{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Birthday, Nail appointment and Flowers} A great combination huh?

My first born celebrated her birthday and I must say, her daddy is sure getting older!  We had a wonderful lunch and my oldest granddaughter baked her mama a birthday cake. Doesn't it look too pretty to eat? My grandgirl has become quite the baker and that makes me so happy.

Kristy is quite amazing. She truly has a kind and humble spirit that shows the love of Christ to her family, friends and to all that know her. We couldn't be more proud of her.

I decided it was time to do my nails so I made myself a nail appointment at Cindy's Nail Salon.  I have no excuse for not doing them as I keep plenty of nail supplies around for the grandgirls. Mercy, I have a whole cabinet of nail stuff.  When you have five granddaughters then you have nail supplies, hair bows, lipstick and stuff to make cookies!

I probably threw away at least a dozen bottles that had dried up. But finally narrowed it down to a few of my favorite colors.

 Now to make myself a pedi appointment...LOL!

 I was checking on my little garden one morning last week and these flowers were blooming with delight. "Bloom where you are planted" was my very first thoughts....amazing at how the Lord speaks to us through His beautiful creations.

I hope that you all have a great week and remember.....

Sometimes it is just hard to have JOY especially when things around you don't seem too joyous. Choosing JOY regardless of the situation at hand can surely change our attitude. As a child of the King I realize that real joy only comes from Him.
I am reminded of a favorite childhood song.

I have the joy, joy, joy, joy,
Down in my heart, (where?)
Down in my heart, (where?)
Down in my heart,
I have the joy, joy, joy, joy,
Down in my heart, (where?)
Down in my heart to stay.

I will be singing this all day now....

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Not going to get the dip done any longer, now that my nails are half way grown out, I'm not going to put that stuff on them anymore. I'll get manicures and regular polish. And, my hair, that's a whole other issue. I'll be first in line. :o))

Hmm....maybe her sweet Nana? Happy birthday to your daughter, and yes, isn't it something how men get older all by themselves? LOL! But, truly you really don't look a day older, sweet friend. 1. Awe girl, I have worn about every kind of nail over the years...well, they are constantly coming out with new stuff so I guess I haven't worn everything. Though I don't do as good of a job as a nail tech does I did learn years ago how to do my own nails and I keep stuff on hand just in case. Well, the just in case came. LOL! I usually have a thin layer of acrylic put over my own nails but because of it, it sure has made my nails thin. I don't like doing my own nails either! Thanks Deb.

  15. I LOVE that little song. I can remember singing that in Sunday School as a child, and I loved how the teacher would always cup her hand around her ear when she said "Where?" And we would shout out our answer "Down in my heart!" That just brought back such happy memories. I love that you had a wonderful birthday party for your beautiful daughter. And that cake is amazing!!! Wow! Your granddaughter is quite talented. (Like her grandmother). And your manicure looks fantastic. Wish you could come do mine. I do not have very nice nails and I rarely ever paint them. It just doesn't stay long. I like to play in the dirt too much. LOL. Yes, today and every day I choose JOY! Where? Down in my heart to stay!!!

But I am going to admit, I do love pretty nails. And I hate doing my own so you just let my gal that does my nails get back in business! LOL! I will probably be sitting at the door!

  17. Happy bday and what a beautiful CAKE. But your cakes always look great. YUMMY. I looked at my toe nails, I don't have pretty long finger nails so I never paint them to draw attention....but looking at the toes I realized that a couple of them was missing the polish. HAHA....I think after three weeks and shower pressure hitting them they just could not hold up. So, last night they got cleaned up and a nice coat of a pale pink added. I love the dark colors but I stopped using them cause they tend to stain my nails and I have a hard time getting it all off. Anyway, I dry to use my older polish, before drying up in craft projects. HAPPY DAY....

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th
