{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD

Am I the only person that lives by a calendar and a to-do list? I have a calendar on my personal computer, a calendar with a place to list my to-do's at the office, a hard back calendar that I carry with me daily, a calendar on my refrigerator and sticky notes everywhere! Whoever invented sticky notes is one RICH person... I have to have a calendar to keep up with things such as Doctor appointments (which seem to be more than less these days), dentist appointments, hair appointments (which I don't forget) Ha! Meetings and events to attend and well, you know the list. Your lists and appointments may be different than mine but you have them all the same. We live in a fast pace society that if we don't have a calendar and some sticky notes we are in trouble! Or at least I am! I find myself getting up in the middle of the night to make a note about something in fear that I will forget it! Now that may be a problem of another kind huh?  Now here is the deal....As I c...

Tuesday Toots

Well it is time again to share a little Tuesday Toots....I want to share a baby shower with you today. My niece Hannah had a lovely shower and the decorations was the most absolute cutest I have seen in a while for a baby shower.  First meet my niece Hannah...due the end of May and having a little girl. Her name will be Charlotte Paris...I love that name! The cake was so cute...I thought at first the little shoes on the top was actually edible but they weren't. However, had a place on the bottom of the shoes to record the baby's date of birth, name and weight. Just adorable... The decor was really a "thrifty" thing to do. They served two purposes. Decoration and then for the baby to keep! How simple...baby blanket, diapers, ribbon and tulle!  The little diaper cakes was so cute! Material, diapers, ribbon, shredded paper and flower! This was so adorable too! Diapers wrapped up with material & ribbon and topped with flowers. Two cute little...

Chicken & Taters!

JOINING YVONNE AT STONE GABLE FOR "ON THE MENU MONDAY"...OVER @ http://stonegable.blogspot.com/2012/03/weekly-menu_25.html  I have a recipe to share with you today! I hope you enjoy it!  I can tell you now that while it is cooking, you will drool over the smell!  Chicken and Potato Roast Whole Chicken-get all the giblets out and wash good! Lift the skin up with a knife and dab butter under the skin the best you can. This helps to keep it moist. Next, drag out the spices. I love spices!!!!! Take EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and coat the chicken. Next sprinkle your spices. I used Lemon pepper, Natures Seasoning ( I use for everything) , Pampered Chef Crush Peppercorn and Garlic Rub (I love) and Lowery's Seasoning Salt (A must have in your kitchen). Then chop your potatoes up. I usually use the small red potatoes but all I had was the yellow. I like cooking potatoes with the peelings on if possible so I wash the potatoes and cut off any bad spots and then I ...
