{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

It has truly been fun getting to know other blogger's and even things about our own friends that we didn't really know! So with that being said...let's do it again!

1: I came out of the restroom of a restaurant with toilet paper hanging from my pants!
2: One that comes to mind is "I wanna hold your hand" by the Beatles.
3: Well in Florida the answer would be none! Too hot all year to me. But my answer would be Fall.
4: Shoes with some height but not tall.
5: Awe...the mountains 
6: Romance 
7: Fried chicken, hands up!

    What great questions!!! Okay, here goes:
    1. When I was a teenager, I went to a revival with my Aunt....who drove a white Corvair with red interior. When the service was over, I got into her car to go home....but it wasn't her car. Now what are the odds there would be two cars just alike in the parking lot? And, in my defense....why didn't they lock their car? LOL
    2. Anything by Journey or Bob Seger!!!

    1. I lol when I read Debbie's embarrassing moment. I can do one better! After running a quick errand with my husband, I jumped back into the passenger seat of our car only to realize it wasn't our car! The hint: the man on the driver's side was a very surprised man who was NOT my husband! Our car was two cars down. We all had quite a laugh...at my expense!! :)

    1: embarassing moment? I had to sit down and really thing about this one. I have to say... not remembering someone. I find it very embarassing, and it makes me feel so terrible when someone knows me but I can't recall them, even after being reminded of where and when.
    2: favorite song as a teenager? Daddy's Hands by Holly Dunn
    3: favorite season? I Love them ALL... Winter - is Cleansing and Majestic, Spring - is so Fragrant with flowers, Fall - is Beautifully colored by Mother Nature. But Summer is the best for me beause I am such a water person.
    4: What is your favorite type of shoe to wear: A slip on (in between casual & dress) with a tiny bit of height because I'm so short my long dresses sweep the ground.
    5: beach or mountains? My dream is to have a small farm on the water with a mountain view, but since I can only have one... Water it is!
    6: movie genre? Honestly, ALL. I am a huge movie buff. I use to have a movie library room aka extra bedroom in the basement that I lined the walls with bookshelves and filled every one with DVD movies.
    7: Favorite food dish? Again, ALL! I love everything about food. Look, smell, texture, taste and even love cooking it! When eating out, I usually go for Seafood, Italian, Chinese / Thai.
    I loved your answers, I bet you make fantastic fried chicken too.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... {March Is Underway}

  Welcome to March! The little grands and I kicked off March with a sleepover at Nana's house. They are so much fun and so energetic. COFFEE has earned my love forever for sure! LOL!  We started out with a sack lunch from Burger King (their favorite) and headed to a cute little park that is only about 2 miles from where I live. The girls has so much fun. The girls put in for Nana to ride the horsey. Well, y'all know I had to show those littles that Nana still can do that!!! Two of the girls wanted to play with the old Halloween wigs but the youngest one opted out. She said it made her head itch. LOL!  We had a tea party for breakfast. Our tea party consisted of smoked sausage, peaches and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy to my tummy the youngest one said! I finally got around to making myself a healthy fruity Icee. I made the girls snow cones out of the same healthy fruits. Guess I needed too so they wouldn't be so hyped up from all the cookies when returning home. Hee-hee!...

{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
