Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
Happy Resurrection Day! I hope that you've all had a wonderful Easter today.
We had such a wonderful Easter service at church this morning. I am so thankful that my family worship together at the same church as it sure makes it all the more sweeter. Our sweet granddaughter Adalynn (Ada) turned seven today as well so birthday celebration came after our Sunday dinner followed by a big Conner family egg hunt. It's been a busy day but a wonderful day.Marty and I had a little Easter fun of our own yesterday decorating eggs. Who said that Easter fun is just for kids? LOL!I attended a lovely bridal shower for my (red headed niece) as I call her over the weekend and everything was so pretty. (picture on left I am with one of my sisters)
I wanted to share with you a recipe for Chicken breast in the air fryer. I enjoy using my air fryer and this recipe is for sure a keeper.
Air Fryer Parmesan Chicken
I did add a few more spices and cooked several batches. The chicken was so very moist and very good. The mayo sure keeps the chicken moist. I used Hellmann's. I use mayo to coat under the skins and inside the cavity of turkeys when I bake or smoke them. It sure keeps that white meat moist.
I hope that you all have a wonderful week and maybe enjoy a few left over Easter eggs or chocolate bunnies!
Nana's Peeps always get an Easter goody and I always keep extra for Nana! LOL!
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
I am finally caught up! I know you will be happy to stop seeing such an inundation of comments from me! LOL! So happy you had an amazing Easter celebration with your family. And what a blessing that all of you could worship the Lord together! I am so thankful for Jesus and His great sacrifice for our sins. Sending love and hugs your way this morning, sweet friend.

Thank you GM.
DeleteYour family is not only beautiful but inspirational! What a blessing to our hurting world. The bridal shower luncheon looks tasty and very lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet lady. The bridal luncheon was truly lovely. Was like in my younger days when showers was a get together of spending time together. Eating, playing funny games and just visiting. Now days it seems no one has the time and everyone is in a hurry. Happy Week.
DeleteWhat a great family phot I! I liked how you decorated the Easter eggs with stickers! That's how I would decorate them too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Margie. LOL on the stickers! Marty loves him some stickers. He's worse than a kid!
DeleteI always love to see all your beautiful family gathered around you. What a blessing to have them nearby, and especially to go to church together. That is such a joy! Happy Birthday to your sweet little Adalynn. She is a sweetie. They are growing up too fast. I enjoyed this post so much. Never would have thought of the mayonnaise idea with chicken or turkey. Sounds good. I may have to try it. I don't have an air fryer, however, so not sure about how to do it otherwise. Blessings to you and yours in this powerful and wonderful Easter season.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pam. I always lift the skin of my turkeys and coat as much mayo with seasonings under the skin that I can and in the cavity. Turkey always juicy.
DeleteHappy Easter Cindy! What a wonderful day you had! Such a great family photo, it's truly a blessing your family is so close!
ReplyDeleteJenna

ReplyDeleteThank the Lord for Dollar Tree and Dollar store candy! LOL!
DeleteA belated Happy Easter Cindy! I love your family picture at church. We did not color eggs this year and the kids did not miss it. They love the confetti eggs more! Enjoy your week. I am off to my Bible journaling class.
ReplyDeleteOur grands color eggs at their house. Marty likes to color eggs for him! LOL!!! For our big family Easter egg hunt we use plastic eggs. Mercy, cost too much to use REAL eggs! LOL!
