Oh my 2024 has almost gone! I would normally say "where has the time gone too" but this year some of my days have been long, other days, sweet and full of hope. All days I've surely felt the touch of the Master's Hand upon me. I am sorry that I have not been able to keep up with blogging but it just hasn't been in the plan. I am happy to say that I was able to RING THE BELL two days before Thanksgiving and what a blessing that was for me and my family. Oh the emotions was surely on a all time high that sweet day. I rang that bell loud and proud. I was so blessed to have so many of my family with me on that special occasion. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful strong support group with my family, friends and church family. My oldest granddaughter Raygen was given permission to come and play the piano after I rang the bell. She sang one of my favorite songs, "It is well with my soul". It was amazing at the patients, doctors and nurses that s...
So, I saw this cute little pumpkin chalkboard at the Dollar Tree a few weeks ago and grabbed it. My hope was that it would put me in the FALLISH mood to start a little decorating for Fall. WELL IT DIDN'T! It's too stinking HOT for me to even begin to think about Fall.
Then I noticed recently that my AC was not working properly. When I had to drag out the fan and threaten to join a nudist colony I knew something was fixing to happen and QUICK! Now I will admit that I can HOT FLASH with the best of you but this had nothing to do with my hot flashes. Needless to say my AC unit was in need of some freon and I did take care of that quickly.
Nope, I am still not in the FALL mood but I decided to use my pumpkin chalkboard.
THANK YOU JESUS FOR ALL GOOD THINGS!
I mean this is what happens around my house on Sunday afternoons after dinner and nobody can be sleeping HOT!
I was going through old picture files and came across this one from last hunting season.
Dang did that ever give me "hunting fever". Yep, as most of you know I am a "huntress". Love going with my man and sitting in a tree stand in the woods. Just something about being out there alone with God and His beautiful creation. And yep, I have my makeup and earrings on! Shoot, I might get me a big old buck and need to have my picture snapped....
Bow Season is fixing to begin in a few weeks and I have already been practicing. Bought myself a new toy too.
Now if it starts getting dark then I am ready to go.....I have a huge imagination! LOL!
I am working on a little Bible Study. This particular study is an old one but I've never done it and I do love the Psalms. I read somewhere that the book of Psalms was the most read book in the bible.
So, what have you all been up too lately? Anything fun and exciting?
I hope that you all have a great day and remember, that even on a HOT day there is something to be thankful for!
Like these brownies with dollops of salted caramel.
And then I will be mad the next time I go to the Dr.
I couldn't resist this!
I have seriously got to get back in my Bible Study. Hee-hee.
Hoping you all have a great week.
And the last time I went to the Dr. I told the nurse that I did not come to be weighed and was not paying for it. (LOL)

Hugs and blessings, Cindy
So glad you got that AC fixed! I would die!!
ReplyDeleteMe too girl. It was fixing to be bad around my place! LOL!
DeleteI need a brownie! YUM! Girl, you crack me up some times. So glad your ac is fixed. I am like you, cannot get in the fall mood. But then, Fall isn't here yet.
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
Connie, I am so ready for cooler weather regardless of what season it is. But in Florida we get what we can get, right?
DeleteI love that cute sign!! It's hot here too and I'm looking forward to fall but not thinking about decorating for it yet. A/C is a necessity on those stinkin' hot days!! Those brownies look amazing! I love that photos of you in your camo. I remember it from last year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather. I just don't think I have could have been a pioneer woman! My man should have been born WAY BACK when but not me! LOL!
DeleteYou are a stitch and I have had a smile through this whole post! Love your pumpkin! I would not want to be down south without air now! It was 86 here today and I am in the Northeast! Love you in camo too, you huntress you. Yum on those brownies! I made chocolate cherry haystacks today. Haven't tried any yet as they are still setting. That scale sign is hilarious. When I go to the doctor and get weighed I make them mark down 2 pounds less. That is what my clothes weigh (in the winter) and I know because I weigh them before I go!
ReplyDelete😂 got l I'm going to start weighing my clothes too . That cracked me up . Let us know how your haystacks turn out . Sounds yummy .
DeleteTyping on phone again as you can see 😂
DeleteOh, my, those brownies look amazing!!! So glad you got your A/C fixed! Whew, it would be horrible without it where we live!! God bless you, sweet friend. :)
ReplyDeleteCheryl I did indeed have one of those brownies and they are good . Praise the Lord for ac.
