It's a tad late to wish a Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily. I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...
I hope you all are doing well. I am trying to wind down for the night and thought I would try and get a post out. Girls, by this time I am in my fat clothes and recliner smashing that remote control!
Marty and I kicked off our weekend by having a little fun food as I call it, "charcuterie" style out by the pond. Of course I always fix more than we need or eat but it sure was good.
Two of our granddaughters had dance recitals over the weekend so we got to watch them perform and oh my! They were just the cutest things ever.
We were blessed to be able to see them perform.
She was excited about being double digits.
And besides all the fun from the weekend I was able to see some of my pretties in bloom.
Now to enjoy a cup of coffee....
I hope that you all have a wonderful, blessed week.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Dance recitals, important birthdays, impromptu picnics by the pond....there's always lots of fun things happening around your place.
ReplyDeleteYES THEY ARE! We enjoyed it all.
DeleteHi Cindy, that shrimp plate looks so yummy! Your grand daughters are so cute! I know what you mean about finding the comfy clothes :) Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. Comfy is what I like these days.
DeleteOh, I love to come visit with you here! Always so much fun and beauty and family! Your sweet grandgirls are adorable in their dance outfits! And happy 10th birthday to the one! What a blessing!!! Your flowers are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your life with us here. Delightful!!! Have a blessed and beautiful week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam.
DeleteIt sounds like it was a very fun weekend. Happy Birthday to your sweet granddaughter. I bet the recital was fabulous. Those cupcakes look yummy!
ReplyDeleteWas a great weekend but still paying the price this morning. On 3rd cup of coffee! LOL!
DeleteThere seems to always be something to celebrate in your family, and how happy is that?!!! Let the good times roll!
ReplyDeleteAh yes. The dance recitals. I remember them well with Surfer Girl. She then built on those experiences to work at Disney for 16 years as a choreographer, stage manager, and even got to be some pretty interesting characters, including the Little Mermaid.
Barbara, it never ends with my tribe! LOL! Another birthday party this Friday night! Wouldn't miss these times for anything. Being of mother that raised three girls I know all too well about those special moments in life too. Sometimes Barbara I think I passed myself on the road back and forth to dance team practice, cheerleading, ballgames and etc. Where had the time went?
DeleteYou have the sweetest grandkiddos evere! The food is always so yummy you create too. My oldest granddaughter is turning 11 tomorrow. Where does the time go??? Seriously why does it fly like it does?! Happy New Week.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kris. Time does fly and I am enjoying our "fun food" by the pond.
DeleteI love the idea of a charcuterie board for dinner! It seems like your family is always celebrating birthdays, we celebrated 2 last week also! I'm so glad you got to go to the dance recitals, it's wonderful that life is feeling normal again! Have a great week Cindy~
ReplyDeleteJenna
There seems to always be a birthday to celebrate with my tribe. LOL! Eat, drink and be merry is what we say.
DeleteCindy, what a lovely weekend! The dancing girls are so pretty and then a double digit birthday party! The charcuterie board looks delicious and sitting next to the pond is ideal! Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. Double digits is very important. LOL! Especially at 10.
DeleteYour charcuterie made me hungry--I think I spotted sushi?!?
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughters cute dance recital costumes made me smile. And you now that I'm loving the purple cupcakes!
Thank you Margie. Yes, crab sushi. I love it. Marty....NO, NO, NO! More for me! LOL!
DeleteOh, dance recitals are such fun! YEARS ago, when our daughter was in dance, she had a Dalmatians outfit for recital, too!! It was so cute! Another birthday! You are so blessed to have so many happy reasons to celebrate! Your snack dinner by the pond also sounded fun. Easy Sunday evening dinners are good ways to start the week and stay connected. Love your beautiful blooms! Aren’t you glad spring is finally here?! Wishing you a happy week, dear Cindy! Zenda
ReplyDeleteThanks Zenda. Yes, eating by the pond has become one of our Friday night things to do right now. Of course weather and critters has a lot to do with whether we get too or not. But for now...yes!
DeleteI remember the days and years of dance recitals. Your little cuties look adorable. Happy Birthday to your 10 year old granddaughter. I had two grands celebrate recently, too, and one is driving! Enjoy that coffee my friend! 🥰
ReplyDeleteGirl, you know I am going to enjoy my coffee...LOL! Thanks for coming by to visit Kitty.
