{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...

{Did I tell y'all how much I love my Tea-Coffee Set up?}

I know I have showed you all my little set up for tea and coffee in my little room before right?

 I have so been enjoying a cup of tea in my little room while working on a project or on my computer. My man says that I am just playing house in my room. LOL!

I've been enjoying my different flavored teas that my friend Debbie Ray sent to me so much.

 I love all the different flavors....
Wish you could smell this brewing.

 This one is my favorite. But I love anything with mint.

Oh so very good.

 I also love coffee. I've been looking for the little filters everywhere for my little one cup pot and figured I was going to have to order some online. But, while shopping at Publix look what I found?

This made me a Happy Camper!

So, I gathered up my coffee stuff for my room.

 I like all different types of coffee as well but my all time go to is Black Silk

Yep, think I have a good little set up with coffee and tea now.

What is really great is that our guest bathroom is right outside the hall from my little room so I can grab water from there. Or I can grab a bottled water from my cabinet from my desk. Either way is good by me. My water from faucet is good old well water so you can't go wrong either way.

 YEP, think I'm going to enjoy this a LOT! My man has asked, "Do you plan to live in that room? My answer, "It all depends on you! LOL!

I hope that you all had a great weekend and are having a good week. I surely have. Had a pool party with the girls and grands over the weekend. Done a a little shopping and today I made a bread pudding.

I hate throwing left over bread, buns or rolls away that is on the verge of being out of date. Most often I freeze them to use later for a recipe or I feed it to the fish in my pond. But, decided to use some left over rolls and make a bread pudding.

 Here's the recipe should you want to make some.

Simple Bread Pudding:

4 cups of bread cubed.
2 eggs beaten
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup of butter, melted
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon-ground
Take a small casserole dish, maybe about 1 1/2 to 2 quart one and layer your bread in it. Then take your eggs that has been well beaten and add your other ingredients to the egg mixture and mix well. Pour mixture over your bread and pat it down with hands so the bread will soak the juices in. Bake in preheated oven (350) for 40-45 minutes.
Add a little vanilla ice cream and WA LA!

Hoping you all have a good rest of the week and weekend.

And...look for someone to share Jesus with. I doubt you will have to look too far.

 Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  1. Oh Cindy, I wish I could join you in your darling room. I even could bring my Johnson Bros. matching teacup, and then I'd take a big serving of bread pudding, which is such a favorite of mine. We could have a big, old party!
    I hope you got my email that I sent you...love and hugs to you, sweet friend.

  3. Oh, how I'm enjoying your little room (not as much as you, I bet, though...;) I haven't sprung it on Jack yet, but next winter when we can't get outside and work I'm thinking my craft room will get a makeover....shhhh, don't tell him, okay! ;-) HOPE you have a great rest of the week, too. 5. I think your little coffee/tea set-up is great...and I'm so glad you are still enjoying your tea! I only drink one cup of coffee in the morning with my breakfast and don't drink a lot of hot tea in warmer weather. I had to laugh when I read about your answer to your hubby's question about you spending so much time in your little room...I would have answered the same way...LOL! If you're like me, you just need your own space sometimes! Enjoy the rest of your week.♥♥♥

  9. I love you little coffee-tea bar! I have never tried Black Silk, for some reason the name makes me think it might be very strong. Is it? The flavored teas are awesome, I wouldn't mind giving them a try! I so happy for you, that you're enjoying your new 'woman cave.' Hey, does that make hubby a cave man?!!! lol

    1. Miss Mary , try the black silk . You may be surprised . To me it's not strong but but has a bold flavor . We love it . Me. Marty has his man cave in the barn as he loves to piddle there . So I guess I can have my woman-cave . 😂 Some people live hot tea and I have friends that hate it . That's all my mom will drink , is hot tea . I try to keep her with different flavors but she prefers the regular black tea .

  10. Your tea/coffee bar is a great idea and looks like it's working out perfectly! I love Mary's comment about your hubby being a 'cave man!' Although it's nice to be together a lot of the time, it's also important to have independent interests and places to spend some quiet or thinking time away from everyone else. Jerry is planning his new shop area. I'm not sure when the construction will begin but since the move, he's missed having a workshop with all of his tools. Wishing you a blessed week, Cindy!! Zenda

  15. Cindy I think you are just about ready to move in permanently into that room. Granted it is lovely but the way you have stocked it you'll never have to leave. Lol!! I also love a good cup of American coffee. That's what I call it. Because here in Greece we drink the "Turkish" kind. When I go visiting my kids the first thing I do when I get up is turn on that coffee machine and have that lovely smell permeate the house. Nothing like it. My son is a tea drinker and he must have about 20 different brands in the cupboard. I had to throw some out last time because they had expired.

You have inspired me to make a cute little set-up just like you with coffee, tea and maybe a little treat or two too. Bread pudding oh my, we do love that too, my fellow is from Mississippi so he knows good southern food!

Oh, we are so worried today, but we have to keep redirecting our focus to our dear Lord and His ability to heal and save. I am so sorry I don't get to visit your beautiful blog...I have signed up to receive your posts by email multiple times, and for some reason, my silly computer keeps diverting it back to an old email address that is no longer even in existence!! 22. What fun! Having your own coffee/tea setup! We love our Black Silk too, but our all-time favorite is Tim Horton's coffee, when we can get it (it's Canadian). Your little tray setup is perfect! My, those teas look so wonderful, I enjoy green tea the most, what a lovely gift you are continuing to enjoy from Debby! Yes, I can see why your little room is becoming more and more a spot you just want to hang out in! I am a huge fan of tea, as I find it very medicinal and therapeutic, not to mention flavourful and a comfort! And I love all your photos. In case I haven't mentioned it, I love your red background on your blog. It is attractive and easier on the eyes than the traditional white. :) Hope you are doing well, dear friend.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th...
