Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
Happy Monday!

My answers:1: What is your favorite season and why?I guess I would say Fall. (of course in Florida it's about the same all year it seems) But for me Fall speaks quietness, serenity, the smell of candy apples and pumpkin bread, a gentle breeze that says, "sit outside on the front porch and hang out a while". Without sweating! LOL!
2: If you could choose another first name for yourself what would it be?
Actually I would want to be called by first and middle names...Emily Grace.
3: If you had the opportunity to vacation at one of these places all summer long where would it be? The mountains, lake or beach?
Ooh, that's a hard one because my first thought was "Mountains". Actually I'd rather be in the mountains in Winter. So, my answer would be the beach. Awe...yes, a nice beach house and my children/grands could come and go as they pleased.
Bonus question:
What has been your latest {DIY} project?
I've always got something going so it's hard to say but I guess the last project I actually started and completed was over the weekend. Painted a wooden box I got from a yard sale with a chalk paint recipe. I loved how it turned out.
Hope you have a great week and remember...stop and have some fun along the way of life this week!
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
What a fun Monday post! I loved reading your answers, Cindy!C
ReplyDelete1: What is your favorite season and why?
I love them all! I lived in a place where there was only one season, Hot! So now, I'm so happy to enjoy each of them! Is this fair not to have one favorite?
2: If you could choose another first name for yourself what would it be?
At one time, a kid, I wanted to be called by my Daddy's name...Randy, but spelled Randi! Silly~
3: If you had the opportunity to vacation at one of these places all summer long where would it be? The mountains, lake or beach?
Ooh, that's IS a hard one! Beach, I suppose!
Bonus question:
Decaupoge, a frame.
Love your answers and I love the RANDI! I think that would have been great. Just so you will know...our 3rd and last child-girl...was named after her daddy. His name is Marty and we named her Marti with middle name being Leigh. So we call her both names! Thanks for having fun with me.
ReplyDeleteFun game Cindy! My answers: 1: Spring...love the smell of spring. 2: Olivia (after an Aunt that I loved dearly) 3: Beach for sure! ALL YEAR LONG. Bonus: LOL! NOTHING...I do good to cook much less anything extra. Connie Royals

ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog but will return for sure.
Judy
Thanks Judy for stopping by.
Delete1. Spring - love when everything starts turning so pretty and green. 2. Same name, just reversed since I have always been called Jackie (always make the first name of a child the name you intend to call them). 3. Mountains, absolutely love the western NC area or the eastern TN area. 4. Too old to worry about a project anymore. Like the other person said, I am doing good to even cook. Love you Cindy and you do an awesome job with your website. I always enjoy seeing what you are up to. Jackie
ReplyDeleteMiss Jackie...you cracked me up about the cooking! Thanks for the encouragement. I do enjoy blogging.

DeleteHi Cindy, love this post.
ReplyDeleteLove the first of spring when all the flowers are in bloom and the weather begins to warm.
I would keep my name since I was named after my grandmother.
A cottage by the beach.
My latest project is working on a home office.
This was fun Cindy and I enjoyed reading yours and the others too.
Have a blessed evening. CM
I could see you painting outside your cottage by the beach too! I already see some beautiful roses!
DeleteOh this is fun!!
ReplyDeleteHum here we go...
Favorite Season-Fall! I love pumpkins, Fall flowers, apples, decorating, and the cool air!
Change my first name to Emma (it is my middle name, but I'd like it to be my first name)
Vacation at the Mountains!! Oh yes, every single Summer, a beautiful cabin by a lake:)
Latest DIY-A Fourth of July Wreath!
Thank you for your thoughtful visit too-I really appreciate it!
Hugs,
Jemma
I love the smell of Fall. Thanks for visiting me too!
DeleteAlthough I love all the seasons, my favourite is Autumn...the colours of the leaves changing, the brisk, fresh winds, cooler temperatures and my birthday is in the Autumn. :) I would choose "Evelyn". No reason other than just liking the name. I would love to spend time at the lake! I love the water, but not necessarily swimming in it or sunbathing, I just love the fresh smell, the sound, the reflections and I love to go on a boat, too. My latest project is organizing my apartment, which I love to do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post, Cindy! :)
I wish I could get enough energy up to organize my home! LOL! Thanks for stopping by to see me Linda.
DeleteHi Cindy, My favorite seasons are summer and fall...if I must pick one, it's summer, because I like gardening and I like long hours of daylight. If I had to pick another name for myself, wow...never thought about that and I really like the names Shelby and Dana and Josey, but they don't fit me. How about Julie? Yes, Julie. I like the mountains best. We really love Estes Park, Colorado and have been there more times than any other vacation spot. (I want to move there!) Fun quiz, Thanks, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteI love your name...
DeleteLoved all your answers..here's mine. I love cooler weather, I guess my favorite season is the fall. I've learned to like my name but as a little girl I always wanted to be Debbie.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to the mountains. Where I live it's very flat..mountains would be a nice change. Latest DIY project, it's been a while. hmmm...does cross stitch count? Today was fun!
Cross Stitch Count is a project for sure! Thanks for stopping by.
