Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
There isn't anything any worse at times than to be running late, in a hurry and you get STOPPED by a red light. Or, we are just about to make it on time but here we drive up to that STOP SIGN. URR! I don't know about you but I need some Stop Signs and Red Lights in my day at times. If I am not working outside the home I am working inside the home and just need a break from doing things...Regardless of whether I am answering the phone on my job or sitting for hours at my sewing machine. We all are busy people! I don't know anyone that isn't busy! Our busy schedules need to interrupted with a little leisure or time of reflection.
Sometimes we just merely need to STOP and breathe!
Take a minute out for yourself and away from the busyness of life....
There are two ways of making it through our busy life. One way is to STOP thinking....the 2nd one is to STOP and think! Many of us live the first way! We tend to fill every hour with activity.
Let us Stop and think about what is important in our life and if being so busy being busy is really necessary. Look at the interruptions in your life as maybe the Lord nudging at you to STOP and rest in Him a moment. Or to STOP and reflect on His goodness.
STOP, and enjoy a cup of tea or cup of coffee and say, "This is the day the Lord has made; lets be glad and rejoice in it". Psalm 118:24
Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Thanks for the reminder that I need to slow down...and just meditate on God's goodness in my life. Nita B
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Post. Thank you, Blessings, Ginger
ReplyDeleteI have the distinct pleasure and blessing of going to our son and DIL's house 3 mornings a week to dress our 4 year-old granddaughter and take her to preschool. Most mornings I say, "This is the day..." to her, as one more way to teach her early to be grateful and thankful and aware of our many blessings. Thank you for this nice post. ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteAs I was reading this, I stopped and took a deep breath! Thanks for the reminder, Cindy!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, what great food for thought...I do need to take the time to "STOP"....and let HIM speak to me!!! Thanks for the sweet reminder, Ms. Cindy!! HOPE you have blessed day!
ReplyDeleteTalk about getting stopped at red lights....We really should be grateful for the interruptions we have in life at times. They may very well be a God interruption! And yes, I needed a reminder to slow down a bit! Thanks Miss Cindy. Kasey
ReplyDeleteTo your Bible verse I say, "Amen and Amen".
ReplyDeleteThis the day which the Lord made and we should try to make the best of it we can.
Thanks for the reminder and for visiting my blog.
It's nice to meet you!
Cindy, I love your pink rose tea cups! They look so lovely in a stack. Even better, the photos of your beautiful daughters and grandchildren. You truly are a blessed woman. You also have great looking sons, or son-in-laws. I get it about your post. Stop and think. Life can change in an instant. We need to get right with God. We had a wonderful crusade at our church the past five nights, and over 200 people came forward to accept Christ. The crusade was by the Power Team.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Beth
Wonderful post! We do need to be reminded to stop every once in a while and savor the moments!
