Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
Good afternoon to all. Hope this finds you all doing well this Sunday afternoon. I am actually seeing a little sun today after many days of rain. Not sure we won't get more rain today. My dirt is SURE WET y'all. I wanted to share a few things I've purchased lately from good old Amazon Prime. I have several friends that post their Amazon prime deals and I enjoy them so much. Here's a few things I have enjoyed.
We have an ORION and we love using it especially when we are grilling large sums of meat or large turkeys, racks of ribs and etc. FAST and EASY. These gloves have surely been a lifesaver from getting burned. Marty uses to them to lift our meats out with ease. These ovens mitts can stand high heat and perfect to use with any kind of grilling. Of course the bear claws are my favorite for pulling pork and chicken.

We have had our Orion for a long time and I purchased it from Bass Pro shop. They are now cheaper than they used to be but we have cooked all sorts of thing on it. Very good for cooking meats and especially when feeding a big family like ours.I like the long phone charging cords so found this set of 4, 2 charging blocks and 2 charging cords, 10 feet in length on Amazon. Perfect for me so I can sit in my recliner and charge my phone while using it.
I also enjoy this wireless cordless I Phone charger. When I am at home and in no hurry I use it a lot.
I have really enjoyed this yoga mat bag. I used it a lot on the beach. It holds a mat, keys, cell phone, water bottle and a small neck towel. I store my mat in it at home but it's great to be able to hold your workout mat and carry it with you. Hope when cool weather gets here I can use it outside a lot.
I made a little trip to our local Dollar tree with two of the grands and found these cute little wooden pumpkins with initials on them for my three daughters. (last name initials)
Our five year old granddaughter got to have her nails done for the first time professionally. I think she may be hooked now!
I will close out with this today as I have found this to be so very true.
I hope that you all have a wonderful week and enjoy each day that the Lord gives to you.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Hi Cindy, that food looks so yummy! Your grand daughter looks so cute with her nails all done. That saying is right on! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan.
DeleteHi Cindy. Love your little granddaughters pretty fingers. How fun for her. Your food always is fabulous to see. Yum. Happy Sunday. Have a great week. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteThanks Kris. Happy Week to you.
DeleteWhat fun to visit here! You always have the most interesting things to see and learn about. Those bear claws look interesting...so you use them to pull pork? I might need to get some of those. Love the yoga mat bag, even though I don't use such a mat, it's a nice bag anyway! And the little pumpkins are adorable. I've been wanting to make a trip to the Dollar Tree lately...so they much have their fall stuff out now...okay, time to go check it out. And your little pumpkin sweetheart is just adorable, getting her nails done already! What a doll!! Someday I am going to get a professional pedicure...I am past due for one, but have never had either a manicure or pedicure. I don't have pretty nails so I don't try to show them off, but I always admire others. You girls know how to have so much fun!! Loved this post! Have a happy week.
ReplyDeleteI have always used a fork for pulling meat but those bear claws really work great! Yes girl, you need to have at least one manicure and pedi. So relaxing. Hugs to you.
DeleteThat last graphic says so much. All you have shared with us here is good (and fun and pretty and useful) but this observation about disposition is what spoke to me the most. Thanks for giving it to us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara. Hope your week is wonderful.
DeleteI love your Friday night fun food posts. You found some great things on Amazon too! I need to check out that yoga bag. How cute is your granddaughter getting her nails done. She even had a ring on. So sweet!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, that one is my prissy girl for sure and she loves her some bling! Ha! Must be a little kin to her Nana!
DeleteSweet post, especially your little cutie getting her nails. She will be hooked…LOL. The dollar store is always fun to visit. Nice gadgets from Amazon. We shop there on a regular basis. Enjoy your week ahead. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYes she will be wanting gift cards to have her nails done now for her birthday and Christmas. LOL!
