Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
OOH...love me a good yard sale! Haven't been in a while so took a couple of hours and decided to treat myself.
Don't you love these????
And of course I could not PASS THIS UP!
I just love this pitcher. I have several like this in different sizes.
This is Tupperware and I have one exactly like this one that I've had for years and I use it to make tea in for big family gatherings! Now I've got another one! I might use this one to store my flour in with my sifter! Dang I'm becoming more and more like my granny!
This will be cute for Easter.
I see a paint job with a project coming up for this wooden piece.
I can't hardly pass up a cute basket!
Quart size paint cans! Looks like a craft with the grands coming up!
More jars.....I reallyneeded wanted these! And for 10 cents each...dang...just had to snatch em!
Cute pumpkin basket don't ya think?
Sweet little music note ornaments!
I spied a couple of decorative vintage cans that I couldn't resist getting.
Cute salad set contains a glass salad bowl, wooden stand it sits in, wooden spoon and fork and the glass oil and vinegar bottles. I loved it. (Got it washing as I type)
Then I found this at another yard sale and thought...this will be so cute with the salad set to put seasoning in for the salad.
I think it goes nicely with the salad set.
Love this! Going in my laundry room.
This still had the tag on it as you can see. There's so many different ways to use this.
Two floating shelves. Only needs a quick coat of paint.
I love this crystal vase.
Just a little bit of a makeover on this piece and I think I have the perfect spot for it!
Well girls...not too shabby for a mere $25.25.
Which of my treasures do you like the best?
Happy Tuesday!

What great finds, Cindy!! I don't think I could have passed any of those up either. I have to say, I'm pretty partial to that glass pitcher. Can't wait to see what you'll do with each of your new 'projects.' Don't forget to post their updates! Hugs! Z
ReplyDeleteI love the pitcher too! I have others of different sizes that match this one!
DeleteWhat a haul you got for great prices!!! I can't pick....love it all. Too bad we can't go yard-saleing together! You need to come to Tennessee again soon, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI know Deb. We could do some major yard-saleing couldn't we? And talking.....
DeleteGreat treasures Cindy. If I had to pick only one for my favorite it would be the salad set. That would go so well with my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
Thanks Connie. I love the salad set too!
DeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteSaw you while visiting Laura and just had to stop by, your blog is lovely. A beautiful reflection of your Faith and love of your beautiful family. Smitten with vintage tin cans!
Have a very nice afternoon,
Jemma
Thanks Jemma for stopping by to visit me. Made my day!
ReplyDeleteWoW...great 'loot.' How can I pick a favorite when they're all so good. I haven't been 'junkin' in a while, you've put me in the mood! Wishing you happy and blessed days!
ReplyDeleteI gotta be in the mood but when I am...I go 100 MPH! LOL!
DeleteGreat finds! I try to stay away, but there is a good one coming up Fri.! The wodden box is the rage now for centerpieces!
ReplyDeleteI have several really pretty wooden boxes in my shed and have yet to use one as a centerpiece. But I am going too....that's what I keep saying. LOL!
DeleteHi Cindy, you have a good eye for treasures...I wouldn't have passed any of them up! My favorite? the glass pitcher.....hugs...
ReplyDeleteI loved the pitcher too Penny.
DeleteMy first thought, Cindy, was--"we should be garage sale-ing together!" then I thought, "No, we can't go together because we'd want the same things!" LOL . What good, fun bargains you found! ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteZuni, I might have to do you like my precious motherinlove used to us girls. We'd go yard-saleing and she would tell us to sit in the car and if she saw something good she would come back and get us!!! Of course that meant she got all the good stuff first. Strangest thing...WE MINDED HER TOO!
DeleteI love garage sales and it's the season for them isn't it. We are trying to clean out, so I have to really try to restrain myself but I'm sure I'll be out there hunting for that perfect deal. I know it may sound crazy but my favorite of your "finds" are those glass jars. There a steal at 10 cents. Just think they could be future jars of salsa or gussied all up and b made into a table ornament.
ReplyDeleteI love jars too Maryann. So many things one can do with a jar!
DeleteWow Cindy, you got quite a fabulous haul of treasures! I love the vintage tins and oh that wooden tray! You did great, I'd love to go shopping with you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThinking now what I want to do with my wooden tray! Too many ideas floating in this pee brain of mine! LOL!
DeleteOH my goodness! You got so many great treasures!! I can't decide what I like best!! That Tupperware canister brings back memories. I bet the paint cans will be a fun craft project with the grands! The floating shelves and little furniture piece will be awesome I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather. I did feel like I had gotten me some good treasures too!
DeleteI love your finds, Cindy! I just love yard and garage sales...and thrift and charity shops, too! :)
ReplyDeleteWish we could do some "junkin" together Linda! What fun that would be.
DeleteHi Cindy, well I can't pick a favorite. You found so many great treasures I love them all.
ReplyDeleteYou sure hit the jackpot on your yard saleing!! Love the last cabinet and look forward to your makeover. I do love the etched pitcher too and I have a Pyrex bowl very similar in pattern.
Have fun decorating and creating with your pretties.
Hugs, CM
Thanks my friend!
DeleteLOVE the cabinet! And the salad set + the shaker to go with it is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dianna.
DeleteYou definitely found some great stuff! Makes me want to get out there and hit a few sales myself this weekend!!
ReplyDelete~Trisha
Thanks Trisha.
DeleteHi Cindy - It's so fun to hit the sales and you found some great treasures, too! I'm loving those pretty bottles and the two tins. I really like the sewing tin:) xo Karen
