Hoping this finds my sister bloggers doing well on this windy Sunday afternoon. Yep, we've got a little wind howling around here and a tad cool but I am enjoying a lazy afternoon. My Sunday lunch crowd (my family) have left for the day so I am kicked back. Sunday menu today consisted of: Chicken and dressing Giblet gravy Italian green beans with ham Mac & Cheese Homemade chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache. Yep, they are little spoiled at Nana's house. I am not a huge fan of cakes with icing but it must have been good as one of the grands had two slices. These gals and I have been friends for more years than I remember and since we've all retired within a few months apart in retirement and age (dating back to 4th grade in school) we try to get together once every 4-6 weeks. We always do something extra for our birthdays but was a tad late celebrating mine this year together due to other appointments that was a must. We always have a gr...
“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16; NLT).
Living in a fallen world we deal everyday with hurts, needs, sickness and more. Sometimes our hearts are so overwhelmed by the many needs of our family and friends.
We must carry these needs to the Father in prayer. He is the ONLY one that can truly heal a marriage, restore a family, heal the sick, and turn the impossible to possible.
May we be diligent with our prayers. May we seek Jesus in all things.
I love what Charles Spurgeon said: "We need to recognize that our spirit needs prayer like our body needs food!
Prayer is the Key to all things!
Let’s commit to spending more time in prayer today! Make sure you don't allow the enemy to rob your time to pray — for it's in prayer that we tap into God's unlimited power that makes demons tremble!

ReplyDeleteAmen, Cindy! The prayers of a righteous man availeth much. I just don't what folks do or how they cope without a relationship with Jesus and knowing we can go to Him for anything and He hears us!

Great quote, Cindy. I wrote it down and taped it to my computer.
ReplyDeleteI for one could not get trough my day without starting it with prayer. Of course I pray throughout the day too, but my best focus time is in the morning. I look forward to that time alone with Jesus.
Love this post Miss Cindy!

Thanks for a beautiful message. We are so blessed that God allows us into His presence in prayer.
ReplyDeleteThis is so good, Cindy! We sure do need to communicate with our Lord through prayer. I think Satan's subtle way is to keep up busy so the time flies by. We certainly need to keep ourselves prayerful all the time and especially this season! I love your Wednesdays in the Word.