DeleteI love seeing purchases from Amazon, Cindy. It’s fun to see what other friends find that’s useful. Your little granddaughter’s nails look so pretty. My daughter and I were looking at Cissy’s first manicure pictures just yesterday, when she was that age.
ReplyDeleteYes, those pumpkins are too cute!
I hope you have a wonderful week!
Thanks Kitty. Yes, it's so fun to look back on the grands pictures. Adalynn sure loved getting her nails done.
DeleteOooh, those pumpkins from Dollar Tree are adorable! When I couldn't go shopping, I got my dollar store fix by watching vloggers share their DT hauls and "shop with me" videos on YouTube. I have a few fall-themed DT items on my wish list, but my local DT don't have them yet...
ReplyDeleteWith our local Dollar Tree if you see something you really like and want then you best hurry and get it. A sales clerk told me once that their dishes sell very quickly because they get pretty ones in and of course...a dollar! LOL! Also that their seasonal decor goes quickly. Love me some Dollar Tree.
DeleteThat was fun! My favorite? The grandgirlie all grins with the beautiful nails.
ReplyDeleteShe was so proud of her nails Vee.
DeleteYour grand daughter looks very good with her nails all done, and what a lovely smile she has :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Amazon, Amazon, don't ever go away, cause I need something almost every day!! lol Love your Yoga mat/bag, that's pretty.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it Miss Mary.
DeleteYou always make me smile, Cindy. I hope you have a beautiful day, friend.
ReplyDeleteHope your day is sweet to you dear Linda.
DeleteCindy, thank you for all of the Amazon recommendations. Your grand is adorable with her professional nails. May I come and eat around the Conner pond, the food always looks amazing?!
ReplyDeleteWish you could come sit by the pond and we would have some Good fun food but a GREAT time chatting.
DeleteCindy, thanks for all of these great recommendations! It's hard sometimes to decide if I should order something from Amazon. Prime makes it pretty easy to return things if they don't meet the expectation but if a friend recommends something, I feel more confident ordering. I bet your granddaughter is going to want to have those nails done again very soon! Ha! Wishing you all a blessed week!! Zenda
ReplyDeleteYes prime makes it easier for sure to send back. I have only had to send something back twice. I have got to where I order a lot of my Christmas from Prime. Especially about the time COVID hit. But, I am funny about ordering clothing from amazon. Always afraid it won't fit.
DeleteMy granddaughter who is 8 loves to have her nails painted, but she does it with her mommy, wow yours is going to be expensive!! I love Amazon prime, and what a godsend it was during Covid!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Yes Prime was truly a godsend. And for the most part, it's very convenient for me. Yep, that girl gonna want her nails done a lot now! LOL! She knows that outing was a special treat with her mom though so maybe she won't be hooked with the professional. LOL!
DeleteHi Cindy, thanks for visiting. I just updated again. Lots of pictures but you might have seen a few on Facebook. I bet your peach cobbler is great! We love seafood so every time you post shrimp, I am wanting son. Funny about the fans. We pack travel fans in our suitcases when we travel. Hey, sleep is important right! :)
ReplyDeleteGIRL amen on the fans! I too love seafood and had some wonderful salmon just yesterday.
DeleteAw, your little granddaughter is just so precious showing off those nails!! She is just adorable! I always love catching up with you, sweet friend, and so appreciate you and your beautiful blog. When I saw your shrimp on your little goodie tray, it made me think of the low country in SC and a sauce they make that they dip shrimp in - I wanted to share it with you in case you want to try it. It is so simple - one cup of ketchup, one cup of mayonnaise, one cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of mustard. Just stir together and serve it as a shrimp dip. It is amazing! Sending hugs and blessings your way today!
ReplyDeleteOoh, now that dipping sauce sound delicious and easy! Thanks for sharing. I am so excited about your book!!!!
DeleteThose grilling gloves and claws are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. Those mitts and claws have surely come in handy.
DeleteSo delicious 😋
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was so good.
