Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
When we built our house years ago we decided
to be sure that our three daughters each had their very own bedrooms. Prior to
that our two youngest daughters shared a bedroom together. They had become so
used to sleeping together that this transition was a little hard for them
to grasp at first.
I noticed one morning that the girls was each in their own bedroom but was laying half way in the hallway with heads pointing towards one another and holding hands.
As long as their faces were turned to one another and their hands touched they somehow knew everything would be okay.
You know, sometimes it seems that God is so near but at other times we experience insecurity and uncertainty when we face challenges that seem to zap every ounce of strength that we have. Sometimes our faith is being tested through those moments, hours, or even years of life.
The Lord keeps me reminding me that my true security is found in Him regardless of my situation. He is my strength when I am tired. He is my rock when the ground is unstable. He is my my life boat on troubled sea. He is MY EVERYTHING.
What a friend we have in Jesus! How comforting to know that His FACE is ALWAYS towards me and His HAND ALWAYS has mine!

Talking to my daughter last night about how there seems to be so much stress in our lives and those we know. I told her that we need to lean on Jesus. He is made strong during our weakness. He is who we need to turn to when we have trouble. Pray and tell Him your concerns for the situation (even though He knows already).
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding us that He is always near especially in our time of need.
Oh Cindy, what a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness to us...of His face always being towards us. We all have those moments of insecurity and is comforting to know that we are secure IN HIM. May God bless you the remainder of this gorgeous autumn day!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, what a beautiful post of God's love. You always bring joy to the heart of us readers.
ReplyDeleteYes, our loving God is always near and faithful to our needs and fears. With HIM we need not worry.
Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week.
Hugs and Blessings
Your daughters had the right idea! Keep our face towards Him and hold His hand! BTW, what your daughters did is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Oh my goodness...so sweet!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh sweet Cindy, God bless you for this wonderful post, as I've been in great need of something like this. I've been upset with God lately, but yes, He's the only one that comforts me at the end.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing, you have touched me!
Thank you for your sweet visit.

LOVED this so much. Reminded me of our three girls (years before our adopted kids)...for a while they ALL shared a room cause they liked it better...and felt safe.
