{March is well under way}

February days are now gone and March has officially kicked in.   I finally purchased a new monthly focus board.  We ventured out for a day date which included a movie. I love our day dates. I will give my honest review about the movie for those interested. I wanted to see this movie as it was based on a true story. I did enjoy the movie but oh my, it was a tear jerker from the get go! It ended good but mercy! Let's just say that I am thankful that no one was sitting close enough to see my tear stained face. I am glad that I saw it but I am good for a while on sad movies, even if they do end good!   My oldest daughter, her husband and their son participated in the Spartan race which is a series of obstacle courses that challenge. They done so well. As you can see from the pictures it gets pretty muddy!  My three daughters participate each year in the Gate River Run. I love it that they do this together. They have so much support & encouragement from all the onlookers. I am just

Friday Favorites With Dawn

This gal has made it so easy for Friday Favorites. I'd like for you to meet Dawn Hoyle, owner of page book page called Simply Southern At Heart. She shares decor, designs, recipes, and so much more on her facebook page. I sent Dawn a message to ask if I could introduce her on my Friday favorites and show off some of what she posts on her page. Of course she said yes but does want us to know that she does not own any of the pictures or recipes that she post. She finds the pictures on the Internet and from other favorite sites. She actually needs no introduction....her FB page already has 16,033 likes · 58,145 talking about this.  That could have changed already in the last minute! Dawn said,  "I started this page as it is something that I love to do, it relieves stress and gives me happiness to see and share beautiful things. ".  Thank you Dawn for sharing with us. Google Simply Southern at Heart and check Dawn's page out! Love her daily show cases!

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD

Last Wednesday in our Wednesday in the Word I tossed out some pieces from the book Crazy Love. If you missed that post and want to read it you can find it here. http://creationsbycindyphotography.blogspot.com/2012/08/wednesday-in-word_21.html Today I would like to continue with a few pieces from the book called Crazy Love. Once again, this is not a judgmental post on anyone....Take my word for it...I am preaching to the CHOIR! Do we offer God our leftovers? God wants our best, deserves our best and demands our best. From the beginning of time He has made it clear that some offerings are acceptable to Him and others are not. Just ask Cain, upon whose offering God " did not look at with favor". (Gen 4:5) It is so easy for us to fill ourselves up with other things then give God whatever we have left. A mumbled three minute prayer at the end of the day, when we are already half asleep. Two crumpled-up dollar bills thrown in as an after-thought into the church'

TUESDAY TOOTS

Tootin' with the grands..Nothing like them grandbabies!  We have a craft and baking day at Nana's house sometimes and oh do they have fun! Here is the deal with they are at Nana's! We don't do anything that isn't fun! We don't eat anything that is good for you!!!! We might brush our hair and oh well, we might not! Needless to say...we pretty much do what we want too! Isn't that how it is suppose to be at Nana's house? I have a play room for them and it is filled with dress up outfits, shoes, crafts, books, toys, TV, movies and etc. They love it! But we also have rules! They like this rule the best: Craft time! Of course the baby is more interested in taking the cushion in and out of the chair!!! She has already changed into some of the dress up clothes.  She is getting very serious right about now with her craft! He isn't!!!! LOL! My only grandson and he is all boy!  He wore his tee shirt on all day backwar

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD

Food for thought this week.  This is statements coming from the book "Crazy Love" not a judgmental attitude of any kind. Just food for our thoughts this week. Lukewarm Christians tend to choose what is popular over what is right when they are in conflict. They desire to fit in both at church and outside the church; they care more about what people think of their actions (like church attendance and giving) than what God thinks of their hearts and lives.  "Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets". Luke 6:26 "I know your deeds, you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead." Rev. 3:1 Lukewarm people rarely share their faith with their neighbors, coworkers, or friends. They do not want to be rejected, nor do they want to make people uncomfortable by talking about private issues like religion.  "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Fa

Tuesday Toots

Want to "TOOT" on my tablescape today! I realized recently that within the next month I will be changing out my tablescape and have not shared my BEACH THEME!!! It started with this jar. I bought this years ago from a friend that had a little shop in our home town. I decided to build around this theme. Then the fun began!Sea shells, potpourri, colored stones and candles set the tone.  Oh yes, 40% off at the Dollar General!  Looks pretty beachy to me! Decided to go with the green and blue... Cute little salt and pepper shakers from the Dollar General...yes, 40% off! The sand dollar I found on the beach in Fernandina Fla in 1999. Made a great little covering for my dish of potpourri. I also found this adorable picture frame at the Dollar general. My youngest daughter made the picture on a road trip she went on this summer and I added some scripture and it was perfect for my tablescape. I've had the blue place mats but fo
