Well it is so good to be able to whip up a little post for this week after being absent for two weeks now! I have missed you ladies. I took a little break but have been busy. I appreciate those of you that checked on me to make sure I was okay. That meant so very much.
Over the two weeks that I have been absent we have celebrated my grandgirl's 13th birthday. Mallory Grace is what I call a well rounded young lady. She loves travel ball, deer hunting, dressing up or dressing down. She enjoys preparing and giving a devotional to her travel ball teammates which blesses me so much. She has such a sweet heart for our Lord.
I have spent quite a bit of time whitetail deer hunting with my family as well. My grandson went with us on one our hunts and needless to say he came home with a harvest. We sure enjoy spending time in the beautiful outdoors doing what we love.
Pictured is our "Favorite" grandson Conner, our only grandson, his Papa and his 2-pa as the grands and great-grands call him. This picture is priceless to me.
I have gotten most of my Christmas decor up before Thanksgiving. YEP...I love Christmas and the decor and I couldn't wait. We don't host Thanksgiving at our home so why wait right?
My SIL Lisa had me a set of coasters made last year for Christmas. Each one has a different family picture on them of my little tribe. All 14 of us. I am using them this Christmas and love them.
The grandbabies will enjoy my little white tree this year too. It is a perfect addition to my kitchen and dining area. NANA is enjoying it as well! LOL!
I hope to be sharing more Christmas with you all and looking forward to visiting around with my friends. I do hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our family surely did. Our group was smaller this year. Some had other families to be with and some were sick and some had to quarantine due to being exposed to possible Covid. So many prayers being lifted up right now. We have lost several in our community within the last few weeks. Ranging from 40's to 80's and our hearts are broke for the families. I would also like to ask you all to please lift up my blogging friend Barbara from https://sweetteaandsandals.blogspot.com/
Her beloved is walking the streets of Glory. But....ONLY GOD!
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
I love all your beautiful decorations and the dishes which of course drew my eye!!
ReplyDeleteI can understand why the picture of 3 generations of men in the family is a treasure.
I hope Mallory had a wonderful birthday.
Have fun getting your house all ready for Christmas!!
Thank you GM. Hope your Thanksgiving was great. Mallory had a wonderful birthday.
DeleteHi Cindy! Welcome back, and yes we missed you!!!! Glad you were enjoying life. the simple things are the BEST things.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas table is gorgeous, and so is your family!
Loved that last pic, too - truly says it all.
May your Advent Season be blessed with good health, peace and joy. Hugs.
Thank you Michele. Hope to visit this week with some of you ladies.
DeleteHi Cindy, I was wondering where you were. Love all your pictures. Your table setting is so pretty! So sad that so many have died from Covid. I am praying that things will get better in the new year. So nice to see you back!
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. Yes, our hearts have truly been sad for several families but we are giving God praise for all the many blessings we surely have.
DeleteI’m so very sorry, dear Cindy, for the loss of those in your community. Such sadness, during this time.
ReplyDeleteI did love seeing your beautiful and festive table and your darling tree. I always love seeing your family pictures. Yes, thanks be to God, for all our blessings. May you have a wonderful week.
Thank you Kitty. Praying for so many right now. But, lifting up the name of Jesus. Trying to keep my focus where it needs to be. I am enjoying my table too. Hugs to you.
DeleteI really like your white Christmas tree. Your dishes and the entire place settings are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the mention of my blog. People have been so kind to me through this.
Oh dear Barbara, so many prayers for you and your family. I wish I could give you a good old fashion southern hug but since I can't...please know I am praying.
DeleteI've missed your posts and checked to see if I had just missed a new one. I'm glad to see your back and with such beautiful photos. I love your Christmas table and decor. It's all looking very festive! That pic of your three handsome guys is priceless.
ReplyDelete
DeleteThanks Heather Lou. Nothing like getting a picture of your only grandson with great-grandfather and grandfather!
Welcome back! I knew you had to be okay because I see you on Facebook, but I have missed your posts here as well. It's nice to know that people miss us when we are gone, isn't it? We are all important in this "place" and we need each other all the more as we "see the day approaching"... Yes, we were so shocked and saddened by Barbara's "Beloved's" sudden passing. I wake up thinking about Barbara every day...so glad her family is surrounding her right now...but soon they will go home...and then she will have some major challenges ahead of her and will really need our prayers. God is able. Your house looks so cute! I love all the decorating you do. You are an inspiration. I love that picture of your three "men"...what a treasure to be able to go hunting with both your grandpa and your great-grandpa! I hope he realizes what a blessing that is! I'm sure he does. And your Mallory Grace is a real beauty. She is beautiful inside and out, and God will use her for His glory I am certain. We are all fine here...just trying to get ready for Christmas. I wait until after Thanksgiving to start, so I'm a bit behind you...but will catch up fast. LOL. Have a great week dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that we are FB friends Pam. Thank you for the kind words. I love everything about Christmas. Have a good week.
DeleteCindy I have missed you. Glad you were off having fun with your family. Love your Christmas table it is gorgeous. I start my decor early too since I do not host Thanksgiving my daughter does that. Just love to get those pretty lights up early to enjoy. Have a great start to the week and Advent. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteThanks Kris. I am ready to start wrapping gifts now! Love Christmas.
DeleteHi Cindy! Oh, your Christmas is just beautiful, you are a very talented lady. That picture of the 3 guys is a treasure, I can see how it's one of your favorites. Mallory has grown into a very pretty young lady and I know she has a pretty heart too. Sending a ((hug)) across the miles!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Miss Mary. I surely love Christmas. Wish I could really give you a hug but know that you have been in my prayers. So glad you are home and healing.
DeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteWell, you certainly have been busy Cindy! I am crazy about your table set with the black and white check runner, it looks fantastic with your Christmas china! I'm so glad you've been busy making memories with your beautiful family! And here comes December and more memories to come!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Thanks Jenna. I am already enjoying my Christmas decor. Brings me much happiness.
DeleteCindy, I am so sorry about your friend's husband passing and losing others to Covid. It is taking its toll everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYour family celebrations are always enjoyable. Happy Birthday to Mallary Grace. The picture of the three generations is priceless.
Your Christmas decorations are looking great. I am going to catch up really I am.
Wishing you a great week.
Thanks Bonnie. Girl, I am so much slower than I used to be with decorating and still haven't taken the Fall off my front porch. I am going to do that soon....I HOPE! LOL!
DeleteYour Christmas table looks beautiful! I especially like how the red pops out against the black. The tabletop white tree is super cute!
ReplyDeleteThe losses this year have been staggering. Thinking of you and your community.
Thanks Margie. I love red and black together. Of course some think it's because I am a Georgia Bulldog fan but I actually love those colors. Hope you have a wonderful week.
DeleteIt's good to see you back. WE all need those breaks from time to time-to just catch our breath and be away from the computer. I see that you love Christmas like I do and making it special for the kids is the most important part for me.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you were able to spend some family time over Thanksgiving. We didn't do that this year. Next year!!! xo Diana
Thank you Diana. I have stayed busy for sure but I see a "stay in your PJ all day" coming on soon. LOL!
DeleteI loved seeing your pretty Christmas decorations! It all looks so homey and cozy and inviting! So thankful you were able to be with at least some of your family at Thanksgiving. It surely is a different world we now live in, isn't it? SO, so odd and unfamiliar, but the hand we hold is familiar to all of us, and HE is leading us onward to a place where we all will rest and worship at His feet forever. We just have to stay focused on that in these turbulent times. Sending much love to you today, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is different Cheryl. These days surely makes one long for the Lord to split the sky and come on back to get His children. Staying focused on the ONE that controls it all.
DeleteWelcome back, girl! Yes, you were missed, but what a super time to unplug and fully immerse ourselves in the season that we're entering. I want to focus on joy and light and freedom in Jesus.
ReplyDeleteSo good to visit here. I always leave encouraged.
My WORD for this year Linda was EMBRACE. Boy, little did I know all the embracing I would be doing. But, with that word came the thoughts of, no matter what we embrace to focus on the Lord. Yes, it surely does a soul good to unplug occasionally.
DeleteThank you Laurie. Lifting you up to our Lord as well dear lady.
ReplyDeleteThe grands are attractive peeps...cousins? siblings? How nice to get a head start on Christmas. I know your home looks beautiful all decked out for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThey are cousins and they sure love one another, Thanks Vee. I love Christmas decor.
DeleteHi Cindy, So good to see all the pretty pictures of your family and decorations. Looks like your whole family is into hunting. Guess you won't go hungry. Blessings to you, I have missed you too. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThank you Susie. NO, girl, we have Venison to eat for sure and we all love it in my family. So glad you stopped by.
DeleteHi Cindy, welcome back and you were missed. But it appears that you stayed busy and enjoyed yourself. I do love the photo of your grandson, hubby, and hubby’s dad. That one is for framing. I love all of your Christmas decor, the tablescape is so pretty and festive. I am so sorry about the loss of friends. We have had two close friends pass away from Covid in the past week. Blessings sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pam. You are so sweet and to check on me made my day! So much sadness but in the midst of it all I am counting my many blessings. I am enjoying my Christmas already. The decor always puts me in the mood for my favorite holiday.
DeleteLovely to read your post and see your beautiful array of photographs.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations look beautiful.
Happy December Wishes.
All the best Jan
Thank you Jan so much. I am enjoying my Christmas decor,
DeleteI have fallen behind, so sorry. I just l ove your post, smiles. I hope you have a beautiful rest of the week, my friend.
ReplyDeleteAwe girl, I know you have been very busy. It's hard to catch up too after being absent for two weeks. But...enjoyed a little break for sure. I sure give it to those that can post daily. Lordy...I do good to get a post out once a week. Happy Week to you.
DeleteAren't grandkids just the absolute best? Yours are mighty cute! Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and vacay. I am so much enjoying the gifts I won:) The tray is in my Hot Cocoa Bar center that I constructed this year. The towel hangs on my oven and the other kitchen items are waiting to be used. The book is almost finished...holidays got in the way. Again, thank you so much! Can't wait to see all your Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are enjoying your gift. That makes me smile. I am loving my Christmas decor too. But, I do need to take the little fall decor off of my porch! LOL!
DeleteLove, love the dishes, make for such a pretty table. I'm doing very little Cmas decorating this year. Got the tree up today and really nothing else. AFter 50 years of decorating I guess I've lost interest. :o)) Shame on me! Take care and stay well!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lea. I don't do nearly what I used to do. No time it seems and a lot less energy! LOL! I love your tree! I put up a skinny tree this year in my living room and love it. Takes up less space for sure.
DeleteSweet decorations, Cindy. And a very sweet granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteAmalia
xo
Thank you Amalia. My grands are something else.
DeleteClassy, yet cozy! I love all your colorful touches...just about everywhere! And you gave me some ideas, too! It feels like I'm perusing some Home & Garden kind of magazine. I'm praying for your friend, Barbara. May the good Lord comfort her at this time.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I am enjoying it.
DeleteI haven't been in blogland for awhile so now I'm catching up! I loved seeing your Christmas decorations and reading about your family. We have a Connor in our family, too - our second grandson who is almost twenty years old now. And he's a dad to our second beautiful great-granddaughter born this year. My sweetheart's deer hunt was successful but his elk hunt with his brother, brother-in-law, nephews and a couple of friends who always join their group didn't bring a harvest this year.
