Well our February Florida weather is cool in the mornings, warm during the day and cool at night. Which to be honest, suits me! But, we can't have perfect weather that suits us all can we? This weather has had me in the baking mode though. I saved a few apples from our mountain trip and baked an apple bundt cake to freeze for a Sunday dinner sweet. Decided to whip up a batch of Kitty's shortbread spritz cookies. They weren't as pretty as hers but oh they would melt in your mouth. Be sure to pop over to see her recipe. https://www.kittyskozykitchen.com/2025/01/impossibly-easy-ham-and-swiss-pie-and.html#more I had some left over deer venison and decided to make a Venison and Penne Casserole. Was a hit with Marty and his dad. But, we love all things venison around her neck of the woods. One day I had some broccoli that was going to go bad if not used so whipped up a little comfort soup. I have felt somewhat out in left field lately with so many other responsibilities that I have not had the time to blog or to look at some of your blogs. The last time I blogged was September 11th. A lot has happened in the last few months that has taken a lot of my most needed attention. I have "given" myself permission to blog when I can and when I can't then I just can't. Do you get that way sometimes? You feel like you have to give yourself permission to be what you can, when you can and to whom you can? I have missed some of you guys a lot and I know that several of my sweet blogging friends has kept me abreast of things and also has been my prayer partner over the past few months.THANK YOU from the depths of my heart! I've had ladies ask me, "why do you blog?" and I guess my truthful answer would be that it is a way for me to express myself..whether it be sharing the things that I am passionate about or simply the things that I JUST find cute, crazy, funny, sad, or etc. Either way...blogging for most people is a way to express themselves...help others, invest in others and for most of us...we can just simply be ourselves. I hope to be blogging with my Wednesday in the Word again soon......Who knows? Been thinking about changing things up a tad anyway...this might be a good time to do just that! BUT.......I wish you a very safe and fun Halloween. For me I will be sharing some of time with my church tonight making pictures of those cute babies that come to trick or treat!
Here is a printable I found free that you might like...print away!
