{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD

Satan's lies and God's Truth:

 Image Credit

We know that Jesus came to give us life and to give it to us abundantly but so many women are living a life of defeat. Whether it be stressed out, lonely, fearful or just plain unloved! I think a lot of times the root of our problem is believing the lies of Satan.

Satan says: You need to fill your calendar and your every waking moment with stuff.....and he will go as far as to help you fill it even with good stuff. So much so that you become stressed to the hilt and can't function! Or you feel that your role as a wife, mom, friend, employee or etc. has just about got the best of you (Stress)

Satan says:  Everyone is too busy for you. Your husband works every extra hour he can get just to make ends meet. Your children are so busy with their friends that you are no longer important and your so called church friends really don't want you in their click. (Lonely)

Satan says: You are not good enough. You are not thin enough. You are not pretty enough. You can't talk to people. You say the wrong things. Your words are not elegant enough. (Fearful)

Satan says: No one likes you. You have no friends. You are nothing compared to others. People talk about you behind your back. Your own family doesn't love you. No one would help you even if you needed it. (Unloved)

That is a lie....straight from Satan. The Bible says in John 8:44 that Satan is a murderer and the Father of all lies.

The devil is described, more than anything else, as a liar. He has no power to defeat God, but he is skilled at lying, and convincing people to listen to his lies.

Satan is the enemy of God. He wants to destroy everything God has created including us!

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

God says:  Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

God says: I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
    therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:24

God says: For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.     2 Timothy 1:7

 God says: The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. Jeremiah 33:3

May we stand together and ask our Lord to bind Satan from our minds and to render him harmless and ineffective against us. Satan lovesto lie to us! God tells us the truth.

And...Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free . John 8:32

  3. How very true that Satan can tempt us to overfill our days - even with good things - to deplete us and rob our time at the feet of our Savior. And that always start a downward spiral of stress, weariness, and short-temperedness that affects our relationship with those we love. Jesus came to set the captives free. When we trust His provision and guidance, the fruit we bear for Him makes an eternal impact. Blessings!

  4. Satan likes nothing any better than to make us as Christians buy into his deception. Thanks for this post.

  5. I have heard many of those terrible words from Satan. I have even spoke it out loud, "Satan, you are a liar! I bind you in the Name of Jesus!!" It's easy to fall into the trap, but we have to remember that we are ABOVE it!! I love you, Cindy and I thank you so much for your teachings.
    Make a joyful noise!!

  6. Oh, Ms. Cindy, this touched my heart on so many levels. First, TRUTH is my word for 2012...and so many of the things you listed, well Satan has convinced me that they are true...but I know in my heart differently. For me, old habits die hard. Thank you for opening my eyes and heart today to the things I know are straight from Satan!!! Love you bunches!!!

  8. Fortunately, for the most part, I don't allow those negative thoughts enter my mind very often. Where I still have my problem is not letting go and just completely trusting in the Lord. Matthew 11:28 is something I need to print off and keep close to me! Thank you for another great post.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th
