{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

{Far Out, Peace, Groovy Baby}

  Our Conner Family had our annual Halloween/Fall Party and as always it was so much fun. Marty and I decided this year to Be GROOVY . I wasn't sure if I could out do FLO from last year. I honestly had so much fun dressing up from an era of time that I remember all too well. Great songs from the 70's, lots of dancing, love beads and well, PEACE OUT .  Marty is such a good sport and it doesn't take much for him to want to have fun, especially when it involves the family.  It's so much fun dressing up with my girls. They make life so fun and never a dull or boring moment for sure.  One of my granddaughter's decided to be a hippie with Nana. She will be 13 in November and growing up too quickly. My oldest granddaughter was a pirate and I might add a beautiful one at that.  We surely had lots of different characters covered in dress up attire.    We do this fun event at my Fatherinlove's home each year. We have all sorts of goodies to eat. We try to chang...

{The Winner of the Giveaway and Whitetail Deer Hunting with the Family}

  I am getting a late start to sharing with you all this week. But, better late than never huh? Sharing one of my beautiful sunflower blooms with you today. Isn't she just lovely? I always plant sunflowers this time of year and this year it seemed that they had a hard time getting started for various reasons. But now they are coming into bloom and I am sure am enjoying these beauties.    I spent the weekend hunting with these ladies and there is nothing like being in the great outdoors with your girls and grands doing what you enjoy. My oldest daughter doesn't hunt but our whole family enjoys venison and about anyway it's cooked.     We goofed off some too.....but we sure had a great time.       But.....Nana brought home supper! YES!  I see some fried back strap on my plate real soon. To be quite honest, it's not about the harvest for me. It's about spending time with those I love the most, and some of my sweetest times with the Lord is ...

October is here!

Web image Well, I've had several friends already post their October bucket list on FB and I've been thinking.....Why, I haven't even thought about it to be honest. I guess I've been so busy just doing every day life  day by day  that an October bucket list never occurred to me. What is on your October bucket list?   I might not can tell you what I will do the remaining of October but I have dog sat this weekend.  Isn't Bo just the cutest? Marty and I dog sat for our daughter Melissa this weekend while grandgirl played travel ball out of town. We call him our " Old Soul"  dog.   Bo is so laid back. Of course he is 8 or 9 years old and just loves to chill out. My kind of dog. I asked my daughter since I kept her dog for the weekend would she repay the favor and keep her daddy one weekend for me. 🤣 She has yet to answer me!!!!  The oldest two grands enjoyed a weekend away to Universal. They sent me pictures. They are 16 and 14 now. Where does the ti...
