{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Sprinkles For Breakfast? YES}

Well who doesn't like sprinkles with pancakes and sausage? My grandgirls sure did! My five grandgirls spent the night with us recently and there wasn't a dull moment for sure.

From cheer skills, watching Frozen 2, to playing with papa's face...we done it all.

All the aprons was brought out and cake baking began.

Of course you can't bake a cake or make icing without licking the beaters.
And, I tried to get my one and only favorite grandson to come too but I don't think he wanted to be around all the chit-chatting and squealing. LOL!

Marty and I dug up the last of our potatoes. We have enjoyed them so much.

My daughter snapped this picture of my grandgirl Kyleigh doing zoom with her friends for the first time. Just priceless! She misses all of her friends at church and school. There are lots of folks that social distancing (I am actually sick of this phrase) isn't bothering but our Kyleigh is a lot like her nana....

I am hoping that you along with your families are coping through these times of uncertainty concerning COVID. Seems that is the major topic of conversation these days. So many afraid of what is yet to come or what may happen when things begin to somewhat resemble what we were all accustomed too. To be honest, I am not sure about anything but one thing and that is that the Word of God promises me that He will never leave me nor forsake me and I am trusting Him for that.

Praying you all have a great week and remember.......

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  3. Oh how wonderful that you could enjoy your beautiful grandgirls all together in one place! What a blessing! Your grandson now deserves a special weekend by himself with his grandpa and Nana. Some fishing and/or hunting or something "manly". I wish I could be one of your little grand-girls! I never really got to know my grandmothers all that well. One lived in Ohio and we were in Florida, and when we did go visit she was sick and not able to "play" with us. I wish I could have spent more time with her, but she died when I was 15. My other grandmother lived about 10 miles from us, and we were together for all holidays, but she was not a real "hands-on" grandmother. And I was too much to handle anyway. But when I grew up we did find we had more in common..we both loved tea and birds and she seemed to confide in me in little ways...so I feel like that made up for lost time. She died when I was probably about 34. My baby doll "Elva" is named after her, because she was adopted and we don't know anything else about where she came from. I'm still trying to find out. Whew, be quiet, Pam! Enough of this. I enjoyed your post and it surely brought up my dreams about my grandmothers. I am doing more ancestry research now on both of them, so they are on my mind. Okay, enough already. I loved your post. Just wish I had more time with my grandmothers. And I don't have any granddaughters...just one grandson who is 20 and 1500 miles away. Okay, bye for now before I start boo hoo ing. Love you and I love your posts.

    1. Oh Pam. Girl, I was so blessed to have my granny in my life. So many wonderful memories. Going down memory lane can be hard at times sweet friend and especially wishing we had those moments in life that we didn't. I was reminded just last week while doing zoom Bible study with our ladies that there can still be those redemptive aspects of our lineage that highlights the faithfulness of God in our lives. Even if we have lineage that there was those not faithful or those we were not around much. This really made me think and go back to the first time I ever heard the name of Jesus that I can remember. I was a very young little girl and my first encounter with the fact that there was a man named Jesus was because my granny (dad's mom) who I wasn't around very much growing up, carried me to church with her. I will forever be thankful! Hugs to you lady.

Yes, these are trying times but I know if we put our faith in God, things will work out as He needs it to. Stay safe and healthy, my friend! Zenda

  12. Wow, I bet that was a crazy fun sleepover! It is so hard on the children, not seeing their friends, going to school and socializing. One of my grandson's teachers provided a format for the kids to post videos of what they've been doing, and he gets his brother involved and they film crazy antics on his iPhone {he's 12} and then he submits them for his friends to see and he can watch theirs...Lots of fun! People are amazing the way they are coming up with new ways to "socialize!" I'm glad you are able to be with family,
    Jenna

    God is teaching me patience and perseverance. I agree, I am tired of the phrase, social distancing, but I realize it's importance.
    Your grands are a comfort to you I am sure. Stay safe🙏❤️✝️

  16. It is such a dear blessing to be able to visit with you today, sweet friend. I always feel an uplift in my spirit when I come here to your place. What joy you must have had with all those sweet grandgirls around! I can see they have their Papa wrapped around their little finger. I imagine they can get by with anything around you two! LOL! They are so adorable! Thank you for saying what I feel - I am SO sick of hearing the "social distancing" phrase! My goodness. Just the thoughts of it makes me sad. Anything that keeps God's people apart and families apart is sad to me. I just wonder what it will all look like when (if?) things ever get back to some semblance of "normal." I think God is really trying to get people's attention, but I don't know how many are really getting it. So thankful we can all stay connected this way. God bless and keep you and all your loved ones safe and health continually! Sending hugs to you!

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th
