I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts. We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield. We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord. I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it. Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...
Dr. Edsel Bone shared in one of his sermons a story about a man that was doing some shopping in the grocery store and his small son was closely following him. The boy was carrying a large basket and the father was loading it with one item after another. He put in canned goods, sugar, flour, meat, and a variety of vegetables. A customer who was watching began to feel sorry for youngster, thinking his load was becoming to heavy for him. Walking up behind him she said quietly, "That's a big load for such a little chap like you to carry, isn't it? The boy turned to her as if surprised by her question. Then he smiles and said, "Oh, don't worry. my dad knows how much I can carry!"
Contrary to what many of God's people think, our heavenly Father also knows our load limit and understands precisely how much each of us can endure. For every added load that seems to take us to our limit, our Heavenly Father has considered it's weight and has also offered Himself as our strength while under the load. Isn't it good to know that our Lord is alert to our individual needs and limits?

I don't about you but every now and then I have to remind myself that our Lord knows exactly what can we carry!

Wonderful message, Cina and a good reminder...Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reminder, my Friend. He knows, indeed. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYes it is Miss Cindy! In a very real way, Gods trust is what our burdens are all about. Although I must admit when the struggle is going on and the load is heavy I wish God didn't trust me so much. Then I am quickly reminded by him in 1 Corinthians that he will not allow me to be tested beyond what I can bear. He will provide a way for me to stand up under it all! With his unlimited power as my strength he believes I will not let him down. And he knows I will emerge stronger and more valuable than I have ever been. I know that there is something much bigger going on, something much more eternal....perhaps a contest over me between the devil and God himself. So I will carry my daily load faithfully and pledge my allegiance to God as I do it. Johnna D.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great analogy of Jesus knowing how much we can carry. I really enjoyed this today Cindy. Thanks

We've been promised that He won't give us more than we can bear! What a beautiful illustration of the father and the little boy. It's a great reminder - He knows how much I can carry! I needed this today, my friend.

ReplyDeleteOh, Cindy, I love visiting you. This post was just what I needed. I do get so wrapped up in "things" and wonder how will I ever finish? But then I have to slow down and realize that indeed, God is in control.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

I loved this message Cindy. A wonderful reminder that I think we all need. God Bless. BTW, finished the book and it was great. An easy read and only 156 pages.
ReplyDeleteWell I cannot figure out this google sign in but wanted to say that there has been days that I have actually said out loud to the Lord, "Please help me carry this load" because I cannot do it by myself. Then He reminds me that I am not doing it by myself, that He is making every step that I make too. Thanks for sharing this. I am saving this so I can read it again and again. Linda C
