Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
Got a little Fall going on with my little corner chair in the kitchen. Loving my little Harvest blessings truck. There's just something about those old trucks that I do love.
Love my farm house lantern. My glass pumpkin with fall leaves was perfect to add.
The drawer that usually sits on the chair will get a break for now. LOL!
I was gifted this cute "Gather Together" sign and just love it.
I added a little fall to the corner hutch.
Break time.........
I have a set of these beautiful pumpkin canisters that I enjoy using in the Fall. I use the set of 4 for different things such as snacks, flavored teas, candy and etc. I had bought this set many years ago and gave them to my motherinlove. When she went to her heavenly home I was given them back. I love using them.
While bow hunting look what Marty found in the woods near a tree stand? He loves things like this. Can you just imagine how much time it may have taken to carve this arrow? It could possibly be 500-600 years old.
And I found a pair of the cutest rain boots at Tractor Supply. Not that I have needed them since our place is dry as a powder house. Oh mercy we do need some rain but aren't they just too cute?
I don't know how you do things with your makeup brushes but this has been most helpful to me over the years. I buy makeup wipes and before I begin my makeup routine I place one on the bathroom counter. Whatever type of makeup wipes they have for cheap is what I get as not only do I use them to clean excess makeup off of my brushes but they serve as travel wipes for me. My daily make up remover that I use is Aveeno. Every time I use a makeup brush I then wipe the brush off onto the makeup remover wipe. This keeps makeup off of my hands and my counter. And...keeps my brushes from getting so bad through the week. Once a week my makeup brushes are tossed in a mason jar with Dawn dish detergent and vinegar and then scrubbed lightly onto a kitchen scrubber. After the brushes are dry I put them back into my cute little container that sits on my bathroom counter.
That's just my little tip for the week.
I sure hope you all had a great week and I will leave you with some words from some very wise women...
There is NO lie so sly than the one we tell ourselves.....
Being right is overrated. You get a snug feeling in the moment but it fades quickly.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Those boots are darling!!
ReplyDeleteYour fall decor looks lovely as always. I could almost smell the scent of your candle through my screen.
An arrow head, now look at that!!
We have an area near us where many arrow heads have been found, unfortunately not by me. :(
Thank you for that make up tip with the cleansing wipes, good idea. :-)
Have a beautiful week~
Thanks Debbie. OOH that candle does smell so good. I have about used it up already!
DeleteIm living your Fall decor, Cindy! How awesome is that arrowhead??!! Our friends in Arkansas have found many on their property. It amazes me! Thank you for your make up tips! Have a wonderful week! 😘🤗
ReplyDeleteThanks Kitty. Marty will be scouting for more arrow heads now! LOL!
DeleteLove the touches of Fall Cindy and especially love those blue and white dishes! I use a paper towel to dab my makeup brushes on but a makeup remover wipe would be the trick. I use baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes. But I must admit I do not clean them like I should!
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
Baby shampoo makes them smell good too huh? My skin is so sensitive that I have to clean them or buy new ones. I must admit that sometimes I slack on it and it's about two weeks before I think about it.
DeleteYou are "that" friend who knows fun things and shares them! I love that!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so going to try your tip about make-up brushes. Dawn dish soap and vinegar, so easy! Better then my way, for sure!
Oh, and can you have enough boots? NO!
Thanks Christine. I keep a bottle Dawn and use it for several things for sure.
DeleteI love your Fall decorating!! The old pick-up is cute! And that old arrowhead is an amazing find!!
ReplyDeleteThank you . Love old trucks and gi did you know Marty will have scouting for arrow heads instead of hunting 😂
DeleteIt is always a delight to visit here, smiles. I use Clinique for dry combo skin for my face. I also use Dawn to clean my brushes, smiles.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy--you should take the arrowhead to the Florida Natural Museum up in Gainesville and they might be able to date it-or they can tell you where to have it dated--my bet is the Univ. of Fl...I know, your a Gawga Bulldog--lolol, smiles.
Linda that’s a great idea if I’m ever that way . It’s not that far from me i just don’t ever get to Gainesville . Yep, maybe I’ll put my Georgia dawg shirt on and take a trip 😂
DeleteThat's a great way to keep your make up brushes clean! I love that fall decor! What a cool arrowhead! Those boots are adorable. What a fun post!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather Lou .❤️
DeleteThank you Cindy for sharing, wonderful post again. You never fail to mesmerize me all the time. Reading your post is like a ray of sunshine as the weather here in Singapore is kinda dark and rainy. Have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteGirl we need some of your rain . Everything is so dry . No matter how much we water things it surely doesn’t take the place of God’s water .
