{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{The Tans may fade but the Memories will last Forever}

Our family had a wonderful time together on our beach vacation. There is just something about those ocean waves and salt air that I love! The good thing is we only had to drive about and hour and a half to our destination so it made you feel like you were on vacation but yet close enough to go back home if you needed too.  And...late in the afternoons we spent our time by the pool which made it nice.  We even had our very own live mermaid ! The cutest thing was that our granddaughter Mallory would swim around with that mermaid tale on in the pool and there was one little girl that said to her brother with her eyes so big, "Look, there's a real mermaid" .  S he had all the little girls at te ntion. We enjoyed our grands so much and I can assure you that little thing probably walked 100 miles on that beach. Beach hair and we didn't care! Nothing like family.... This girl decided to rest and matter of fact, ...

{The Count Down Is On}

I am counting down days until our family beach trip. Until then I will share some happenings around the family this past week. My beautiful daughter Melissa and her husband Brad just celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. They are also parents to two of my granddaughter's Mallory and Kyleigh. I ordered myself a new ladder stand for bow hunting and it came in. It's in one of my trees right now so I can practice a little before bow season. That thing went high in the sky and I decided It needed to be lower to the ground so off came some of the ladder part. Been baking cookies for a few church events and a few special folks as gifts. Strawberry cookies and so ever easy. They are my go to when I am pushed for time. And of course I couldn't leave my man out.   Watched these two grands participate in a Track and Field event that they have been t raining for all summer. It was so much fun oh my was it oh so HOT!      They...

{It's a Family Life}

Hey friends, I feel like I have been gone forever from Blog land since I missed last week blogging with you all. But, I have been busy with the family and loving every minute of it. My mercy! Now don't you just want to kiss those sweet cheeks?   We spent a fun day at a Aquatic Center which is only a little over an hour drive for us. The kids had a ball.   One side of the park was geared towards the younger children. The other side had swimming pool, a larger slide with tunnel for the older kids and the Lazy River that you can float down. It's a small water park but honestly, plenty to do and keeps the kids entertained. I love it that it is a day trip and it doesn't break the bank to go! They had things for younger and older children to do. My favorite was the Lazy River. Nothing like just floating down the river. I did let the older grandchildren talk me into sliding through a tunnel to the pool. YEP, done it ONE TIME ! Felt like I was havi...
