{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

{Five Random Facts About Me} And a Few Pictures.

Several of my facebook and blogging friends join in on {random facts} at times and it always fun to learn something new about them. It is funny though at how we can know someone forever and learn something new about them and think; "why I never knew that". Thought it would be fun to share a few random things about me. Would love to hear your answers as well.  Web Image 1: What is something that you try to keep on hand in your pantry if possible? My answer: Well, basic staples for sure but something that comes to mind is Pasta . Our church has a committee that helps to feed the families of members that has passed away at our church the day of the funeral service. It is a great and wonderful ministry.  I'm on the salad team. So, I always try to keep pasta handy for a pasta type salad when called upon. Most often we only know a day before the food item is needed so having boxes of pasta helps out. I have made every kind of pasta salad that you can imagine for ou...

{ A Bit Of This And A Tad Of That}

Isn't this plate just adorable? I helped to host a bridal shower over the weekend and the Bride to Be gave all of the hostesses this gift. I love it. What a thoughtful gift. After Sunday dinner some of my crew gathered outside and we painted pumpkins. The kids had so much fun.    The smiles on those faces....Melts a Nana's Heart... This is our staff at the church where I have been the Administrative Secretary for 20 plus years.  As most of my friends know I work and minister at a church but I am a member of another church, sister church,  where I worship, teach and serve. I've always said I've had the best of both worlds as many do not have the opportunity to have two church families. Staff with spouses The gentleman pointed out is the Pastor that I have served alongside of for 20 plus years. He retired recently and he and his lovely wife Judy have moved to Memphis. It has been a bittersweet time for so many but I am so...
