{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...

{Elsa, Anna and Family}

I hope that you had a wonderful Resurrection Day on Easter. I know that Easter Sunday was so different from probably what most of us has done in the past but the fact remains, JESUS ROSE FROM THE GRAVE and JESUS LIVES in my HEART today.

The Conner family has always celebrated with a large Easter egg hunt with the extended family in which that is a very large group of people. Mercy, I have lost count we have so many. However, we could not do that this year and we all missed being together. But, I am so grateful for my little family and that we did spend Easter together. YES, my little tribe is always around one another so we figured if we have cooties then as a blogging friend of mine said, we have the "family cooties" together. We are trying to be mindful and careful and just so you know...my hands will never look the same I have washed them so much!  We had church online with our church, dinner and then our own little Easter egg hunt. My heart was full.

Our sweet granddaughter Adalynn, whom we call Ada, celebrated her 4th birthday and oh my that girl loves her some Elsa! She is EVERYTHING Elsa, so a few weeks ago I snapped a few pictures of her for her birthday and needless to say...She was a beautiful Elsa. Of course baby sister, Annaleigh had to be Anna in a few pictures. Wanted to share them with you today.

PICTURE OVERLOAD....WARNING! LOL!

I sure do love that little Elsa and Anna...(Adalynn and Annaleigh). Nothing, absolutely nothing like our precious grands.

I hope that you all have a great week and that we all continue to keep our focus on Christ and to remember....He's got the whole world in His hands....What a great song remembered from childhood. It sure has been a wonderful reminder these days.

 Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  4. What beautiful pictures of your precious little girls. How did you do that? Amazing photography!! So glad you were able to be together. We also were with our adult kids, as we are together so much anyway. We did also get to Facetalk to our only grandson Noah, who is 20, and lives in Maine. That was extra special for us. We don't get to communicate very often anymore as he is, well, he's 20. What more can I say? Have a blessed week my friend. Stay safe in these storms.

  14. Oh my, those girls are precious! You captured some fabulous pictures and memories, Cindy!! I’m glad you were able to celebrate a bit of Easter with your family. We had a quiet day. After online church, I did a bit of outside work then we ran up to my mother-in-law’s to visit with our daughter and her family. We sat apart but enjoyed being together. Little Jack came over yesterday to play so our lives go on. Hope your stay safe and healthy! Z

  21. Oh, my goodness! They are little living DOLLS! Just beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing. It was such a bright spot to my day. May the Lord bless all of you and keep you safe and healthy, continually. It did my heart good to see that you are all staying together and being able to see one another. I think so much of this is completely overblown (can I just voice what we are all feeling????) and it is a crying shame that families are staying away from one another, unable to hug their sweet elderly parents, etc. My goodness. I have often been grateful that my dear Mom and Daddy are resting in Jesus' arms because I couldn't bear to be away from them through all of this and know they were alone. I can't believe all that is happening, and so many have gotten their eyes off Jesus and His ability to take care of all of us. SO thankful you all are able to be with one another and continue life with your sweet, dear family. Sending hugs your way, sweet friend!

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th...
