{February Happenings}

  Well our February Florida weather is cool in the mornings, warm during the day and cool at night. Which to be honest, suits me! But, we can't have perfect weather that suits us all can we? This weather has had me in the baking mode though. I saved a few apples from our mountain trip and baked an apple bundt cake to freeze for a Sunday dinner sweet.  Decided to whip up a batch of Kitty's shortbread spritz cookies. They weren't as pretty as hers but oh they would melt in your mouth. Be sure to pop over to see her recipe.  https://www.kittyskozykitchen.com/2025/01/impossibly-easy-ham-and-swiss-pie-and.html#more I had some left over deer venison and decided to make a Venison and Penne Casserole. {Alfresco Dining For Two, Birthday Party and Sweet Moments}

I hope that you all enjoyed your Memorial Day. It sure was a hot day in my neck of the woods but it didn't stop me from having a little red, white and blue fun. I am so thankful for those who have and is currently serving in the Military. I have family members that have served our country and one that is still serving. My grandfather served in the Navy, my brother served in the Navy, my uncle served in the Airforce, one of my soninlove's served in the Marines and I have a nephew that still is serving in the Navy. I praise the Lord for every one of these men.  A lot going on these days for me it seems. We have been very busy with grandbabies birthday's and just celebrated our youngest granddaughter Annaleigh for her 1st birthday.  She has a mouth full of teeth, taking 4-5 steps, smiles all the time and has somewhat of a sweet-sassy personality going on. I LOVE IT! For Memorial Day my family had their own plans for the holiday so I decided that me and my man...

{Bohemian Baby Shower}

Don't you just love the bohemian look? Seems everywhere I turn the new decor for parties is the bohemian style. Our niece Becca is expecting her first baby is July so our family threw her a little baby shower. Bohemian style.  My SIL Becky found a lady to make all the flowers, leaves and etc. and she simply placed it on bead board for a backdrop. I thought it turned out adorable.   This cute little mama to be enjoyed her shower very much. She's having a girl in case you can't tell by the decor. It is her motherinlove's, my SIL Becky's first grandchild. Needless to say there is excitement in the air! Oh I remember the birth of my first grandchild as though it was yesterday. Now she is 15 years old. We had a dessert only shower and oh my! Too much good stuff to choose from. See that adorable cake in the center? My SIS Shirley makes the BEST hummingbird cake you will ever eat! It is probably her most requested dessert.   Butter...
