{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

{Thankful and Blessed}

  Merry After Christmas Everyone! I hope that you all had a most wonderful Christmas. It is truly my favorite holiday season. I love the lights, the music, the gift of giving and mostly the acts of "goodwill" towards others that I have witnessed this Christmas season. The Lord has surely blessed my family and we have enjoyed our Christmas season together. I have tried so hard this holiday season to not take these sweet moments in life for granite.  I have done LOTS of baking this Christmas! Oh my! I've often said that baking and cooking was good therapy for me and I do enjoy it so much. Well, I am not showing all the pictures of baked goods this season but let me just say, my freezer has baked goods for many Sunday dinners to come! LOL!  I so enjoyed giving baked goodies to others this season as gifts. I think "baked goodies" speak love to me and mainly because it's time consuming and you know, it would be much easier to run out and buy a small gift. But, ...

{Christmas Cookies, Christmas Pictures and Grand Fun}

  I hope this little post finds you all well and experiencing joy this Christmas Season. I have been staying fairly busy but also enjoying some time off from work. As most know I work PT outside the home but have taken some time off and trying to savor the moments of the Christmas season.  I wanted to share a few snaps we took outside with a very simple little set up. But they turned out so cute. I LOVE the expression on the youngest grandgirl's face.  God surely knew what He was doing when He gave us grands!  Mercy, I sure do love these babies and so thankful God gave them to me.  We had a little fun baking too. Pretend baking and REAL baking!  YES LAWD...I had a mess to clean up but it was worth it to hear the laughter, singing and of course, smacking those sweet lips as they tasted their finished cookies.  And, we had enough cookies that they each carried home some. I snapped this picture upon retiring one of the nights over the weekend that the g...

"A Little Christmas Magic" Is In The Air

  I have surely been enjoying my little Christmas magic at my house. I just love my fireplace mantle and hearth this year.  There is just something about a red and black scarf that can show case anything to me! It show cased me last Christmas and believe me, that's a job! LOL!  And who doesn't love trees....and well, anything in nature and outdoors suits me just fine.  Add a few red birds and I begin to feel my heart do a little pitter-patter. I just love Christmas and I love everything about it. Especially the CHRIST in Christmas.  My little sign " HOPE and BELEIVE "...says it all for me. The Bible says that a people without HOPE will perish and let's face it friends, where would we be without HOPE .  I honestly shutter to think where I would be. BELIEVE, Oh yes....I truly believe in the Name above all Names, Jesus Christ and I believe this scripture without any reservations. This scripture is my life verse!
