It's a tad late to wish a Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily. I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...
What is your New Word for 2014?
This year as I was praying for my new word for 2014 I could never settle on a word. My friend Darlene Rockefeller made me a sweet wall hanging for Christmas and the word was REJOICE!
I knew in an instant that was to be my word for 2014.
My Scripture is "But let all take refuge in You REJOICE; let them sing for joy, and spread Your protection over them, that those that love Your Name may exult in You. For You bless the righteous, O Lord; You cover Him with a favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:11-12

ReplyDeleteHappy 2014! I like that! Let's always rejoice!....Christine
ReplyDeleteGreat word Cindy. I think my new word for 2014 will be "think". I have made some very hasty decisions in 2013 and did not think about them first. Some of the decisions I made has come back to haunt me. In all honestly Cindy, I truly want to "Think" before making decisions of any kind. Thanks for posting your new word! Connie Royals

Love your post Miss Cindy. I had not even begun to choose a word for this New Year and here we are 8 days into it. Perhaps over the next day or so my word will reveal itself to me :-)...Until then I will Rejoice in yours!! Johnna D.
ReplyDeleteCindy, what a great new word! I truly do rejoice in all of the wonderful blessing the good Lord has given me. To be honest, I have never really picked a new word for the New Year. I just always feel so blessed. May need to think about a specific word.

Hi, Cindy. Thanks so much for your sweet and emphatic comments about my Three Kings celebration post--it means so much to me to read that somehow they touched someone out there.
ReplyDeleteI'm on your email list, so today I read your post, and I LOVE your word this year. I look forward to more posts around it.
You have no idea how you inspire me each time your posts appear in my email! Thank you.

Hi Cindy and Happy New Year! I love the word REJOICE! I choose to rejoice each morning that I wake up.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love it! Joy must be filling God's heart this year because versions and portions of that word keep popping up among blog friends this year. Several have been lead to the word JOY, but you are the first to be lead to the verb. I'm a verb person so I particularly love it.
ReplyDeleteRejoice in the LORD always. Again, I say Rejoice!
A bit late catching up but so glad to come here and see the word and the verse God gave you for this year. I love it. My word for this year is JOY. My verse is: You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with JOY in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:11 (NIV)
