{March is well under way}

February days are now gone and March has officially kicked in.   I finally purchased a new monthly focus board.  We ventured out for a day date which included a movie. I love our day dates. I will give my honest review about the movie for those interested. I wanted to see this movie as it was based on a true story. I did enjoy the movie but oh my, it was a tear jerker from the get go! It ended good but mercy! Let's just say that I am thankful that no one was sitting close enough to see my tear stained face. I am glad that I saw it but I am good for a while on sad movies, even if they do end good!   My oldest daughter, her husband and their son participated in the Spartan race which is a series of obstacle courses that challenge. They done so well. As you can see from the pictures it gets pretty muddy!  My three daughters participate each year in the Gate River Run. I love it that they do this together. They have so much support & encouragement from all the onlookers. I am just

{It's All In A Day's Work---Or Just Goofing Off!}

Well isn't this just the cutest tea pot lamp you've ever seen? And I paid a whopping $1.99 for her! She just needs a new shade and a little buffing up. It will be perfect for decor when I do tea parties for my grandgirls.

YEP, WENT THRIFTING AGAIN!

I decided to do a little thrifting again but this time I went to town. For those of you that wonder what TOWN is for me, well, it's about 30-35 miles or so to the closest thrift store. I winded up hitting about 4 thrift stores. It was a nice outing. I took my time, stopped when I wanted too and even went by Starbucks and got myself a breakfast sandwich and my favorite...Passion Tea.

So let me just show you what else I scored thrifting. Yep, I take it by spells but I have had TWO spells recently so my man said I need to take a dose of Ibuprofen to get OVER the spell! LOL!

Awe...don't you just love this cute tea pot? On the bottom of the tea pot is says Teleflora  1985. I snatched it up for $2.50. Look what I saw online when looking information it.

I think I got a deal! Hey I ain't knocking anyone trying to sell things by any means as I need to sell over half of what I have in my little She-Shed but $18 compared to $2.50 made me smile!

 My mercy y'all! The last thing I needed was another snack plate! But I only had a few of the white ones as all of mine are the clear. So when I spotted 4 of these for 99 cents each I decided I needed wanted them.

 I love throws and any kind. This summer weight throw was brand new. I got it for $3.00. So many ideas for this cute little throw. A picnic on the ground, (though I will need help getting off the ground) the beach, table topper, and well, it will be used.

I can always use a glass bowl especially when melting chocolates in the microwave. Perfect size for $1.99.

I couldn't pass this up as it was a perfect size. Very nice, well kept and lots of compartments. I have a smaller cloth one is that is black and I really enjoyed it when we went on our mountain trip in late February. This one is bigger and much nicer. I gave it a good cleaning and it's ready to go with me. Spent $3.99 for it.

This was an Estee Lauder keepsake box. There was plastic still wrapped around the zippers so the gal kept the gift inside and ditched this pretty zippered box. Well of course the ideas for this gold and red beauty are endless. Makeup box, storage box, use for decor. Paid $2.99 for it.

Another hat for the beach! Croft and Barrows hat for $1.99. The flower can be taken off  too. Yep, cleaned her up good and she's ready to go.

Spotted this cute twig wreath. I will be replacing the floral pieces and heart. As soon as I saw it my first thought was Woodland. I love the woodland themes and how cute will this be for a woodsy bohemian party? I figure for $2.50 I can use this for different decor.

Okay, so told myself I would not spend more than $25 thrifting and my total amount with tax was $26.65. Yep, went over a tad but boy did I have a fun time!

And I can't end today without showing you what else I made with my abundance of Zucchini.

Anyone care for a slice of Zucchini bread or a muffin? Family got bread, a few friends got some muffins and I have frozen muffins to enjoy later.

I also had some fresh blueberries in the freezer that needed to be cooked so made several batches of blueberry muffins. It all worked out perfectly with the baking as our Sunday school class adopted our local EMS/Firefighter's and wanted to minister to two shifts with a breakfast. So several of us got together and got our goodies to them in time that the shift going off and the new shift coming on could enjoy. We carried them baked breakfast casseroles, bread, muffins, milk, juices and etc. They were so appreciative and we felt blessed.

And since they have a kitchen they got to keep the cute container and dishclothes. When planting seeds of kindness for Jesus your TIME isn't wasted.

 And for the Men in your life that you celebrated for Father's Day...I hope that it was a GOOD ONE. Our girls are blessed to call this man daddy.

I hope that you all have a wonderful week and remember.....
Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    1. Thanks Connie. I would let you borrow the hat girl! Ministering to the community is a great way to reach out to others for sure. Lord, we all need ministering too for sure but it seems that in churches today everyone becomes so comfortable with their own peeps and fail to reach out. I am remind that it is the sick that needs a doctor. (Smiles to you dear lady)

    OMG!!!! I LOVE everything you bought at the Thrift shops!! WOW, so to go shopping it is a good 30-35 minute drive!! I literaly live right next to the largest shopping district in our County!!!But yet, I live in a closed development where there is no through traffic which makes it quiet and private and we have woods on the other side of us and the Interstate (81) behind us.. Now that i am no longer working I plan on making some zucchini bread!! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments!!

  20. You and I have much the same taste! I used to have an almost identical teapot lamp...my BIL gave it to me years ago for my birthday. I don't know what happened to it in our many moves. AND, I had the exact same little teapot for years. I had about 50 of them and had to get rid of some of my collection. The moves were just taking their toll on them! What a great shopping trip you had...love all those treasures! Love and hugs!

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Another Fun Filled Weekend}

I hope you all are doing well. I am trying to wind down for the night and thought I would try and get a post out. Girls, by this time I am in my fat clothes and recliner smashing that remote control!   Marty and I kicked off our weekend by having a little fun food as I call it,  "charcuterie" style out by the pond. Of course I always fix more than we need or eat but it sure was good.  Two of our granddaughters had dance recitals over the weekend so we got to watch them perform and oh my! They were just the cutest things ever.  We were blessed to be able to see them perform. Then we celebrated a birthday for this sweet grandgirl! She was excited about being double digits . And besides all the fun from the weekend I was able to see some of my pretties in bloom.  Now to enjoy a cup of coffee.... I hope that you all have a wonderful, blessed week.  Hugs and blessings, Cindy

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget
