{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

Wednesday in the Word-{His Presence Is Near Us}

One of the promises that God makes to us as his children is his promise to be near.    David wrote in Psalm 139:9-10, "If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me."   I love that scripture. Some years back my youngest daughter and a couple of her girlfriends done some summer traveling. So many of the pictures she made turned out beautiful. But then I love pictures that reflect the beauty of the Lord. There was one that showed the crystal blue water with the beautiful sand and I just loved it. I added the scripture to it (Ps. 139:9-10) and framed it. You can't see it as well as I would like for you too as I have it in a frame but it is simply breath taking. I've been pulling out different things to do a Beach theme tablescape and of course I grabbed this picture. It has been such a reminder to me that my God is always near to me. Think about it.......

{A Grilled Stuffed Chicken Breast Recipe} and some wholesome Bread!

Nothing like some fresh baked bread right? Especially when I am using my bread bowl that has been passed down to the 4th generation! My great-grandfather actually carved this bread bowl out of wood and I do love using it. This sweet bowl has been used for a lot of things such as holding fruit, baked goodies, baked bread and more!And you know I name everything so I named him after the man that made him...Henry! I am now known as the BREAD making fool...LOL! I do love to bake bread so made several different batches. Decided to go with french rolls with this batch. OOH....came out so pretty don't ya think? And how about a basic round loaf with fresh Rosemary and fresh Dill? Looks pretty tasty to me! If you'd like this basic bread recipe then pop over to this link that I blogged about... http://creationsbycindyphotography.blogspot.com/2015/05/fish-dish-and-fresh-bread.html You can add any extras you'd like such as herbs, cheese and etc. I add m...

Wednesday in the Word and a {Surprise for me!}

As I was sorting through some books recently to participate in a book and magazine swap with some friends a piece of paper fell out of one of the books. I began to read it and thought... this is how I truly feel. His grace, mercy and love is what covers me and that is it! I am a Christian When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting, "I'm clean living". I'm whispering "I was lost", Now I'm found and I'm forgiven.  When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not bragging on success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be pe...

A little Creativity plus lots of Talking equals a GREAT time!

Don't you just love that chalk paint color? So sweet! My friend created Rose and I can tell you now that she almost accidentally of course came home with me! LOL! Some of us gals decided to have a girls day and do a little creating. Well, I think we actually talked a lot more than we created but we sure did have a good time. Let me share some of our little creations.....  We have a little Shabby Chic going on here.... And isn't her eye makeup just so pretty? Wednesday in the Word-Tidbits worth reading

I am one of those people that walk around with a pen, a writing tablet, journal or something to make notes on or you can rest assured I have something nearby. Are you like that? Sometimes someone can say something that I want to remember or it is so profound to me at the moment that I just have to write it down. I have notes all in my Bible. Some things is simply what I feel the Lord is saying to me through the reading of His Word while other things I have jotted down may be something someone else said. I love to look back and read my notes at times. I also have this little book that has little one sentence phrases that others has stated that I love to go back and read at times too. CRAZY at how sometimes it seems to be JUST what I needed to read that day. So for today, I'd like to share some of what I call, "Tidbits" . Maybe one of these little tidbits speaks to you.   Web Image ** Don't worry about what you do not understand...Worry about what you do und...

July 4th Tablescape and Winner of Grace Portrait

Can you believe that almost half the year is gone???? July 4th is right around the corner and before we know it Christmas will be here. I decided to do a simple, kid friendly tablescape this year for July 4th. My oldest two grandgirls actually look forward to what "Nana's" next tablescape will be. I love it!   You can't go wrong with white plates as you know. I decided to use paper dessert plates from the Dollar Tree. Patriotic, looks good on the white plate and toss when you're done! I bought quite a few packs as I have had my July 4th tablescape up for some time. Love this little guy...and so does the grandbabies. Simple with a mixture of real, paper and plastic! Love it that you can mix and match. Remember when I used this yard sale candle holder I found for a tea party just recently? Well it worked out perfect for a July 4th centerpiece in my kitchen. Looks like one of the grandbabies might have tried to bite the apple!...
