I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month. Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now! Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said! I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style. The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters. Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo
Well can you believe it is already NOVEMBER! To be perfectly honest with my blogging friends there is a part of me that feels that the months, the weeks and even the days has been soooo slow due to the pandemic. Another part of me feels that the months, the weeks and the days have flown by. In the last 7 months I have experienced fear and sadness and yet, I have experienced pure joy and delight. This thing we call LIFE! Not an easy road at times but it's sure one worth living to me. With November beginning I am praying for so very many as well as our country and I am planning to continue to do life as I know it and enjoy it to the fullest. Speaking of enjoying life....I have surely been enjoying my sunflowers.
These beauties can surely light up your world.
I am hoping to pick a bouquet one day this week. I have a bounty of beautiful sunflowers and they remind me so much of my late motherinlove. (Her favorite flower) She was the reason I started planting them to begin with but they truly remind me of EVERYTHING FALL. And, my mercy, I can't look at a Sunflower without thinking about the SON.
I spent the weekend with Marty and my fatherinlove doing a little whitetail deer hunting. No harvest but sure was a lot of fun. I did keep an eye out though for a big old buck to cross those tracks! LOL! Amazing at how much you really can talk and listen to God when you are alone, with no interruptions, no phone ringing or dinging, no cooking to do, no one wanting you do anything, no nothing...but you and the Lord. I absolutely love it!
So, since we are officially in the month of November, tell me, what has been some of your favorite things about October?
For me, it's easy to think of my October favorites because all I had to do was look at my October Blog Posts! I share my life. As boring and dull as it may seem to some my life is nothing short of blessing after blessing and one of those blessings was finishing up the Bible study with a group of 40 women in October. This particular study came at just a time that I, as well as many other precious women surely needed it. Amazing at how God will have you teach first hand about things that you too might struggle with. I am excited to say that we will begin a new study by Jennie Allen this coming Wednesday night called CHASE.
Her studies are short yet meaty and loaded with God's Word. If you are looking for a study I recommend her.
Another one of my favorite things about October was a very near and dear friend, my best friend since 4th grade, stopped by my office to bring me a pumpkin spice drink and pumpkin donut. She done this act of kindness on a day that she was off of work and yet took her TIME to think about me! AND IT WAS ALL THINGS PUMPKIN! YESSSSSSSS!
Another highlight of October was hunting with my girls and grands.
Of course I enjoy all sorts of outing with my bunch as most know but we really had a great time. Of course I was the only one to harvest a deer that weekend too! LOL!

I love your memory post...great idea to go back over the month and review all the joys and blessings! And yes, I am glad we have our blogs to help us remember what we were doing when! I don't write a journal in real handwriting anymore, so my blog has become my journal of sorts. I just need to print off some of the better ones for future generations. I love your sunflowers, and yes, they do remind us of the SON, and all His glory and perfection. I love that you spend time out in the woods with your family members. DeleteMorning.....you snagged a deer. Wow....I love it. I just am not the type of woman that can shoot an animal. But I have a 30 some odd yr old niece that goes hunting, field dresses and does it all. Been doing it since she was a teen. I love that women can jump into a mans world and do that...but like I said, NOT ME! haha....Love those colors. Funny how you can have those colors in the summer but they just seem to pop and look amazing in the fall. Our leaves are falling fast. We had some color, some pretty color but not near as pretty as I have seen. Heading out to pull in the pumpkins and clean up what little Halloween stuff I had outside. Now, I have pumpkin soup planned for one pumpkin and I guess I will take the rest to the pigs. Later.

DeleteOur October was filled with many blessings here, too. Of course, every day is a gift, and no matter what is going on around us, we are blessed. God is SO good. October is one of my favorite months because it was the month in which my dear Daddy was born. October 13th will forever be a special day for me. I miss baking him cakes and making his birthdays special, but nothing I could ever do for him could compare with what Jesus is providing for him now. Let us keep praying hard about tomorrow. It is very hard for me not to have anxiety right now, but I am trying hard to believe that God will answer our many, many prayers. Sending love and hugs to you today, sweet friend!

1) sipping my autumn teas (e.g., pumpkin blends)
2) Halloween Zoom teas with friends
3) getting a proper ergonomic chair for my home office (I don't know how my back lasted for so long!).

Both studying His word and spending time in the quiet time with Him are time well spent! Love those sunflowers!! We've had a killing frost last week so all of our flowers are gone now. The leaves are beautiful though. Andy was up last Saturday and harvested a great buck bow hunting! He's having it mounted and they harvested over 80 pounds of meat! He was so happy and J was thrilled to be with him! Wishing you a wonderful November! Zenda

Like you, these past months...the whole year of 2020 so far...have been crazy. Sometimes I think this year will never get over; other times I wonder where the time has gone. Another favorite was that my wonderful son saw another birthday...#48. Am I really THAT old??? I always think that November is a month that gets lost in the shuffle with all the commercialization of Halloween and Christmas. But I try to remember each day to be thankful for all the Lord has blessed me with. I will be glad to see all the election talk and ads be over with, and I pray that God's will be done as to who wins. DeleteI love the colors of all the seasons - the browns and oranges and reds of autumn, the reds and golds and greens of winter and Christmas, the pastels of the lavender of lilacs and the spring colors and the blues and yellows of summer.
