{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

Happy Fall!

 Image Credit I have felt somewhat out in left field lately with so many other responsibilities that I have not had the time to blog or to look at some of  your blogs. The last time I blogged was September 11th. A lot has happened in the last few months that has taken a lot of my most needed attention. I have "given" myself permission to blog when I can and when I can't then I just can't. Do you get that way sometimes? You feel like you have to give yourself permission to be what you can, when you can and to whom you can?  I have missed some of you guys a lot and I know that several of my sweet blogging friends has kept me abreast of things and also has been my prayer partner over the past few months. THANK YOU from the depths of my heart!  I've had ladies ask me, "why do you blog?" and I guess my truthful answer would be that it is a way for me to express myself..whether it be sharing the things that I am passionate about or simply the things ...

Wednesday In The Word-Remember 9/11

One thing that 9/11 taught us is that tomorrow is not promised!   Image Credit If only we could apply that line of thinking to other areas of our life. The truth from the 9/11 tragedy is some of us now realize that the nice cars, big homes, fancy clothes, big diamonds, lavish trips and more, are here today and gone tomorrow. Maybe we have come to understand, as the Apostle John came to understand, that serving God is much more important than honoring our own desires. “For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:16-17) We mourn for the families of that tragic day and pray for them. But may this tragic day be a reminder to us that our life on this earth is short. What are we doing with our today? If TODAY ends for you, where will you spend...

Wednesday in the Word-Spiritual Warfare

As Donna Pyle puts it in her Bible Study called, Your Strong Suit , spiritual warfare NEVER ceases! She goes on to say, "Living for Jesus in this present darkness is not waltzing through a meadow picking daisies. It is stumbling through enemy territory surrounded by snipers".   Image credit Living in such a fallen world as we do it is becoming all the more evident that WE as Christians must stay on guard to the schemes of the enemy. Satan came for one reason... .to kill, steel and destroy!   I want you to think with me for just a minute. What is a sniper? What does he do? A sniper has been in training. A sniper knows his target. A sniper scouts out his enemy. A sniper hides where no one can see him. A sniper makes himself look less visible to others by wearing a mask. A sniper locates his target, aims carefully and shoots. A sniper uses a distinct, high precision rifle and is a very sharp shooter.  The Sniper and Satan have a lot in common don't they?...

Wednesday in the Word-JOY

Most days we Must CHOOSE Joy simply because we can! I enjoy reading things written by Kay Warren, wife of Rick Warren (The Purpose Driven Life). She has a book called, "Choose Joy--Because Happiness isn't enough".   Never has truer words been spoken. If we base our joy on being happy all the time we would not have any joy!  Kay tells a little story about a person's expression of joy being based upon their personality traits. I love how she says this... Let's look at the personalities that Kay has mentioned. ·          Tiggers: Tiggers are bouncy, flouncy, trouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! They bounce through life with a spring in their step. They laugh loudly at parties (I’ve decided they do everything loudly), they tell jokes, and they think everyone is their best friend. Even if they can’t remember your name, you’re their best friend. Of course, joy comes easily to them — right? ·   ...

Wednesday In The Word-He is the King

The Bible says that one day we will all stand before the Lord and every knee shall bow....... Romans 14:11 says; .Is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.". (NIV)   We ALL will bow regardless of whether one knows Him personally or not! He is the King of Kings! Matthew 7:21-23 says, " Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.   Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’   And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (NKV) Oh I pray that that those that do not know Christ will HEAR His voice. Time on this earth is but a vapor. Here today and gone tomorrow.  James 4:14 (NASB) says, "Yet you do not know what your life will ...
