{May Blessings Photo Dump}

June has crept upon us it seems. Y'all, it's six months until Christmas! LOL!  Wanted to share a few of my May blessings.  We have been blessed with fresh potatoes. We've been able to share some with others and still have plenty. My cucumbers, okra and orange tree was destroyed in the tornado that we took a hit from but what a blessing that we pulled the potatoes before the tornado.  Speaking of tornado it's been a job cleaning up the aftermath. God spared our home and us as we were home. Marty and I heard the sound of the tornado and retrieved to our bathtub for safety. The affects surely done a number on our barn, my shed, a pull trailer and oh our property was in a mess. Huge OLD trees gone! Such a mess but we are beginning to see the light at the end of tunnel with the cleanup. We have been so blessed with our children and friends that have come to help us. God surely had a hedge of protection around us.  Our oldest granddaughter Raygen graduation from College as Su

{It's almost February}

We are about to in February y'all and do you know what that means? Well, for starters February will kick off my birthday month but it's our annual Mountain getaway for two ! YEP, my three daughters pout every year because they can't go but we didn't make it to 46 years without truly guarding some of our precious time. I wish these younger couples would learn to GUARD some of their precious time.   For today, I will share a few flashbacks from my week.    One of my elementary long time friends gave me some of her beautiful Meyer lemons. This is the 2nd batch that she has shared with me. I have juiced so many and frozen for treats and recipes. I just love all things lemon. I had a batch of apples that needed to be used so made a fresh apple and walnut pound cake. Saved half of it and froze it for our upcoming mountain trip. The other half didn't last long round here with my tribe. Made a big pot of  sausage and potato soup in which my oldest granddaughter loves. So,

{FUN TIMES}

Hoping that you all are staying warm. Us Floridians sure can't handle the cold too good! LOL! I have decided that I must be a Spring and Fall kinda gal! What is your favorite season of the year?    I recently carried the youngest three grands to get their nails done. Oh my! I think I may have started something and may have to go back to work part time! LOL! We had three days together doing whatever they wanted to do and made lots of memories. However, this Nana was in need of some STRONG COFFEE once they went home.  We took a day to process some venison and make some sausage. The Lord blessed us with several harvests this season.  Marty's dad joined in with us. It's hard work but oh so good. The Lord was surely good to me in allowing me to harvest this beautiful buck. I had been sick a few days and had not been able to get out to hunt any. I was somewhat feeling a little sorry for myself to be honest because at that point I had overed the nasty, awful Covid and was healing

"It's A Brand New Year, A Brand New Day and A Brand New Moment"

  I sure hope your New Year has started off good and that you are enjoying life. I wanted to share a few pictures we snapped over the holidays. Of course I wanted to share my WORD for "2024". The Lord surely has speaking to my heart about staying focused on Him and not worrying, fretting and pondering what the future holds because HE is the ONLY ONE that holds my future.  It's always fun to see Santa and know him up close and personal. LOL! (Marty's brother played Santa for all of our children) My girls! Lots of love with our family. A whole lot baking and cooking went on too over the holidays but I had some good little helpers. I had to show you all the beautiful gift that my sister Mary gave to me for Christmas. It meant so very much too me and as always, God's timing was perfect. Nothing like being wrapped in the Word in Word of God.  I will close with my January Focus. This is my 3rd year of doing a monthly focus board and a reminder that no matter what we hav