DeleteLove, love, love the cute purple paisley boots!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a fan of your lovely fall decor. The blue and white transferwares look great with the orange pumpkins.
Thanks Margie . Yep I’m a huge fan of my blue and white dishes .
DeleteYou create such lovely arrangements in your chair. So cute! And, those boots, so very cute! Happy new week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lea. ❤️
DeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThe boots are adorable. Love all the fall decor too. Wow about that arrow tip. What a treasured find. Have a great new week.
xoxo
Kris
Thanks Kris . Marty is happy with his old arrow . 😊
DeleteCindy, your corner chair has added a beautiful touch of autumn. The corner cabinet with blue and white is just stunning sweet friend! Happy October!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pam . I’ve not made it past my kitchen with fall this season but at least I’ve got a little fall going on 😂
DeleteYour blog always brings a bring spot to my day! I love how you have everything decorated. It is just so pretty. I am so happy and grateful to see another fall season! It is my favorite, for sure. Many blessings and hugs to you, sweet friend. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Cheryl.
DeleteHello sweet friend! Oh I do love your gorgeous touches of fall. Not much fall decorating for me this year although I am keeping out a few things to add a little fall color to the RV once we get settled in. Can you believe in just 3 days we will be TN residents?? Crazy how fast it all has happened...only God. I love your boots! When I was looking for mine, I saw some like yours but as you know, the red chicken one won my heart! Happy Fall, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe how quickly this has went for you girl! It has been amazing at God's timing! They had these cute boots on sale so of course I had to grab them! LOL!
DeleteLove your corner chair decked out for fall, you are ready girl! Now all you need is some cool temps! Love your new boots and the make up brush tips!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Thank you Jenna.
DeleteI love your home all decked out! Loving that chair decor. But I really want to take a break with you! That looks good. WOW...on the arrow head. When we moved to my moms house 53 yrs ago there was no grass, not lots of rocks. So dad would make us take a bucket and pick up rocks. We found several of them, knowing what they were but not connecting (age thing) the real meaning and the history of them. My brother has them now. I love that they are still around and in his hands. Have an awesome day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. I need that kind of break again today! LOL!
DeleteGreat post, Cindy! Those rain boots are really cute -- like you, I hope there'll be a need for them sometime SOON!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip about how you clean your make-up brushes. I copied and pasted your words about that onto a document on my desktop so I can refer to it and follow your example.
Hey, I love your fall decor, Cindy...and was so thrilled to see your blue and white dishes on display...we share some very similar tastes...see my post today to see about that! Love the arrowhead! Wow, what a find!!! Amazing. The fall cannisters are so cute. Glad you can enjoy them even just for this season. How much fun!! I guess you lost me on the makeup brushes, etc., but it sounds like a great idea. The closest thing I use to a makeup brush is a Q-Tip. LOL. That's my tip for the day. Ha Ha. This past week I haven't even bothered with make up or hairdos...will be so glad when this bug goes totally away. I am better today...even made it to Walmart...which was a TRIP...but we needed to go. God is good. We survived. Have a blessed day and enjoy your fall adventures. Love your posts so much.
ReplyDeleteI love my blue and white dishes. Girl, I keep a pack of Q-tips in my makeup bag. They become your best friend! LOL!
DeleteOh, p.s. I love the boots too...really snazzy!!!! I hope it rains so you can wear them!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes mam I have wore them! LOL!
DeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteYour fall décor looks great! I had to put mine away. I have so darn much Halloween décor. Can you believe I have never used a makeup brush? I don't wear a lot. :)
hugs,
Jann
Thanks Jann.
DeleteEverything always looks beautiful here. I enjoyed the tips. That arrowhead is amazing. It had to be a thrill to find.
ReplyDeleteHe was thrilled to find that arrowhead Vee. Guess we will be looking for arrow heads instead of deer now! LOL!
DeleteWhat a coincidence that the old arrowhead was found by someone bow-hunting all these years later!
ReplyDeleteI have not thought of it that way! Yes, what a coincidence.
DeleteLove your rain boots, they're so pretty don't wait for rain to wear them! Great tip with the makeup remover wipes, think I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteLove the cute Fall display on your sweet little chair!! And I love the Fall orange color with the blue and white dishes in that corner cupboard!! Just darling!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
