{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

{Making Memories}

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Our family sure did. Just a few pretty desserts on our Thanksgiving table. We had so many desserts and as always lots of good food. With a family of over 50 in attendance you better have lots to eat huh?   My husband says every year that Thanksgiving is his most special time of the year. His reasoning; No one seems to be in a hurry. Everyone actually takes the time to visit. No one expects something from you. And....the food is GOOD!  My whole heart stands in this picture.   We also celebrated this granddaughter's 10th birthday. She is now DOUBLE DIGITS!  She is such a sweet girl and has a heart for Jesus. Makes this Nana proud.   We also celebrated with these two grands for harvesting two nice bucks. My granddaughter Mallory and grandson Conner showed up the adults with their deer hunting skills. In one of the pictures is their great-grandfather AKA 2-Pa and of course ...

{Just a Thrifting, Partying and Feasting}

There's a little girl In the neighborhood Her name is Cindy Conner And her thriftings looking good.... Now I will be singing the John Anderson song, "Just a swinging" the rest of the day. LOL!  It's been a while since I have been thrifting and decided to do a little. So glad I did. I found the cutest little snack plates with matching cups. A service for 8 matter of fact and for $16. YES, you read correctly. 16 bucks for a service for 8 and not a chip one on any piece. MY KIND OF THRIFING! I know thrifting isn't a real word. But it's my word now cause I made it up! LOL! Then I found these cute snack plates too. I have these exact ones. Matter of fact I have several different patterns of snack plates. They didn't have the cups to match but I also have tons of little clear cups that I can use.  They had 8 of these plates for a total of $2.99. Not $2.99 each...but all 8 for $2.99! Girls, I cannot pass up a deal like t...

{Tea Cup and Mug Exchange} So much fun!

I joined the talented and gifted Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose blog for her tea cup and mug exchange. This was my 3rd time of participating and it was so much fun. Stephanie will be posting on her Blog about the exchange on Wednesday so be sure to hop over there this week and visit.  http://theenchantingrose.blogspot.com/   Linda from https://ladylindateacup.blogspot.com/  was given my name to send a teacup too.   She went above and beyond and needless to say, I could not wait to open my package when it arrived. It felt like Christmas opening up all those sweet packages. I am in love with my new tea cup! Isn't she a beauty? And of course I named her, "LADY LINDA" . Just look at all the sweet things that Lady Linda sent to me! Look at that precious Dress Dish Towel she made for me! So, so cute! It was so nice to make a new blogging friend and I truly do enjoy our exchanges. I was given Margie's name to ...
