Good Sunday Afternoon everyone. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying each day to its fullest. I wanted to share a few things that I have managed to accomplish this week. I am telling y'all, the retired life will keep ya busy! LOL! I usually keep a little corner chair in this spot as most know and I decorate it but decided to use a little serving tray stand instead and dress it up a bit.
I love my cute little teapot. I found it years ago at a thrift store for $3 and it sure has brought me lots of joy using it over the years.
My sweet FIL who eats with us every Tuesday night kept asking me when I was going to "dress my table up again". I love it that he notices when I don't DRESS it up. So kept it simple but I must say I love the simplicity of it.
I come up with a little quick yummy lunch using the air fryer this week. I love using things that I have on hand in my frig. or pantry and these things I had on hand.
Spray your air fryer pan lightly with pam and Preheat air fryer on 400 for 4 minutes. Add your ingredients to your tortilla with seasoning of your choice. Fold over and dab a little melted butter on top. Cook in air fryer for 10 minutes on 350 or until as crisp as you want it. It really depends on type of air fryer you have for how long to cook it. With any recipe I always set timer for at least 1 minute less than what it calls for just to make sure I don't overcook. Since I decided to whip this up last minute I went with 10 minutes and it was perfect for me. It was tasty and hit the spot.
Our sweet granddaughter Adalynn (Ada) turned 6 years on Saturday. She has enjoyed a shopping trip, out to eat, and a trip with her family to Sea World for her 6th birthday.Doesn't seem like it's been 6 years since this sweet girl was born.
This sweet hot mess is Ada's baby sister Annaleigh and while they were watching the Dolphin show at Sea World my daughter captured her facial expressions. PRICELESS! Oh the excitment of a child can surely melt the heart.
I don't know about you but I am a water drinker. I drink lots of water and even carry water to place on my bedside. I can remember as a little girl seeing my granny do that and I guess I took after her. But, I do like to change up my water from time to time so I started freezing flavored little ice cubes to toss in my water sometimes. Usually when I make loaded teas, energy teas, or whatever kind of tea I make I always have a little extra. It's a great way to add a little something different to your water drinking. AND...the younger grandbabies love it because they think it's a special treat to have some of Nana's flavored ice! Ha! Ha! It's a win-win y'all!
I'd like to leave you with this scripture as I close today. It seems so easy to focus on the bad of life and if our minds aren't guarded then I am afraid we can quickly become dissatisfied, disgruntled and depressed. I would rather focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy.
I hope that you all have a wonderful week and remember.....whatever your focus is you will become.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
This was a "pause that refreshes"! I always learn something new and fresh here. Thank you for sharing your pretty tablescape and tea tray with us...and the ice cube idea is great! Your sweet granddaughter is 6! How much fun! And the looks on her baby sister's face at Sea World just thrills me! I love to see the excitement and happiness of children. So thank you for sharing these things with us...oh that tortilla looks great! Never thought of putting pepperoni/pizza stuff on one. Great idea! Have a blessed and happy week. It is Holy Week, which in some ways isn't so happy, and yet in other ways is the best week of the year because of what Christ did for us on the cross. Praise God for our salvation and the resurrection of Christ....opening the door to eternal life for us! Amen.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed...let's give Him praise.
DeleteThose girls are just adorable and happy birthday to your sweet Ada. I love that your FIL notices when you make a pretty table. Isn't that wonderful?!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a really great week. Blessings- Diana
Thank you sweet lady.
DeleteHappy Birthday to Ada!! She and her little sister look like they just loved the dolphin show at Sea World.
ReplyDeleteI like your pretty tea pot in fact that whole vignette is just so cute.
Have a lovely week!!!
Thanks so much GM.
DeleteHi Cindy, I remember when your grand daughter was born with all that hair. Cute pictures as always. Your tablescape is so nice. I did not know you could make those quesadillas in an air fryer. I also make them on a comal-round griddle. I love to make them and they take 2-3 minutes. I usually make mine with chicken. I love how you are so creative! Enjoy your week! Blessings to you too!
ReplyDeleteShe still has a head full of hair too. But it sure did lighten up didn't it?
DeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteLove that sweet tea pot and your charming and serene tablescape!! The pictures of your grand daughters are priceless!! I have no idea how I found time to work before I was retired!!! LOL! Glad to hear that you are enjoying your retirement!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb

Happy blessed Resurrection day dear Jenna.
DeleteThe verse is a beautiful one to start off Holy Week, Cindy. Your table is so pretty with the greens and whites...very serene. Those baby girls are too too cute, snd Happy Birthday to Miss Ada!! Oh, I love your little dressed up corner tray, too. Happy Easter, my friend! 🙏🏻
ReplyDeleteThank you Kitty.
DeleteWhat pretty and unusual dishes you have! Love them. Ada is just adorable and flavored ice water sounds good. I am afraid I would get fat at your house with all the yummys you make! Your corner tray sure makes it look happy. I like that verse also. Nancy
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy and happy Easter and Resurrection day to you.
DeletePeter Rabbit would approve of your cabbage-themed tea setting!
ReplyDeleteI usually drink tea or water. I know some people add frozen iced tea cubes to iced tea so that it doesn't get diluted by water.
Thanks Margie. I love the cabbage theme.
DeleteYour decor is always so pretty. Loving the plates. Now I have to know, where did little ones dark hair go? I was born with hair like that but when mine changed I was OLD and it went gray....lol
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. Yep, that dark hair turned light for sure. I too had lots of dark hair when born.
DeleteHow wonderful that your FIL notices your pretty table and misses it when you do not do it up. Your sweet Ada is gorgeous. Happy 6th birthday. She is the same age as my youngest granddaughter Charlotte that will be 6 in June. Have a wonderful week as we head on down to Easter. Have a wonderful Easter. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteHappy Resurrection Day sweet Kris.
DeleteI love that tablescape and tray table decor! So fresh! Grand babies are so adorable. Happy Birthday to your 6 year old! That airfryer meal looked delish and easy! I like your flavored ice idea for water. I need to try that. I drink lots of water around here too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather Lou.
DeleteI am sorry I am so late to this fun post. Your table is so pretty and I love the cart set-up. Happy birthday to Ada, she and sister Annaleigh are both beautiful! The Philippians scripture is one of my favorites! Have a wonderful Easter week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pam. I enjoyed reading the post Butch made today. Brought back good memories.
DeleteYour words about how our focus affects our mood/attitude are so true. I seem to have opportunity to practice this every day and when applied right, it truly works to help me.
ReplyDeleteThe tortilla idea looks great. I need to try that!
Your dressed up table is beautiful.
Love you so much, sweet friend. It is always such a joy to come here and visit with you and I always leave her so uplifted and refreshed in spirit. Those looks on your little granddaughter's face are just priceless! I can't believe how big they are all getting! They have all grown so much since I first started coming here to read your blog. Time marches on and waits for no one. I love your idea of freezing those tasty drinks and using them as ice cubes for your water. May the Lord richly bless you and keep you and your dear family in His tender care.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl.
DeleteOh, and I meant to tell you that is so sweet how your father-in-law notices about your table and asks you about it. That just really touched my heart!
ReplyDeleteHe came to eat with us last Tuesday and said, "Well, I am glad to see your table all dressed up". LOL!
