{Hello friends}

  Hoping this finds my sister bloggers doing well on this windy Sunday afternoon. Yep, we've got a little wind howling around here and a tad cool but I am enjoying a lazy afternoon. My Sunday lunch crowd (my family) have left for the day so I am kicked back. Sunday menu today consisted of: Chicken and dressing Giblet gravy Italian green beans with ham Mac & Cheese Homemade chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache.  Yep, they are little spoiled at Nana's house. I am not a huge fan of cakes with icing but it must have been good as one of the grands had two slices.  These gals and I have been friends for more years than I remember and since we've all retired within a few months apart in retirement and age (dating back to 4th grade in school) we try to get together once every 4-6 weeks. We always do something extra for our birthdays but was a tad late celebrating mine this year together due to other appointments that was a must. We always have a gr...

{Enjoying Life, One Day At A Time}

  I hope this finds all my blogging friends doing well and staying healthy. I just want to thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers for Marty and I. We are doing well. Still fighting allergies but that seems to be quite the norm for many of us. We are truly blessed. My smell is slowly coming back day by day. Praising the Lord that I can taste. CRAZY at what we take for  granite. I go back in May for a another follow up and have been working on building up immune system. If the drink isn't sweet enough I add a 1/2 - 1 pack of Splenda and they work for me. I don't like banana's though so NO banana goes in my mouth. LOL! But I do love all sorts of other fruits though so it has actually been fun making my own little boost drinks. That's w...

{Sharing My Heart Today}

  It seems that it's been forever since I have made a blog post. To be honest, I wasn't physically or emotionally able and I wasn't sure how to share to be honest so I just decided to be me....and share my heart. But, I first want to share that the last time I blogged I shared with you all that Marty and I was going to the mountains so let me share about that a little first.  We had the most incredible mountain view while on top of a mountain and God surely allowed us to enjoy His beautiful creations. It seems that was already so long ago that we went as it has been a good while since I have posted anything on the blog.   The weather was great, the views were simply breathtaking and the cabin was as cute as a button.  The beautiful tapestries of God never lack in color no matter the season we are in.  The quaint and tidy sweet cabin was everything we needed and desired.  The cabin was called "Bird Song" and it was obvious the owners of the cabin had a...
