I hope that you all have had a wonderful weekend. The weekends just seem to go by too quickly don't they? I wanted to share a few of my favorite things today that sits on my corner hutch in my kitchen.
Most of all my blue and white dishes belonged to my grandmother and motherinlove so they hold special memories for me to say the least. I have a few that I have picked up here or there or that was gifted to me.
Since I enjoy displaying my favorite blue and white dishes, most often I add seasonal or holiday decor to them and I also enjoy the little pops of color added to the blue and white.
Since the bottom of my corner shelf has a cabinet I was able to store a few of my dishes there. But, I have more lovely blue and white dishes stored in my She-Shed. I guess I need to have a blue and white party one day.
Though I have lots of dishes I do have some favorite's, how about you? Do you have favorite dishes?
Recently it was "National Daughter's Day". So I jumped on the band wagon to acknowledge our three daughter's. To be honest, it doesn't take a National Daughter's Day for me to acknowledge my girls. We are so very proud of the women they are today. They are wonderful wives and mothers and they love our Lord and raise their children to love Him too so what more could we desire? Of course I heard the next National Day was Son's Day. And I guess there will be an Aunt day and an Uncle Day. Mercy...to be totally honest, I am beginning to wonder if EVERYDAY isn't celebrated for something...And If I am going to Celebrate daily then I want it to be....Web image
Each day is surely a gift to be used.
I hope that you have a very wonderful week and remember.....

What a beautiful collection of dishes. You do need a blue and white party! Your daughters are wonderful tributes to their mom (and dad of course)!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather Lou.
DeleteSo nice that you have your special dishes from your moms. I have dishes and china but I tend to use the plain white Corelle that were my moms. You have beautiful daughters! I like your last picture post.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan.
DeleteThey are all gorgeous...just like you! And it really is something to celebrate. I have 4 sons that I love dearly....but I know a daughter would have been special too. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I have one grandson and five granddaughters. We aren't low on girls in the family. LOL!
DeleteYour dishes are even more special because they belonged to your grandmother and your mother in love. Your cabinet looks so pretty with your Fall touches. Your family is so beautiful, Cindy, and you are blessed!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kitty.
DeleteI'm admiring your lovely collection of blue and white transferwares!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in elementary school, I learned that blue and orange were complementary colours.
Thank you Margie. I love the blue and white dishes. Brings back lots of memories of my granny for sure. My Papa always wanted to eat out of "REAL" dishes as he called them with a "REAL" fork and of course a "GLASS" drinking cup. Granny always used those blue and white plates.
DeleteCindy, your blue and white collection is beautiful and holds precious memories of those you love. Your daughters are beautiful just like their mama. Wishing you a lovely week sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you are right...seems like there is something or another to celebrate each and every day. Of course, waking up every morning is the best reason to celebrate:)
ReplyDeleteI just love your corner shelves. One of my friends would really love your blue & white dishes...she's a collector. I like to change up our dinner plates so have several different ones. Would you believe some of my favorites came from the Dollar Tree!!! They are just this pretty lime green and I bought coral placemats (also at $Tree) to use with them. The color combination looks great...and at just a buck apiece!!! I also have a set of solid red dishes by PIONEER WOMAN...love, love red!!! I still have all the dinnerware I got for wedding gifts 50 years ago!!!! I'm sure they are discontinued by now. It's fun to change up and not use the same dishes over and over. I know you are proud of that great looking family!
Oh I love the Dollar Tree and have found some cute dishes there too along with goblets. I have a set of the Pioneer Woman dishes too that my girls gave me one year. I probably have more dishes than one person should really own! Oh my!
DeleteI just love how you mix seasonal touches with your pretty blue-and-white dishes. You have a gift for arranging things to their best advantage.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see you with your precious daughters.
Thank you GM. I am loving my Fall in my kitchen and dining room. Sad to say that is about as far as I have gotten with Fall decor. For some reason I just tend to get slower and slower about doing things these days. LOL!
DeleteGood morning, Cindy, I just pinned your beautiful quote. So good to remember.
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful blue and white canisters. I am a blue and white fan for sure.
I always love your family pics. You are indeed blessed by your family and they are definitely blessed by you. Have a fabulous week.
I would appreciate your prayers for us as we travel this week. Thank you, Cindy.
