{It's Been A While Y'all!}

  Well seems that it's been almost two months since my last post! MERCY! I promise I have a good excuse. Since my last post we've experienced birthdays, sporting events, and well, any and everything in between including sickness. I will share a few of my favorite photos with you all during the last two months.  My November focus has surely become dear to my heart.  Marty celebrated his 65th birthday in October. God has surely blessed him as he had a rough year in 2022 with several frightening health scares. God surely went before us and leveled each mountain that we came upon. We also celebrated our sweet granddaughter Mallory's 16th birthday. EXCITED doesn't even describe her surprise to a new car. Well, it's new to her!  I did manage to get in a little hunting and once again God found favor on me! No explanation needed for my lipstick friends! LOL! Well, that is in between trying and I say TRYING to stay on top of my health!  This football season was my favorite g

{Better late than never}

 Good afternoon to everyone. Seems I have surely been behind on blogging as of late. The term "Can't get with the program" seems to be my motto. LOL! But, I am here today.  I have been under the weather for about 10 days but feeling much better this afternoon. God surely has been right by my side. I believe in giving God praise and just want to lift His banner high tonight. Give a little praise with me friends because He is surely a good and merciful father.

My September focus sure came at the perfect time for me.

I was gifted this Thanksgiving catcus about three months ago and it was just a baby. It's growing and so much so that I have already repotted twice.

My favorite grandson, only grandson....a senior this year and his picture is up on the fence at our local football field as he plays football. We are so proud of our Conner.

Football game fan club.

Our Adalynn, (Ada) started cheerleading this year and she is doing remarkable. We might just have a cheerleader here!

Our sweet Annaleigh is on her 2nd year playing soccer and she is doing so good. Scored three goals this weekend.

Anyone else like a Chef salad with everything you can imagine in it besides me?

A friend sent this to me and it made me laugh out loud but oh so true to mention!

I will close with this tonight as it sure spoke volumes to me. I hope that you all have a wonderful week ahead of you. Stay safe, stay well and stay in the WORD! No better place to be.

*A special thanks to several of you sweet blogging friends* It's always nice to know that you are missed.

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  1. I'm so glad you're feeling better. It seems a shame to feel under the weather in Fall.
    Your grandchildren excel in different sports and keep you busy attending games. I think cheerleader Adalynn is the cutest little cheerleader I've ever seen!

  5. Hi Cindy, I enjoyed all your pictures! Sorry to hear you have been under the weather. Sometimes we just need to take a break. I seem to be blogging about twice a week now. So many things to do everyday, even if that means taking breaks from the computer. Enjoy the rest of your week and I pray you have a complete recovery!

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Another Fun Filled Weekend}

I hope you all are doing well. I am trying to wind down for the night and thought I would try and get a post out. Girls, by this time I am in my fat clothes and recliner smashing that remote control!   Marty and I kicked off our weekend by having a little fun food as I call it,  "charcuterie" style out by the pond. Of course I always fix more than we need or eat but it sure was good.  Two of our granddaughters had dance recitals over the weekend so we got to watch them perform and oh my! They were just the cutest things ever.  We were blessed to be able to see them perform. Then we celebrated a birthday for this sweet grandgirl! She was excited about being double digits . And besides all the fun from the weekend I was able to see some of my pretties in bloom.  Now to enjoy a cup of coffee.... I hope that you all have a wonderful, blessed week.  Hugs and blessings, Cindy

{Pinterest Favs and My Simple Life}

  Isn't this Coleus just beautiful? I have about 4 of these pretties that I started out in just one pot and the next thing I knew I was replanting in different pots. We had a girls day out this past Friday and I enjoyed our outing so much. Cracker Barrel was first on the list and then shopping. Nothing like a girls day with your girls. Sure does refresh the soul doesn't it? I have had this little sign for a few years now and found it at Tractor Supply . I just love it but let me tell y'all something...you can find all kinds of goodies at Tractor Supply. I went in recently to look for some seeds and well, let's just say I came out with more than I went in for!  Now for Pinterest Favs and these Yummy Chewy Brown Sugar Cookies are first on the list!   This recipe is tried and true.  YOU CAN'T EAT JUST ONE ! These things will melt in your mouth. The recipe made a large batch so needless to say family and friends were gifted cookies! Next time I make these I think I wi
