{February Happenings}

  Well our February Florida weather is cool in the mornings, warm during the day and cool at night. Which to be honest, suits me! But, we can't have perfect weather that suits us all can we? This weather has had me in the baking mode though. I saved a few apples from our mountain trip and baked an apple bundt cake to freeze for a Sunday dinner sweet.  Decided to whip up a batch of Kitty's shortbread spritz cookies. They weren't as pretty as hers but oh they would melt in your mouth. Be sure to pop over to see her recipe.  https://www.kittyskozykitchen.com/2025/01/impossibly-easy-ham-and-swiss-pie-and.html#more I had some left over deer venison and decided to make a Venison and Penne Casserole. Was a hit with Marty and his dad. But, we love all things venison around her neck of the woods.  One day I had some broccoli that was going to go bad if not used so whipped up a little comfort soup. Broccoli and shedder cheese soup.  My oldest granddaughter Raygen bought h...

{This and That and Happy Easter}

Well it seems I am bouncing around right now from one thing to another. I've been doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that. What have you been up to this week?

Baby girl carried me to a few of my "hot spots" for thrifting recently so found these cuties at a Goodwill. And NO I didn't need them but as one of my sisterinlove's would say, "It's not a matter of if I need it....I just WANT IT!

Won't this be cute this Fall?

Watching the grandgirl play some ball is always fun...

Watching my grandgirls fight over who will get to feel the baby move is always funny! They all won this time around though.

Had a little birthday celebration with my mom and two of her friends for her 76th birthday.

Nothing sweeter than the bond of friendship.

I saw this on Wendy Saunder's Creative post (she is on Pinterest) and I loved it. Isn't this just the cutest? I may need to fix the front of my little shed like this.

We had movie and popcorn night at church and it was so much fun. Did I mention we had CANDY too?

We watched the movie the War Room with Priscilla Shirer. I've seen the movie but love it! So worth watching again. I love Priscilla's words...

 I bought this cute little dress while in Nicaragua for my youngest grandgirl and she loves it.

 My great niece and great nephew came over to visit and isn't this just the cutest little picture?

Loved snapping a few pictures of them.

Decided on what dishes I wanted to use for my next little tablescape...

This about sums it up with my little bit of this and a little bit of that! Well...that's all I have time to tell you about anyway...

I do hope that you all have a wonderful Easter.May this Easter be a time to remember what Jesus done for us on the Cross. He took our sin and placed it upon Himself for us so that we could have life eternally. I will forever be grateful for what He has done for me. Nothing more than a mere old sinner saved by Grace.

Happy Easter!

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th...

{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