Thanks Bonnie. Those canisters always was my eye catcher. My motherinlove had some pretty things that I surely loved. When she passed one of my sweet SIL gave me those pretty canisters. Made me smile so big. Will pray for your travels dear Bonnie. Go and have fun lady.
DeleteWhat a lovely post, my friend. Hey, now I am singing, "A few of my favorite things..." Have a beautiful day, friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. Sing girl...sing.
DeleteI love your blue and white dishes, I have a lot of them too. Yours look so good in your corner hutch, a very sweet display!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrs. Mary. I love them too.
DeleteYour daughters are gorgeous like their mom. I love all your blue and white dishes and that they are heirlooms to be treasured. So sweet. Happy Tuesday. Have a great week. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteThey surely are heirlooms and mean so much to me. Happy Day to you too.
DeleteYour dishes and your corner cupboard are so pretty! You have everything arranged so pretty and homey looking. God bless you, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl, You are so sweet,
DeleteI love blue and white dishes, as you know, I have some of the same. I also have that same butter dish. It was my grandmother's. It is rather old and stained from years of butter grease seeping into the little fine cracks that come with age, so it probably isn't that great to use, but I love having it because of whose it was. Yes, you should have a blue and white party! I love the pops of fall color with the dishes too. And you are greatly blessed to have such three lovely daughters! What a gift from the Lord. I have three wonderful sons..two here on earth and one waiting in heaven. They are all unique and special in their own way, and were/are a delight to us as well. I know that our Matthew is now a delight to God in heaven. He must have had a special purpose for calling him home so soon. Some day we will understand it all. Enjoy this gorgeous fall day we are having! So happy for a crisp morning and sunshine. Makes me want to be outside all day.
ReplyDeleteTake care dear friend.
I've seen pictures of your lovely blue and white dishes and I think it would be safe to say that we both love them. What a day it will be when you reunite with your Matthew Pam. I know you enjoy your wonderful sons. Loving the weather this morning. Came real close to putting my boots on. LOL!
DeleteI love your corner hutch Cindy, it looks so festive decorated for fall! What a fun piece and a great place to decorate seasonally! I celebrated National Daughter's Day with my daughter and granddaughter, what a blessing daughters are!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Thank Jenna. I have enjoyed my little corner hutch for sure. Highlights some of my favorite pieces.
DeleteI have always loved these blue dishes and wish that I had had the color scheme in our house to use them. But, just wouldn't work so I have others that I do love. I am quite a collector of dishes. Always love stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lea. I have so many dishes too. TOO MANY!
DeleteDISHES? Do I have dishes!! Too many, and they are all my favorite!! I dread the day that I have to downsize and get rid of some dishes. Your blue dishware looks great with orange pumpkins....so festive for fall! Have a Happy Day!
ReplyDeleteOh I need to get rid of lots of dishes but I love using them and switching them out. I have given several sets to one of my daughter's.
DeleteThanks for coming by to visit Patti.
I think your dishes look great, and of course are so special.
ReplyDeleteLove your family photographs.
Enjoy this last day of September and have a happy October.
All the best Jan
Thanks so much Jan. Happy October to you,
DeleteYour dishes are so pretty, Cindy! And those daughters of yours, gorgeous. Hugs and blessings from me to you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Laurie. Hope you are doing well lady.
ReplyDeleteOh My! I missed Daughter Day... but like you, everyday I recognize her as special!
ReplyDeleteAnd like you, I love blue and white dishes.
Now, let’s go and 🍁Celebrate Life🍁
Every day is a great day isn't it? Hugs to you lady.
DeleteYears and years ago I had a white corner hutch that looked a lot like yours..... I've missed it but to be honest, I haven't a good place for it in this house. You have a wonderful sense of style in your home decor and in your photography!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Thank you Barbara.
DeleteFantastic collection. You are so blessed having your Grandmother and Mother-in-law's dishes. Wonderful memories. Your family is so beautiful. Hugs
ReplyDeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteLOVE those dishes...I have green ones like them!! And that corner cupboard is just darling!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
Cindy, I am so glad you had a great week at at the beach with your girls. I love your beach tablescape. Makes me want to go to the beach. We went in early May and that is too early. It is amazing it is almost the Fourth of July. Time is passing too quickly.
