Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
Aren't they just so pretty....too pretty to eat but give me a little salt and pepper and I am good to go. Love boiled eggs. My grands had a great time coloring eggs. I love that they still want to have fun despite the many changes that surrounds us all.
I had another baking spell and decided to bake chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. My mercy...I have to take hold of THIS before it takes HOLD of me! LOL!
My little granddaughter who will be 4 this Thursday wanted to fish with her little "Frozen" rod and reel so her daddy obliged her.
Well needless to say everyone is wanting a "Frozen" rod and reel now!
I was looking at some pictures I had saved and came across this one that my youngest daughter had taken while traveling many years ago. I remember that when I had seen that picture I feel in love with it and then felt led to add scripture to it and now, years later, I find myself being more so blessed and comforted.
I pray that you all are staying safe as can be and that you are trusting the Lord to see us through this very challenging time in history.
My WORD for 2020 has sure been speaking to me....
When the Lord gave me this word I felt in my spirit that He was saying...embrace what is happening right now, at this time in your life no matter what that may be and above all keep your eyes on me.
My scripture was "Jeremiah 33:3". Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you did not know.
Can I just say that the Lord is surely using my word and scripture in my life and in ways that I cannot even begin to explain.
I hope that you all have a wonderfully blessed Easter. And remember....

Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Oh those bright and brilliant colors do the soul good, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteThey sure did do mine good Linda.
DeleteLooks as if everything is going along tickety boo in your corner. I think God supplies all good things, too. So glad that you have candy stashed. I found some that I had stashed...not really, it was a KIND bar, but close enough!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I've gotta check that stash too! LOL!
DeleteWhen you bake another batch of cookies, just say to yourself, I'm embracing this!"
ReplyDeleteWhat a special treat to go fishing with a Frozen rod & reel and catch a huge fish!
Enjoy this week!
LOL! YEPPERS! That's a good one Christine!
DeleteWhat a huge fish on that little rod. Good for her. I need a cookie please and a boiled egg.
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
Yep, that little rod was doing all she could too! Need a cookie right now! LOL!
DeleteYour cookies look so tempting that you inspired me to bake some too.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the fish your grandgirlie caught.
Thank you for the sweet words. You have a blessed Easter with your family ( if you can get together. Not sure what the limits are out your way).
LOL! I am being a form of temptation! LOL! I think I might get me a "Frozen" rod and reel. Happy Easter to you.
DeleteBeautiful. Your granddaughter is just so adorable, smiles. Thank you for your lovely post, my friend. Wishing you a very lovely week.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, we all want to order a Frozen Rod and Reel now! What-a-catch!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour addiction to cookies is contagious. I can feel it over here in Ocala!
Trusting the Lord with you as we embrace this unique time in our lives.
Those cookies are about gone now. Thank the Lord! LOL!
DeleteThose cookies look so good! I hope to do eggs with the grands that are staying with us. I miss my younger ones. Is your grand daughter fishing at a lake on your property?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter!
She was fishing in our pond in our backyard. The kids and adults enjoy it so much.
DeleteOh, I bet those cookies were good! The Lord is telling me the same thing: focus on Him! More reading in the Word, more praising too! Happy Easter to you and your beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you too.
DeleteThose cookies look yummy, bet they didn’t last long! Yes, I can imagine everyone was wanting that fishing pole. Our son has been with us during a lot of this pandemic and tries fishing in our pond about every other day. He’s only caught small crappie. Those catfish (that we feed) have been elusive! Lol! Thank you for sharing your 2020 word again, it’s one we need to all be thinking about. I love the photo your granddaughter took and the scripture. It shows God’s word is always relevant! Wishing you all health and safety, dear Cindy!! Z
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Happy Easter to you all.
DeleteYour post was such a blessing to me this morning! Glad your baking was fun and great you have so many to share with.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture your daughter took and that you added the scripture. I love that scripture and am comforted by it. I am pinning.
Have a beautiful day dear Cindy!
I too was comforted by that picture and verse. Amazing at the Lord's timing with me coming across it as I was looking at pictures.
DeleteHappy Easter, Cindy! May the Lord continually keep you and your family safe and healthy, in Jesus' name.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your family as well dear Cheryl.
