{Counting My Many Blessings In Life}

  I hope that you all are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We sure have done some celebrating today for Father's Day and for my SIL (Jered's) birthday. We had dinner, swimming, a lots of talking after church at my oldest daughter's home today and it was a wonderful day. Our menu was: Fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, rolls, apple pie, pecan pie and vanilla ice cream along with some good ole southern sweet tea! Now that's a Father's day meal don't ya think? I am still being blessed with more squash and tomatoes . I surely see a squash casserole in the makings about next Sunday. The tomatoes...I eat one every day and will as long I my harvest is coming in. Nothing like fresh veggies. Our oldest granddaughter Raygen left yesterday morning around 1 am for her first mission trip . She was in the bed by 7 pm last night. Please keep their group in your prayers. Safety, lives changed for our Lord and for a great work of God to be done inside and out

{Another Fun Filled Weekend}

I hope you all are doing well. I am trying to wind down for the night and thought I would try and get a post out. Girls, by this time I am in my fat clothes and recliner smashing that remote control!

 Marty and I kicked off our weekend by having a little fun food as I call it, "charcuterie" style out by the pond. Of course I always fix more than we need or eat but it sure was good.

Two of our granddaughters had dance recitals over the weekend so we got to watch them perform and oh my! They were just the cutest things ever.

We were blessed to be able to see them perform.

Then we celebrated a birthday for this sweet grandgirl!

She was excited about being double digits.

And besides all the fun from the weekend I was able to see some of my pretties in bloom.

Now to enjoy a cup of coffee....

I hope that you all have a wonderful, blessed week.

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  5. There seems to always be something to celebrate in your family, and how happy is that?!!! Let the good times roll!

    Ah yes. The dance recitals. I remember them well with Surfer Girl. She then built on those experiences to work at Disney for 16 years as a choreographer, stage manager, and even got to be some pretty interesting characters, including the Little Mermaid.

    1. Barbara, it never ends with my tribe! LOL! Another birthday party this Friday night! Wouldn't miss these times for anything. Being of mother that raised three girls I know all too well about those special moments in life too. Sometimes Barbara I think I passed myself on the road back and forth to dance team practice, cheerleading, ballgames and etc. Where had the time went?

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{A Few of my Favorite Things}

  I hope that you all have had a wonderful weekend.  The weekends just seem to go by too quickly don't they? I wanted to share a few of my favorite things today that sits on my corner hutch in my kitchen. Most of all my blue and white dishes belonged to my grandmother and motherinlove so they hold special memories for me to say the least. I have a few that I have picked up here or there or that was gifted to me. Since I enjoy displaying my favorite blue and white dishes, most often I add seasonal or holiday decor to them and I also enjoy the little pops of color added to the blue and white.  Since the bottom of my corner shelf has a cabinet I was able to store a few of my dishes there. But, I have more lovely blue and white dishes stored in my She-Shed. I guess I need to have a blue and white party one day.     Though I have lots of dishes I do have some favorite's, how about you? Do you have favorite dishes?   Recently it was "National Daughter's Day" . So I ju

{Picture Overload} WARNING-GRANDS ON BOARD

Well Nana has been back at it again snapping pictures of two of grandgirls. These girls are sisters and they each have their own unique personality in which I wouldn't have it any other way. They each bring their own style and charisma to the table and it surely makes life more interesting and fun. This girl loves her some ball playin g. She plays travel ball and enjoys it so much. She is our "Sports" girl for sure.  She's little but oh is she fast! Just give this cute girl a dance costume or for that matter, any kind of prissy clothes, makeup and jewelry and she is good to go. She loves to dance. This girl right here loves her some Star Bucks and enjoys being with her friends and family. This sweet thing here loves glitter, bling, dress up and dippin dots ice cream!  Most often the first place she explores is my latest jewelry buys! She is truly a girl after my own heart because she LOVES her some lipstick! Marty and I took a little time for "Just us" and
