{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Enjoying Life, One Day At A Time}

I hope this finds all my blogging friends doing well and staying healthy. I just want to thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers for Marty and I. We are doing well. Still fighting allergies but that seems to be quite the norm for many of us. We are truly blessed. My smell is slowly coming back day by day. Praising the Lord that I can taste. CRAZY at what we take for granite. I go back in May for a another follow up and have been working on building up immune system. I have gotten quite good y'all at making all natural fruit smoothies, drinks and slushies.

I've tried several different recipes but mainly I have been making up my own recipes to play around with the different flavors. If the drink isn't sweet enough I add a 1/2 - 1 pack of Splenda and they work for me. I don't like banana's though so NO banana goes in my mouth. LOL! But I do love all sorts of other fruits though so it has actually been fun making my own little boost drinks. That's what I call them cause they are loaded with extra vitamins. I am fixing to try my hand and taste to maybe a few veggie drinks....Not too sure about them though. LOL!

Isn't this just a lovely little mini tea set? My youngest daughter was teaching on the letter T so she decided to have my youngest two granddaughter's a tea party. Of course Nana came to the rescue with this cute little mini tea set. I gifted it to the girls as they will enjoy it for many years to come.

Nothing like a tea party!

And....this is how she dressed to help her mama clean house........The cleaning fairy at your service.

I've had this sweet grandgirl since Friday afternoon. She is such a joy and has the sweetest little heart ever.

Papa brought home a bag of white sand so she got started on the fairy garden immediately.

And to her surprise, the fairies made strawberry tea while she was sleeping. (Her papa come up with this idea) LOL!

The joy of being a Nana never gets old.

And we carried sweet girl out to eat. Made lots of fun memories this weekend.

A sweet friend across the miles posted this and I thought it was surely worth posting today. The title said "Friday Good News", but this is GOOD news Monday through Sunday, don't you think?

I hope that you all have a wonderful week and that the Lord blesses you all in a way that will be beyond your beyond.

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  2. This was so perfect in every day! I love tea parties, and with your little sweet granddaughters that was just wonderful!! You are truly blessed to have so many sweet girls to play with and teach good things to them...and they are especially blessed to have you and your hubby as grandparents! So glad you are feeling so much better! Praise God!! Your smoothies look good. For some reason I just can't do the smoothie thing...I think it is a texture issue for me...hard for me to "swallow" for some reason, but yours look so good I might be tempted. And it certainly seems a healthy way to get your fruits in you. Thank you for sharing your wonderful times with your family with us. I loved this so much. That little tea set is beautiful!!!

    1. I have never been much of a smoothie gal either Pam. I like the slushies best. But have gotten used to them it seems and depends on what flavor. I am enjoying creating new flavors. The girls love to have tea parties.

  3. So, so thankful to hear that you and Marty are so much better, dear friend. God is so faithful and true to His Word. It seems like allergies are just awful this year - worse than normal. But, this too shall all pass, and there will be brighter days ahead. We have to cling to that hope in Christ. Sending hugs to you today.

  4. I'm so glad to hear you and Marty are feeling better. It must be weird not to smell or taste anything. What an adorable tea set (and grandgirls). I bet your other granddaughter loved being spoiled by you with one on one time. So special! Good job on your boost drinks! My daughter hates bananas but can handle them in smoothies for some reason.

  7. Oh sweet Cindy, we both are souls sisters in the banana hating department!!! I would gag if I had to have a smoothie with banana. 😱
    The tea set is so cute and perfect for those little darlings. I know that your other granddaughter had a ball with you. I like the idea of sand for the fairy garden. I have dirt, but sand would be better. Happy Easter week, dear friend. Prayers continue. 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻

The girls are always playing and moving things around in the fairy garden till we thought white sand might be a bit easier to wash off. LOL!

  13. Cindy, once again I am impressed with all you do. Your activities with your grands are fun for us readers too.
    You look so nice in your dress and heels. The tea parties, fairy gardens, eating out dates, and smoothie making all sound fun. I like bananas in things but don't ask me to take a bite unless it is mixed with other fruit. Bananas seem to give us quirks.
    Have a blessed Easter. I am thankful to God y'all came through Covid.

  14. Oh my goodness ! What a wonderful tea party with your cuties, my friend.
    I love it that you are so fortunate to live near the grands and their parents. The yummy food you prepare, I'm sure those little beauties love it too !
    I remember my little girls too and now they're 16 1/2 and 14. The younger ones live in Spain, so I can hardly have tea time, although last year I really enjoyed the five year old.
    You look so great my friend. Love your style.
    Happy and blessed Easter.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th
