I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month. Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now! Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said! I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style. The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters. Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo
So, I decided to breeze out and about for a few hours over the weekend and take a BREAK from my "ROOM" makeover and do a little shopping. I haven't been to Big Lot's in a long while so decided make a quick stop and see if ANYTHING jumped off the shelf at me!
Big Lot's is one of those stores than I may go in and not find anything appetizing to the eye and the next time I go, I see all sorts of things I want. I spotted this tray and loved it!
Isn't this cutest? It's going in my kitchen.
Then I saw this......I loved it too!
Look at these cute little salt and pepper shakers that begged me to buy them! Guess what tablescape theme I am doing next?????
So, since I just happened to be across the road from a Goodwill store I just had to stop by to see if someones trash would become my treasure. AND IT DID!
I don't think I've ever seen any snack plates like this. They only had a set for two but I grabbed them. I think they will be perfect for a breakfast casserole one Saturday morning while sitting on the front porch, don't you?
This honey jar was the cutest little thing.
As soon as I saw this I had someone in mind to give it too that does Bee Keeping. So this will be a little gift for this couple. And....I have to get this to them QUICK because I am so tempted to keep it! LOL!
Just so you know my furniture for my room is completed. YAY! Of course there's still lots of work to do. Curtains, a couple of throw rugs, CLOSET cleaned out, (I dread this) pretties put up and well...it's still a work in progress. Praise the Lord though the room has been painted, new baseboards down, new flooring and new furniture. My man only had to REPENT three times while putting the furniture together.........................

I did put a good smelling candle on the book shelf just so I would had something on it.
So much left to do.
Now last but not least....the most important pictures of the post is my youngest grandbaby. She turned one on April 9th and needless to say....our family is certainly smitten by her.
She loves looking at herself....
Don't you just wanna kiss those cute cheeks?
She has 8 teeth now and loves to show them.
YEP...she liked playing in the cake better than she liked eating it.
This is one of most favorite pictures. I just adore it.
But I must say....I absolutely love this one too!
Just be glad that I didn't post all 133 pictures I made. LOL!
I do hope that you all have a good week. Just remember...You will find when you smile your day will be brighter, and all of your burdens will seem a little lighter.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Well Cindy you did find some treasures but your grand daughter is definitely stealing the show. :)
ReplyDeleteLol. She usually does steel the show and I wouldn't have it any other way . Thank you my friend for coming by .
DeleteOh, if I could get my hands on that sweetie I would not only kiss those sweet cheeks, I think I might kiss those sweet toes too!! I love the pictures on her and the mirrors, they are awesome. We have a new great grand-daughter coming in August. I can hardly wait!!
ReplyDeleteMiss Mary, you have made my day ! She is so precious for sure and believe me , I've kissed those little toes . Can't wait to hear about your new great grand soon . There's nothing like those babies .
DeleteNot only do I like your haul at these thrift stores, I like your ideas! It's sweet that you make gifts out of them because people feel so loved when they receive the "treasure!" That yellow color is cheerful. There would have to be something wrong with us if we liked to clean closets, right? But I like how organized drawers and closets make me feel. Oh, that little dolly, and those cute little teeth she has. You did an excellent job photographing her first birthday. Bet the parents loved it!!! You're a real "Pick-me-up" kind of girlfriend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteMary, thank you for coming by to see me . You always seem to encourage me even though you dont realize it . You are so sweet .
DeleteOh Cindy, your grandbaby is a diva, she is beautiful and she is going to break a lot of hearts. Love all the pictures, but the pearls and high heals is my favorite. Give her a BIG kiss for me.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week - love all your treasures you found.
Mary
Thank you Mary . I hope you are felling well these days .
DeleteThank you for the "happiness" I find here Cindy. It warms my heart. I hope someday to have beautiful grands to take pictures of! :) Love your bargins and your room!
ReplyDeleteThank you Monica .
DeleteCindy= That little sweetie is just beautiful. She is just darling!!!! Loved all the pictures here today. You found some treasures, too, I see. I used to have a honey pot like that but mine had one of those little grooved things in it to serve the honey from the jar. Bet you keep it! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a good night- xo Diana
Thanks Diana . I'm laughing about your remark that you bet I keep it ! I'm struggling. lol .
DeleteI love all of the treasures you found. That tray is soooo cute! And, your Granddaughter is just precious!
ReplyDeleteThanks lea .
DeleteLook at all your delightful treasures!! I've only been in a BIG Lots once and that was years ago, didn't find a thing. We're so deprived up here in the mountains, well, deprived of shopping anyway.
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing photographer, dear lady! I love the one with the mirror, awesome.
Such a sweet birthday girl.
You have done a fabulous job on your room, gorgeous!
Blessings ♡
Thanks Debbie . My room is slowly coming together . I too love the picture with mirror . Thanks so much for stopping by .

ReplyDeleteThanks Heather . I only went to one thrift store that day so I done good . Lol! Yep our baby is already one and I can't hardly believe it .
DeleteSo excited to see your room when it's finished. I love to roam around stores like that too. I lived near a wonderful second hand store in Florida. I'll miss it. Your one year old sweetie is adorable! Show all the pictures you want! Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Melanie . It's so hard not to show lots of pics of the grands isn't it ?
DeleteOoh Cindy, I Amy have to go to Big Lots because I want that tray! What great finds you found there and it the thrift store. Your room is coming along so nicely, and the touch of the candle made me smile. Your one year old grandbaby is such a doll baby and I sooooo love the pictures you took of her!! My oh my, what fun!!
