{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

Wednesday in the Word-Dependence

I know that some of you have read this before but thought it worth reading again today.

Dear Lord, I haven't done anything wrong today. I have not made any mistakes, spoken any wrong words, or had any bad thoughts. I have done everything right so far. But Lord, I haven't gotten out of bed yet so I am really depending on You.

Haven't we all felt that same way at times? Can I tell you something? That is exactly where Christ wants us to be....DEPENDENT on HIM! Not just for a medical need or a financial need but for everything in our life.

It seems that we have a tendency to NOT see our need for Christ when things are going well for us. But the minute we find ourselves in a crisis of some kind then we reach out to Him and we reach out in desperation.

"At times my failure to see my need for Christ every day upon every hour has caused me hardship and heartache".

If you feel that you are in a place in your life right now that you KNOW that you cannot take another step without the Lord's help then also know that He has you right where He wants you right now. WHY? So you can depend on HIM!

 During the times of my life that I've had a desperate need for Christ I have spent my sweetest most intimate moments with Him. SOUNDS crazy I know. But it is during those times that I have truly DRAWN NEAR TO HIM!

Why does it seem to be that way for us?

The sweetest thing is that He is always there for us! He wants to accomplish great things through us and through our situation and He only does that through a life of faith on our part. He wants our individual attention because we cannot do things on our own! No matter what it is!

Don't think for a minute that God has forsaken you during your greatest time of need. Matter of fact He is leading you every step of the way!

Isaiah 30:21 says: Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, this is the way, walk in it".

May we learn daily to depend on God...we need Him every hour, every minute and every second of the day.

  3. I am wanting MORE of GOD in my life. I am turning to Him for everything! I long for Him to consume every fiber of my being. It is my desire that when my co-workers or family look at me they see Him. So, yes, I think I am right where He wants me and I pray always for the wisdom to remain there. Thanks Cindy for this wonderful word of encouragment!

  4. Perfect message! I always feel I am in the perfect time, place and people that surround me and of course, I have my sweet Jesus to thank. My problem is I always find myself praying for my DD, although she's just fine and happy even. I guess wants her where she is too and I don't need to question HIM!
    Thanks for sharing. I needed this!
    Hugs,

  5. That verse is one of my favorite verses in the entire Word. Considering how much I love every breath of it, that is saying something. I also love the song from your graphic.

    Excellent post, and you are spot on in every word.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{March Is Underway}

  Welcome to March! The little grands and I kicked off March with a sleepover at Nana's house. They are so much fun and so energetic. COFFEE has earned my love forever for sure! LOL!  We started out with a sack lunch from Burger King (their favorite) and headed to a cute little park that is only about 2 miles from where I live. The girls has so much fun. The girls put in for Nana to ride the horsey. Well, y'all know I had to show those littles that Nana still can do that!!! Two of the girls wanted to play with the old Halloween wigs but the youngest one opted out. She said it made her head itch. LOL!  We had a tea party for breakfast. Our tea party consisted of smoked sausage, peaches and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy to my tummy the youngest one said! I finally got around to making myself a healthy fruity Icee. I made the girls snow cones out of the same healthy fruits. Guess I needed too so they wouldn't be so hyped up from all the cookies when returning home. Hee-hee!...

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th...
