Happy May! I wanted to pop in and share a few pictures from my month of April which seemed to fly by quickly. As I am trying to catch up with my blogging friends today I realized it had been a month since I last posted. My mercy! But, I am so busy doing this thing we call life here on earth and enjoying every moment that I can. With my immediate family of 14 there is never a dull moment y'all! We had three family birthdays in April. My SIL David, granddaughter Adalynn and oldest granddaughter Raygen. Our favorite grandson Conner (only grandson) carried his girl to the prom. We had to snap at least one picture with Mom and Nana! Two of my elementary school friends and I get together at least once every 4-5 weeks so we went to breakfast and then to Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. We always have so much fun. The gardens are so beautiful that I couldn't even attempt to snap all the pictures I wanted. There are so many beautiful paintings to look at this but this was one of
Hope is a wonderful thing....One little nibble will keep a man fishing all day.
Have you noticed that when we know there is hope no matter what our situation is that we can go just a little bit farther? That we can keep on just tossing that pole out in the water hoping for another bite?
I've noticed with family and friends and for myself that when there seems to be just a little ray of hope with the situation at hand that we tend to push harder, pray harder, and love harder.
The mama that is in need of clothing for her children finds out there is a church clothing ministry right around the block and her prayers has been answered with Hope and Love. Her 4 children are given enough clothes, shoes, underclothing and more to start school.
The man that has lost his job and searching for something, anything, to feed his children: Prays and Hopes and through the love of another finds a job within 20 miles of his home. Not much money but enough to keep his bills paid and food on the table. And he praises God! And he Hopes that God will open more doors.
The teenager that has secretly decided to have an abortion: She feels HOPELESS. She feels NO ONE LOVES her. She feels she can't even Pray! She rides by a small building in her community called First Coast Women's Services. An Alternative to abortion. She pulls in the parking lot...debating on whether to go in. She HOPES! She goes in building and when she leaves she has HOPE! HOPE that God will carry through this time of her life. She keeps her baby. She found her HOPE through Christ and loves being a Mommy.
The older lady that found out she has breast cancer but feels there is no hope for her because of her age. She prays and seeks God for answers to her treatment. She places her hope in God and God alone. She chooses the route she will take and places her trust totally in God for the ride of her journey. She is 90 years old now! Her Hope was in Christ and He has carried her through.
Oh when we have Hope...just a ray of hope...no matter what our circumstances are....we can keep on fishing!