DeleteWOW...WOW...on that fish. Great job. Not me, I never caught anything that big!! haha...eggs look great. Been many, many years since I have done anything like that. I did however buy a bunch of stuff for my daughter to put in the boys basket over a month ago.She has so many boys to do for that I try to help. Hoping you are staying safe.
ReplyDeleteHer poor little rod was about to break but she was excited. So sweet of you to help fill the boys Easter baskets. Happy Easter.
DeleteWowsie that catch was fabulous. The cookies and eggs look so great for Easter. I miss my grand girls so much. Let's pray in a month or so we will see that we can begin to see our family and friends. Happy Easter. xoxo
ReplyDeletePraying this all will be on the mends soon and very soon. Of course things hasn't really been the same since 911 have they? Praise the Lord we serve a risen King that never changes. Happy Easter.
DeleteYour cookies look soooo good! I'm not much of a baker, but I can do peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Cindy.
I sure enjoyed them with a cup of coffee and another time with a glass of milk. Love me some fresh baked cookies.
DeleteDid she really catch that big fish on that little fishing pole? Wow!!! I guess everyone will want one of those now! That is amazing!!! Love that you are dyeing Easter eggs. I haven't done that in a while since we don't have any little ones around, but I may just have to this time so we can enjoy them. Love that picture of the buffalo by the water. That is amazing. And the verse is so appropriate right now. Yes, "embrace" is a good word for this season in time. We have to "embrace" the fact that God is working in our lives in a marvelous way, even in such a difficult time. He is still in control and He is working all things together for our good, whether we realize it or not. We are His children, and He is caring for us. Praise God. Happy and Blessed Easter! Yes, He IS risen as He said!
ReplyDeleteLOL! She sure did Pam. That little rod was a singing! Yes, He has risen!
DeleteI recently heard that calories don't count during a pandemic! So enjoy your cookies Cindy :) I hope you have a blessed Easter 💕
ReplyDeleteJenna
I love your thoughts Jenna!
DeleteWhat a little cutie!! The eggs are very pretty! Great job to all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather Lou.
DeleteWe have 3 of the character rods for our GRans and they love fishing with them and have caught a ton of fish on them. Yes, I'm trying to embrace this time but sure am tiring of it and we have 3 more weeks. Ugh! Have a most blessed Easter as we celebrate our Risen Lord.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you too. I am afraid those weeks may turn into a longer time. GRR!
DeleteOh...the memories that are being made are priceless and will be treasured forever. Can your family be any more fun? How truly blessed you are. Have a blessed remainder of Holy Week and Easter celebration! Hugs and much love!
ReplyDeleteWe do have fun and I am truly blessed. Happy Easter.
DeleteCindy, I must stop the eating, also! Happy birthday to your little sweetie! Wishing you a blessed Easter!
ReplyDeleteThose cookies done me in! Ha!
DeleteIs t that sweet that your little granddaughter wanted to fish, and just look what she caught!!!!!! Your cookies look amazing. I can’t wait to bake again. I’ve been too busy sewing that I’m about “masked” out. I made 40 yesterday for nurses that wear them over their N95 masks.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Cindy as you EMBRACE Easter!
That is a lot of mask in one day Kitty. I am sure the nurses are so very thankful. Girl, I think I need to make a few for friends as we have a large group in our community making them for so many health establishments. So exciting to see people pulling together in this time of need. Happy Easter to you.
DeleteHi sweet Cindy! Oh, what a lovely post. Your little granddaughter is adorable and I wish her a happy birthday. Your cookies look wonderful and I love your cookies. I find myself baking a little more than usual myself. Stay safe, my friend, and I wish you and yours a blessed happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Thank you Sheila. You have a wonderful Easter too.
DeleteHe Is Risen indeed!! Hallelujah. Always enjoy visiting and seeing you and your family enjoying and loving each other. I miss having Easter eggs and family at my house this time of year. {{sigh}} Hope you have a very blessed and special Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you Miss Mary. Happy Easter.
DeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteI am rejoicing in the day that the Lord has made!
Easter is extra special this year and I give praise to Him.
Happy Easter to you and this darling family that you have been blessed with!
