{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

Tuesday Toots

Lots of "Toots" today.....Feeling a little blessed I guess you could say.

When I can I join Jann over at "Have a daily cup of Mrs. Olsen"  for her blog party called, Share your Cup. This party is for anything that makes you happy that you'd like to share. I had recently shared my Banana pepper rings and guess what? I was featured on her blog! Hop over to see the features http://jannolson.blogspot.com/2014/07/share-your-cup-thursday-109.html
I even got a feature button for my blog! Thanks Jann for the feature! I love Jann's parties.

 Here was my featured peppers! And here is my cute little featured button...

Whipped up a cute little dress for one of the grandgirls. Simple but adorable.

Cute little black and white dress with a little eyelet ruffle. I love how the top ties on the shoulders.

The little white flower can be used to pin on the dress or as a hair bow. Looked really cute pinned in the front with the white satin tie.

Decided to get another flower that could be for pinning on the dress or for her hair. Got black...she can interchange them out or use with other outfits.

She is going to look adorable in her black and white summer dress.

 After I got the pictures made of the little dress and posted I realized I had the dress crooked on the hanger! Oh well......

Got to share my Amish bread with you. (Well not to eat though) LOL!

A friend of mine from church recently took a little vacation and visited the Amish country! First of all her pictures made me want to PACK up right then and join her!

She was so sweet and brought me back some fresh bread....I loved the little gift bags the bread was in....Aren't the little birdies just the cutest?

In one bag was Banana nut...2 small loaves.

 In the other bag was Cinnamon...OH MY! I just want to lick the icing off the top so no one else will want to eat it! LOL!

 Yeah, I felt pretty special....

I recently had a short little getaway with my man. We rode the 4 wheeler on some leased hunting land that we deer hunt on, spotted a beautiful deer grazing on the green, went out to eat, shopped a little and well, just had some quiet time with each other! Ya know us old married people need to do this sort of thing from time to time. It sort of takes your focus off the every day hustle of life and allows you to focus on a little fun.

But when I spotted deer tracks my ole heart went to humming! About time to get my bow out and practice girls.

Well enough "tooting" for today. So I will leave you with this....starting on my blue, white, and silver tablescape. 4th of July has come and gone so now onto another pretty tablescape. Have got my tree done though...sneak peak....

 White tree, blue satin ribbon, blue and white coffee cups and tea bags! YEPPERS! It is all coming together...

Hope to show you my tablescape soon!

Have a good Tuesday and be sure to tune in tomorrow for Wednesday in the Word....

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  6. That little dress is adorable! What pattern did you use? I'd love to get busy and start making some dresses for my little grandgirls. It's been a long time since I had small granddaughters and I wouldn't dream of making my teenage and pre-teen granddaughters any clothes these days! :)

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{March Is Underway}

  Welcome to March! The little grands and I kicked off March with a sleepover at Nana's house. They are so much fun and so energetic. COFFEE has earned my love forever for sure! LOL!  We started out with a sack lunch from Burger King (their favorite) and headed to a cute little park that is only about 2 miles from where I live. The girls has so much fun. The girls put in for Nana to ride the horsey. Well, y'all know I had to show those littles that Nana still can do that!!! Two of the girls wanted to play with the old Halloween wigs but the youngest one opted out. She said it made her head itch. LOL!  We had a tea party for breakfast. Our tea party consisted of smoked sausage, peaches and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy to my tummy the youngest one said! I finally got around to making myself a healthy fruity Icee. I made the girls snow cones out of the same healthy fruits. Guess I needed too so they wouldn't be so hyped up from all the cookies when returning home. Hee-hee!...

{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
