I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month. Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now! Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said! I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style. The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters. Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo
Oh the sweetness of your oldest granddaughter wanting to learn how to sew!
My oldest granddaughter is 8 years old. Loves to do crafts, create and design. Needless to say we gave her her own little sewing machine with all the trimmings for her 8th birthday which was in April. Her mom, my oldest daughter has said that she wants to sew everything!!!
She wanted to make a bib...she cut it out by herself and began!
You know the problem we have as parents and grandparents is wanting to do it for them. However, I decided that she would do this...mistakes and all! How else will we learn?
Of course she seemed to have WAYYYYY more patience than I ever thought about having~
Her finished product wasn't half bad for an 8 year old.
She was so proud of herself and so was I!
Then she got real brave and decided that she wanted to embellish a tee shirt.
Have I mentioned patience?
I am so proud of her I could just SPIT!
Thank you for tooten with me today on my granddaughter Raygen's accomplishments!

She did a fantastic job on those projects! And at only eight years old, that is just wonderful. I am certain having you for a NaNa has been a huge inspiration and influence on her because you are so creative. Hopefully she will never lose her interest. Who knows.... Maybe you have a budding clothing designer or interior decorator there!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, she is on her way!!! You are so right about letting them learn. I wish I had a dedicated place for sewing like I used to. My girls are really wanting to do it, and I need to let them. Wonderful post Cindy:-)
ReplyDeleteOh, you so have a right to be proud. She did great....but I think she has a super duper mentor!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that child has real talent. Both projects are just adorable. I can see why you are so proud. She is adorable.

ReplyDeleteShe did a great job! So sweet and what wonderful memories you both are making together :)
ReplyDeleteSPIT AWAY, GRANDMA, BECAUSE YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER IS AWESOME! She has done an AMAZING job on the bib and t-shirt! My granddaughters (7 & 9) want to learn to sew also. I think I should get them their own sewing machine. Its so wonderful that your granddaughter has just taking it up so easy. And as I tell my grandgirls "patience is a virtue!" And every now and then they remind me of that...
ReplyDeleteWonderful blessings to you!
Brenda
