{Hello friends}

  Hoping this finds my sister bloggers doing well on this windy Sunday afternoon. Yep, we've got a little wind howling around here and a tad cool but I am enjoying a lazy afternoon. My Sunday lunch crowd (my family) have left for the day so I am kicked back. Sunday menu today consisted of: Chicken and dressing Giblet gravy Italian green beans with ham Mac & Cheese Homemade chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache.  Yep, they are little spoiled at Nana's house. I am not a huge fan of cakes with icing but it must have been good as one of the grands had two slices.  These gals and I have been friends for more years than I remember and since we've all retired within a few months apart in retirement and age (dating back to 4th grade in school) we try to get together once every 4-6 weeks. We always do something extra for our birthdays but was a tad late celebrating mine this year together due to other appointments that was a must. We always have a gr...

{Show and Tell}

  Where has the month gone too? Mercy, I can't believe September is almost here. I wanted to pop in this afternoon with a few new products that I am trying out. I love it when some of my blogging friends share what they've tried good or bad. It is always nice to hear the thoughts of others. Several of my friends use this brand of foundation so thought I'd give it a try. I like Neutrogena products so why not try the foundation. I use Infallible 24 hour L'oreal Paris as its long lasting and gives a good coverage. For a few bucks more though I decided to give Neutrogena foundation a try. Though it's a great coverage and smooth finish I couldn't tell a difference really between the two products. I think I will stick to my old faithful L'oreal unless they go up in price.  I do like the L'oreal. I normally use a tea tree type of shampoo on my hair but I do like to change it up from time to time. I decided to try this. My hair is dry and my skin is dry so anyth...

{Hello August}

Hello friends. I hope that you all are enjoying your summer. For me it seems that summer has been quite busy with one thing or another but I am sure we all feel the same most days. As Marty reminds me often..."We are as busy as we make ourselves at times". TRUTH!  I am ready for some cooler weather here in Florida myself. How about you? Marty and I went to the Riverside Arts Market recently that is held each Saturday. It's held outside under tents and a bridge. It was a nice outing with vendors selling their specialty homemade items, produce, food trucks and live music.  The view of the river was nice so we purchased a hot dog with bottled water and sat close to the water under shelter and there actually was a cool breeze that came off the water as we listened to music. I did purchase a few sauces and we love them. Might have to go back now just to get more! LOVE those little day dates! This weekend we took Friday and Saturday and went to our hunting camp and done a littl...