ReplyDeleteKitty I found that tray on clearance for $4.60 . I was so excited! Yep had to put something on the bookcase while I work in that dang closet ! At least I fit something that smelled good 😊
DeleteOh... I'm taking notes on your pictures taking skills! Love the "shoe" picture!
ReplyDeleteYou also have a knack for finding treasures!
Christine I too afore the picture with the shoes .
DeleteOh, Cindy! Your shopping treasures, craft room and that cute little granddaughter all gorgeousI. I love, love, love that furniture and look at all of that storage! What fun you will have in that creative space! Those little snack trays are so cute. They would make any breakfast feel extra special! And your youngest GD is precious!! I don't have any grand kids yet but, ooo, when I do... 😍😍😍. Have a wonderful week! I'm in for another busy one. Maybe I'll get to post something next week. Zenda
ReplyDeleteThanks Zenda. I keep saying...I have plenty of storage. Truth is I have a closet packed to the brim in that room and trying to clean it and toss things away! Oh this pack rat is having a hard time with it. But yes, I am glad for the chest of drawers especially as it does give me extra storage space as well. Now my goal as I work in this room is to decide what I use it the most for! YIKES
DeleteWhat a darling little girl!! I love that honey pot, so cute! And I have a hardware tote like the box in the second photo. I've been wondering what to do with it, and now this has inspired me to stencil it! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAwe thanks so much . You must show us your stencil work when you do it .
DeleteYou know something, Lady? I love you! When I got to the very end of this post and read about the 130 pictures I laughed out loud...truly!
ReplyDeleteI love that kitchen garden caddy...ideal place to do a little herb garden right in the kitchen! And those snack sets are adorable!
And then I came to the furniture for your room...and how beautifully it all goes with that floor...be still my heart!
Your little granddaughter is so so cute and all of the pictures are really good...but my very favorite is the one of her carrying the pearls, and the high heels sitting on the floor. Look at her on those precious tippy toes! LOVE IT!
Hope your weekend is a happy one filled with family and sweet times with your hubby!
Awe, thanks so much my friend. I think I actually winded up with 133 pictures in all of that sweet little thing. LOL!
DeleteI do love that furniture Cindy. Cute buys too. Really cute salt and pepper shakers. You can never show enough pictures of the grandchildren. My favorite is the one with the heals but oh is her smile so adorable in that first picture.
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
Thanks Connie. She does have a pretty smile and those teeth just shine.
DeleteSuch adorable baby pics! I know you just eat her up.....and your buys, wow you did great. I am doing my best to stay out of thrift stores and Goodwill. I was buying up way to much stuff to recycle into cool crafts but I was not getting the cool craft made. I had to cut it off! Have a great day Cindy.
ReplyDeleteI take my thrifting by spells. Sometimes I go several months and not go. Sometimes I'll just run in one place if I am in the area. It's been a long time though since I made a day for thrifting. Thanks for stopping by Pam. Good job girl on the weight loss! I know you are proud.
DeleteFirst of all, I'm so sorry I'm so late to visit... I'm getting really slow in my old age! I 💜 how your room is looking... Can't wait to see how you decorate it! You did great at Goodwill.... but that sweet baby is the best pics of all.... She's beautiful! Happy Wednesday, sweet Friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you friend . I know all too well what you mean by old age ! Dang it takes me all day now to do what it used to take me a few hours to do .
DeleteOh Cindy, are you ever a girl after my own heart! I frequent our Goodwill stores every week an I do like Big Lots but totally agree it is hit or miss. Your new room is beautiful...love the desk and other furniture...and the floors! And there just aren't words to describe how darling that little one is! You are definitely a very creative photographer...DARLING PHOTOS! Hugs to you, sweet friend!♥
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend . We are soul sisters I do believe .❤️
DeleteOooh! I enjoyed seeing those adorable pictures of your baby girl! Love those pearls and being on her tippy toes beside the high heels! How creative! I've also enjoyed keeping up with your new room, can't wait to see it finished, love the floors and furniture and the way they match!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the sweet compliments on our wedding anniversary and 20-year old wedding pictures!
We're going to Jacksonville tomorrow, I feel a little closer to you when we are there! ;-)
Katherine
Thanks Katherine . Hope you had a great anniversary and by the looks of the pictures you did .
DeleteHi, dear friend - We've been traveling for almost a month and I've not always had reliable internet connections so I could check in with you. I love the things you found on your shopping trip. I think I should stop by Big Lots soon and see what I can find! Your grandbaby is a doll! Love the photos of her, especially with the cake. It reminds me of a photo of our daughter on her first birthday with cake and frosting all over her.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Awe, glad you stopped by today. Hope you are having fun my friend. I know you are though.
DeleteAww Cindy you just made my day with the grand girl's birthday photos. I could have sat here and looked at all 133 of them , she is so adorable. I also really liked your honey pot. I've been in a Winnie the Pooh kind or mood lately! Haha! The craft room furniture looks great. Now for the fun part, decorating the room. Have a blessed weekend Cindy!
ReplyDeleteAwe thank you sweet lady . That baby is a doll baby for sure . Hope you have a great week .
DeleteYour room is coming right along! Last time I visited, it was nowhere near this near finished. (Repent of what? LOL!) You certainly found some cute things while shopping at Big Lots. I like finding some foodstuffs there, sometimes a carpet, but usually nothing as good as what you found. Darling little grandgirlie. You did a fabulous job with those photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Vee for coming to visit . You skesus make my day .
DeleteHi Cindy, oh how I loved this post. You always find the best treasures. I wish I could go thrifting with you!! Your room is incredible.