DeleteOh you are a hoot Cindy. Love your fantastic attitude and humor. The pumpkin chalk board is so cute and yes, we sure are thankful for the AC here again this week. Gee it's so hot, if my stove goes out, I can cook right out on the driveway.
ReplyDeleteLove your camo photo. Beautiful lady!!
Now those brownies are inspiring for sure.
Have a great week and stay cool!!! Bless you my friend. xoxo
I know what you mean about being able too cook in the driveway ! That would not be a problem here either .
DeleteOh, dear, I married a big time hunger 46 years ago and have never been hunting with him. It is just NOT my thing. I can't imagine being quite that long. You are so right about weight! Why is that always necessary? Happy rest of the week!
ReplyDeletelol Leah . We dog hunted for years and I was so used to the fast pace . Never dreamed I'd like sitting in a tree stand . Love it .
DeleteAmen about the air conditioning! We have to have it! I agree about that statue coming down or at least giving me fake news! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Sheila, it's so good to have back to blogging some . I've sure missed you . 😊
DeleteIt is hard to get in the mood for fall when it's so hot. Love the pics of the family, too. That scale is too funny. Enjoy your Psalms Bible Study! And thank you for the sweet card in the mail. I am touched with your compassion. Love you.
ReplyDeleteAwe, Mary, I have been praying for you and I know your surgery is scheduled for Aug. 25. Hoping to hear from you when you begin your road to recovery. Prayers are abounding.
DeleteI am glad you got the air conditioner fixed, Cindy. The weather can get very hot and humid, which can be dangerous for many. Your photos are beautiful, and the brownies look scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. Those brownies was so good! I like chocolate and dang it gives me the hot burn. Guess that might be to keep me from pigging out.
DeleteCindy, you are so much fun! You are always a breath of fresh air. Hugs and blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. Hope you are having a great day. Loving your tablescapes. The sunflowers really made me smile!
DeleteHi, Cindy!! I've been MIA but have been busy and enjoying our summer. We went to see our son in Montana and visited Glacier National Park. What an awesome experience! I'm working on a couple of posts. I'm glad you got your AC fixed. It's funny how we take these things for granted until they are gone! J wants to go back to see Andy in about a month to go elk hunting. (That's all they chat about!). You can bet I'll be going, too, but not hunting. I'll stay at his house and do some reading and work on a project or two for some of the groups I'm in. These are filling my time lately but I love volunteering! Our group's Bible study begins in about a month and I'm really looking forward to sharing the Word with our friend! Have a wonderful week!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun trip coming up for you and your man. I have a friend that doesn't hunt but she will go with her husband sometimes and stay in an read or go shopping. She has been known to carry her sewing machine with her. What Bible study are you doing? Nothing like sharing the Word with friends. Have a good day.
Delete{{{giggling over the statue, AMEN SISTA!!!}}---and still giggling over the makeup comment, another AMEN SISTA. Hope you have a beautiful day friend, way to hot in FL. to have the ac go kaput, smiling...
ReplyDeleteLinda, I am so thankful that it was ONLY freon that was needed! My ac unit is old but actually was one of the best made ones in the day. AC guy told me that the new ones do not hold up nearly to what the older units do these days. YES, it's too hot to not have AC and I can remember growing up and at times we didn't have any. I just don't think it was as hot back then! LOL!
DeleteYea for getting your A/C getting fixed, Cindy! I'm with you and can't even begin to think about Fall as of yet. However, I will be looking for the cute Fall chalkboard at my Dollar Tree.
ReplyDeleteYou are just too cute in your camo with your lipstick and makeup on!
Thanks for the smiles this morning. Love to you, my friend!
kitty, they just have the cutest things at the Dollar Tree. I have to purposely stay out of there at times. LOL! Girl, you know I'm gonna have my lipstick on! Have a good day dear Kitty.
DeleteI love the little signs at Dollar Tree, they are one of the best values I have, you would never guess they are only $1! Here in central Florida, I am the same with you, I am VERY thankful for air conditioning! My sister keeps telling me I will never adjust to the Florida heat if I don't spend sometime outside!
ReplyDeleteLOL Chloe on staying inside. Girl, you better off to stay inside right now. Glad you stopped by.
