ReplyDeleteCindy, I know you are proud of your granddaughter being a part of the youth and worship team at your church. I love seeing these young kids get involved and especially with things that are GOOD and MEANINGFUL. That baby has not lost any of her hair. WOW! Such a pretty little baby and her smile is adorable.

Thanks Connie. Check your email...
DeleteWhat a precious little face! Babies are brand new little blessings that are gifts that keep on giving. Just like our children. When my hubby and I led a Young Adult group, all of our kids were in the worship band. Those were some of the best years of my life. Today, my little grandson is learning to play guitar and already is joining the worship team at church from time to time. You have beautiful grandchildren, Cindy! Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Awe thanks so much Sandi. Yes you are right. They are indeed blessings that keep on giving. Oh I know that you must be proud of your grandson learning to play the guitar. It is amazing how quickly these kids can learn. I have one learning to play guitar and one plays piano and sings. I am just so proud to have some musical talent in my family. LOL!

DeleteCindy your little one is so adorable, I almost want to reach across the screen and pinch her little cheeks. She reminds me so much of my youngest who looked a lot like little Adalynnn. It is such a rich rewarding life we live when we take the time to savor the moments and enjoy the cirle of life.

ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos of such a fun and happy baby. So sweet and I don't like it that they grow up so quickly. But then you look at that 13 year old singing praise and worship and really get some joy going there!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteThank you. I am quite sure that grandson has you eating out of the palm of his cute little hands.
DeleteWhat gorgeous grands! The newest blessing has such a wonderful head of hair. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness gracious, what an adorable little girl your Adalynn is! And I totally agree with you about how fleeting time is. My own grandbabies aren't so much babies any more. *sigh*! I was watching Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass this weekend and since "Time" is a main character, there were lots of time puns and sayings. Though it's not meant to be a deep, thought provoking movie, it did get me thinking about what a gift each second, minute and hour are!! Especially when there's family around!! Hugs to you!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise . Yes time does go by quickly . The older I get the faster it seems to fly .
DeleteAdalynn looks like a precious baby doll - just beautiful
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. She is a doll.
