{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...

{All Good Things Come From The Lord} and that includes Easter eggs, fishing and cookies!

Aren't they just so pretty....too pretty to eat but give me a little salt and pepper and I am good to go. Love boiled eggs. My grands had a great time coloring eggs.  I love that they still want to have fun despite the many changes that surrounds us all.

I had another baking spell and decided to bake chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. My mercy...I have to take hold of THIS before it takes HOLD of me! LOL!

 My little granddaughter who will be 4 this Thursday wanted to fish with her little "Frozen" rod and reel so her daddy obliged her.

 Well needless to say everyone is wanting a "Frozen" rod and reel now!

I was looking at some pictures I had saved and came across this one that my youngest daughter had taken while traveling many years ago. I remember that when I had seen that picture I feel in love with it and then felt led to add scripture to it and now, years later, I find myself being more so blessed and comforted.

I pray that you all are staying safe as can be and that you are trusting the Lord to see us through this very challenging time in history.

My WORD for 2020 has sure been speaking to me....

When the Lord gave me this word I felt in my spirit that He was saying...embrace what is happening right now, at this time in your life no matter what that may be and above all keep your eyes on me.

My scripture was "Jeremiah 33:3". Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you did not know

Can I just say that the Lord is surely using my word and scripture in my life and in ways that I cannot even begin to explain.

I hope that you all have a wonderfully blessed Easter. And remember....

  10. Those cookies look yummy, bet they didn’t last long! Yes, I can imagine everyone was wanting that fishing pole. Our son has been with us during a lot of this pandemic and tries fishing in our pond about every other day. He’s only caught small crappie. Those catfish (that we feed) have been elusive! Lol! Thank you for sharing your 2020 word again, it’s one we need to all be thinking about. I love the photo your granddaughter took and the scripture. It shows God’s word is always relevant! Wishing you all health and safety, dear Cindy!! Z

  16. Did she really catch that big fish on that little fishing pole? Wow!!! I guess everyone will want one of those now! That is amazing!!! Love that you are dyeing Easter eggs. I haven't done that in a while since we don't have any little ones around, but I may just have to this time so we can enjoy them. Love that picture of the buffalo by the water. That is amazing. And the verse is so appropriate right now. Yes, "embrace" is a good word for this season in time. We have to "embrace" the fact that God is working in our lives in a marvelous way, even in such a difficult time. He is still in control and He is working all things together for our good, whether we realize it or not. We are His children, and He is caring for us. Praise God. Happy and Blessed Easter! Yes, He IS risen as He said!

  22. Is t that sweet that your little granddaughter wanted to fish, and just look what she caught!!!!!! Your cookies look amazing. I can’t wait to bake again. I’ve been too busy sewing that I’m about “masked” out. I made 40 yesterday for nurses that wear them over their N95 masks.
    God bless you Cindy as you EMBRACE Easter!

    1. That is a lot of mask in one day Kitty. I am sure the nurses are so very thankful. Girl, I think I need to make a few for friends as we have a large group in our community making them for so many health establishments. So exciting to see people pulling together in this time of need. Happy Easter to you.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th...
