I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts. We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield. We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord. I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it. Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...
Happy Sunday afternoon to all. I actually started this post yesterday but life happens so at least my pictures were saved. I hope that you all enjoyed a sweet time celebrating the men in your life on this wonderful Father's Day. We have had a lovely day with the kids and grands at my oldest daughter's home.
I spent a day at the beach this past week with these girls. The sound of the ocean and salt air was surely soothing to my soul.
One day last week I decided to do a little beach theme for my dining table so then I began to crave the sounds of the ocean.

Met up with two friends from grade school and it was nice to see them again. We met under sad circumstances as we were all attending a funeral but it was nice to visit with these ladies.
My yoga class is hosting a "family day" once a week through the summer months so I was thrilled that two of my grands could join me. Sure makes a Nana smile big.
One of the ladies in my class brought us lemon grass. There are so many things you can do with lemon grass but due to lack of time and jars I decided to simply whip up some lemon grass flavored water to mix with some other essential oils for my diffuser. The smell is just heavenly.
As I was sitting in my little home office typing this blog post I looked over and was reminded of something that maybe one of you, just like me, needed to be reminded of today as well.

GM, the humidity has been horrible to be honest. The temps are rising and summer time in Florida in truly here!

DeleteWhat a delightful and happy post, except for the funeral of a friend, but even there you got to meet with special friends. So wonderful that you can spend a day at the beach with your pretty young ladies and have some fresh air and sand and surf to make you smile. Your table makes me smile too. And that lemongrass idea sounds really sweet. I wonder what it smells like? You are so full of good ideas...I wish I could follow you around and take notes. LOL. ReplyDeletePam, you would enjoy the smell of lemongrass as it's so refreshing. I love to make lemongrass tea too. Hot or cold. But right now I am smelling the aroma mixed with some peppermint oil in my diffuser and it's heavenly.

DeleteOh! Seeing you all at the beach made me so homesick to go! There is nothing in the world like sitting by the ocean hearing the waves splash. I miss our times going to Myrtle Beach when we lived in SC, but maybe one day the Lord will make a way for us to go back. He is surely so faithful!