ReplyDeleteOh my dear Cindy...YOU CRACK ME UP! I am glad that you got your AC working. After the rain comes through here today, we are getting wonderful break in our weather...it is only going to be in the 70-80's here for the next week or so...PRAISE THE LORD! I absolute loved the pic of you with you cammo hat on with the make-up and earrings...oh how precious! Take good care and after this week, I may just be tempted to get out my fall décor...but probably not! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh my Debby. I would love to have some 70-80 degree weather. Dang, I might seriously think about dragging out a pumpkin or two!
DeleteHow sweet your find is. Love the dollar tree. I am still laughing about that scale. I sometimes tell the nurse, I do not want to be weighed. Very cute photo of you sweet lady.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda . Yep I hate those dang scales .
DeleteCindy I know all about those brownies. My daughter has learned how to make the yummiest cinnamon rolls. I had not tasted any decent ones for 20 years, we used to go to Macy's of all places to get some. And now that she is making them and very well, I can't stop eating them. I had to laugh when I saw the statue that is your enemy. Stay well my friend.
ReplyDeleteYum I wish I had one of her brownies now . No wonder I want those scales taken down 😂
DeleteThat statue offends me too! Take it DOWN! LOL You'd sure like it here this morning. There's a COLD breeze blowing through the house. I have on a heavy long-sleeved shirt and think I'll go put on my jacket as well. It's sunny and 57 degrees at 10:38 AM. Couldn't we compromise somehow???! :-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I would love to have some 57 degree weather.
DeleteOur girl's blood pressure shoots up when she has to go to the doctor....and she's determined it's being weighed, so they don't weigh her now! 😉 And speaking of weight.... those brownies look awesome! 💜
ReplyDeleteThose brownies was delicious! LOL!
DeleteMy ex always tried to get me to go hunting, I am not that type of girl!! But, I love it that some like you and my niece are! My 30 yr old niece has been hunting for yrs and her hubby taught her how to field dress while they were at it. I think that rocks! As for fall...I have talked to so many that are so ready for fall yet it has not been a bad summer. I have been ready for weeks. I love your pumpkin! That is too cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam . Glad you stopped by to see me .
DeleteYou are a woman of many colours Cindy! I know you like to hunt, but seeing you in the woods there with the makeup and jewels and camo ... wow! I'm afraid the only thing I could ever shoot are photos, but I love the woods just as much as you do :)
ReplyDeleteGlad your a/c got back into shape. Our fall weather is creeping in at nighttime and it's taking longer in the morning to warm up again. Oh no!! There are a few leaves changing too (some in my own yard). I'm not ready for fall yet, and never am until the kids go back to school.
Enjoy your weekend!
Wendy
Wendy there is nothing better than when the ac works right . 😂 I was raised up in the hunting world and married into the hunting world . We enjoy it so much . Glad you stopped by today .
DeleteHi Cindy, I know what you mean when you say hot. We will be at 110 next week as a heat wave is coming in this weekend. We had our AC serviced last year but we only go as low as 76. I usually start decorating for fall after Labor Day. I did pick up a few cute things at Hobby Lobby to add to my already big stash! I have never even shot a gun, but it is on my bucket list. Don't think I could kill an animal other than crickets! Have you shot a deer? How do you cook it? Just curious. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteHey Susan , sounds you you are adding to your fall stash . I'm thinking about dragging out some fall maybe about next weekend . Susan you can go in line to see all kinds of ways to cook venison . I cook a lot of it . Use in spaghetti , soups, hamburgers, fried and grilled . We love it . Have a good day .
DeleteOh boy did I enjoy this post dear friend! You are so funny and actually right about what you say, lol..
ReplyDeleteYes, that pumpkin chalk board is adorable, I too would have grabbed it! I hope your weather lightens up and you will see it with enthusiasm. For the time been your family is napping in a fresh atmosphere too.
Love that cake and love venison, which I don't make it either, my mom does. I will learn though.
Have a great week ahead.
Fabby
So glad you stopped by Fabby. I have been enjoying your tables!
DeleteI love your little fall pumpkin chalkboard frame! It is darling, and I too am thankful for air conditioning! What did people ever do without it, I do not know. Hope you got your AC fixed! Fall is definitely in the air here! We almost had a frost a few nights ago, down to 35... my garden is still moving right along, and I'm staying busy with all it is producing. Just finished putting up some green beans. Hope you get to experience some fall weather soon! Hugs :)
ReplyDelete35 and frost ! Yippee! Looking forward to some cooler weather my way . Enjoy the moment friend .
DeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that chalkboard and oddly, enough I have plans to stop in Dollar Tree when I leave work ths morning so you know what I will be looking for!! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!!
