{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...

{Thursday Tidbits and a GIVEWAWAY}

Well, no baby yet but I am anticipating a call anytime!!! My daughter is actually due on April 16th, which just happens to be my oldest granddaughter's birthday. Now the 4 D sonogram said April 14th. To me...that's just 2 days earlier but to an EXPECTING, back hurting, leg hurting, no sleeping at night mama...that's music to her ears, right?

She is a school teacher and since Spring Break in our county is over with she went back to work on Monday. I sent her this saying and told her she might want to put this on her desk at school....

We did go this past weekend and get pedi's done. It was fun and most relaxing for me whether it was for the Pregnant lady or not! LOL!

I love this place we have in our county. Jasmine's is what I call a higher CLASS of style but in my range of price! Now you can't beat that can you

When first entering the shop here sits these beautiful shoes!   BE STILL MY HEART!

Of course any color you may choose is available! And this isn't the only display for their polish.

YES, YES, and YES! Matter of fact I think I will have a cup of hot tea...or maybe coffee...or a glass of sparkling lemon water.

Beautiful and elegant.

Now I might could take a nap in that chair!

But...I'll have a cup of tea instead!

Ooh...and it was so good.

This is the flavor I had and it was very good. You can order it online. Matter of fact you can buy it right here....https://www.teaforte.com/
They have a sale going on right now for some of their teas and if you are a new customer you can get 15% off with a code.

After the pedi's we went and enjoyed lunch and then I hear that Walgreen's has  {buy one and get one} at 50% off of all their flipflops! Oh my goodness! Well since I just had a freshly done pedi I sure could use some new flipflops.
Aren't they just the cutest?

I am about to get caught up with a few projects I've been working on and one is the wreath that will go on the door at the hospital when my new grandgirl gets here.

Lucky for me I had several rolls of this stuff I bought last year on sale. When I first began to work with mesh I had a HATE relationship with it. Then it went from hate-like....NOW...well I'm still not crazy about working with mesh. But somehow it always turns out good! The good thing I have found with mesh is it's very forgiving.

Yes...it's beginning to come together....

And don't ya just love the pink bear?

Ooh...love me some gingham.

And I will show you the final product when it's on the door at the hospital! Just so you know....You won't miss it! My grandgirl is going to have the biggest, prettiest wreath on her door EVER! LOL!

I love my Family sign that my baby girl gave to me. I have just one name on there that has no date for her birth. Waiting...waiting...waiting....

  But.... yesterday I went with my girl to her Dr. appointment and he did say that he would be surprised to see her back in the office next week........We shall see....

That was good news for her so we celebrated at Starbucks with a cake pop and a Caramel Macchiato. It doesn't take much for us to have a party of some kind.

Maybe by this time next week I'll be telling you all about our new grandgirl!

But for now I think I will sip coffee out of my coffee mug that my middle girl gave to me and journal......

But...I do want to give one of my blogging buddies this beautiful cake plate with server....

 Now here is all you have to do to enter the contest. Guess how much my grandgirl will weigh at birth without going over! That's it! The one that comes the closest will win this beautiful cake plate and server.

My girl thinks she looks awful but she really looks good to be nearly 9 months pregnant!

Now I think it's only fair that I tell you this. My girl weighed 7lbs 11 oz when she was born. My soninlove weighed 9 lbs 14 oz. when he was born. The doctor and sonogram tech is estimating a 7- 7 1/2 lb. baby. So...what are your thoughts?

Let the guessing begin......and....just think!

Our Lord knew this sweet little girl before she was ever conceived. He has a plan for her life. My prayer for her as it has been for all my grandbabies is that she would come to know Jesus at an early age. That she would love Him with all of her heart, soul and mind. That she would prosper and excel in all that she does and that she would bring HIM GLORY! That His hand would be upon her and that He would find great favor in her. I am already praising Him for all that He will do for our sweet little Adalynn.

NOW...who is going to win?

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    Your daughter is beautiful.
    I will guess 8 lb 2 1/2 oz because that was my daughter's weight.

    I gave my girlfriend an assortment of Teaforte for her birthday, and she LOVED it. She had it at a spa once, but wasn't able to buy any. I'm more of a coffee girl myself, but tea in the afternoon is lovely!

    I am so excited for you! Nothing like new life, and new grandchildren are always such a joy. Your daughter is adorable, and I bet she's an amazing teacher. Love the orange top you had on at the nail place. Great color on you :)
    Your door decoration will be the hit of the hospital!

  13. So precious to READ the excitement in your lives as you await the arrival of this precious gift from God... How I wish that EVERY baby was as wanted and loved her ... But at least one thing is for sure ~ They are ALL Wanted and LOVED by their Creator <3 The wreath you making is going to be BEAUTIFUL I know ... but How you DO all you do I have NO IDEA ha ha ha ... your sweet family is so BEYOND BLESSED to have you and vise-verse ... I'm going to give her GOD's numbers for her weight 7lbs 6oz ... 7 is His number for perfection and 6 is the number of man ... So that would be God giving her a perfect child of man.... But even if she weighs in at 10 pounds ha ha ha ... she'll be the PERFECT child for "your girl" and "your son in love" .... hand picked for them by God <3 Love you all and excitedly awaiting the pictures of the JOYOUS BLESSED EVENT <3 Alisa

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th...
