Good morning blogging friends. I hope that your Monday has started off good for you. My Monday sure did. When your best friend since 4th grade shows up to your job with a pumpkin doughnut and pumpkin spice coffee...OH YEAH...it's gonna be a great day!
So, as most of you know I enjoy cooking and baking and especially trying new recipes. I wanted to share some past recipes with you that many of my blogging friends may remember. Matter of fact, I couldn't believe how long ago it had been when I posted some of these recipes. I want you to pick one that catches your eye enough that you may want to make it yourself. They are each numbered so let me know which one strikes your fancy. There is also a link attached that will carry you to that blog post with recipe.

I have been wanting to do a "giveaway" for some time and of course it seems that life just gets busy. So, all of your names will be entered into a drawing simply for picking a number of which dish STRIKES YOUR FANCY!
You have until Sunday at noon. What is the prize? Well, now that it why it's called a SURPRISE....If I tell you then you won't be Surprised! LOL!
I hope that you all have a wonderful week. Remember to be thankful for sweet friends that God has placed in your life. Some are for a season and some are for a lifetime.
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you...Philippians 1:3
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pick a number? Any number? Gosh...ok...here goes #3, the soup! Although I love grits, I am allergic to shrimp, sad face. I am forever thankful for you!!!! You brighten my day. smiles
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet dear Linda. I am thankful for you as well. Girl....cleaning out the frig has some perks! LOL!
Delete#6 for me!! Shrimp and grits = YUMMY! Looking at all that great food made me hungry, I'm now going to the kitchen to find something to eat! :)
ReplyDeleteI must say Miss Mary that that shrimp and grits recipe is the best one I have ever used! We love it and it's about time to do another batch!
Delete#10- Oreos and peanut butter together? Genius! Everything looks delicious but since I am on a diet that one definitely stood out :)
ReplyDeleteGirl, everything looks good when you are cutting back or just merely hungry! LOL! Glad you stopped by to visit.
DeleteI gained 10 pounds, drooling over the pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt's easy for me to pick just one (hahahahah).
My pick is...... #10
Is my sweet tooth showing?
LOL! I need to make another batch of those! So easy to make and oh so good!
DeleteThe foods shots made me salivate!
ReplyDeleteI pick #6 because I love seafood and have never tried shrimps and grits.
Margie, it's the best shrimp and grits recipe I've ever had. Try it girl!
DeleteOh my Cindy, they ALL look so good! The potatoes in #2 look so good, and so does the shrimp and grits #6. But The soup looks good, and so does the stuffed chicken! I guess I'm more into the real "food" than the desserts, but the carrot cake cookies sure sound awfully good. Decisions, decisions. I can only pick one? #6 The Shrimp and Grits. My son loves that dish, and I'd like to learn how to make it and surprise him!! You are so sweet. Love you and have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThat dish is must try Pam. It's so good and hearty.
Deletenumber 1 carrot cake cookies with cream cheese icing , any thing with cream cheese icing is so good.
ReplyDeleteI love cream cheese icing too! Put it on the end of my finger and I am happy. LOL!
DeleteMy pick is number one but it was difficult to pick just one favorite. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway. (shirparks@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteGlad you stopped by and yes, so difficult to pick just one. Especially when I am hungry!
DeleteOh gosh. Cindy, I want to make all of them! I want to make #6, but I’m going to choose #1. However, I could make the shrimp and grits and have the carrot cake cookies for dessert!!
ReplyDeleteYou sure can make both Kitty and if you do, enjoy!
DeleteOh my...only one???? I could just dig into all of them (other than the eggplant and the poppers...I don't do jalapeno!) I also don't know what hassleback potatoes are...gotta check that out. But if I just have to choose 1 it would be....
ReplyDelete#1 Carrot Cake Cookies
My son loves Carrot Cake and Sunday is his birthday. Think I'll surprise him with those cookies. And ANYBODY who shares ANYTHING Pumpkin Spice, is my friend for life!!! Thanks for all these lucious recipes!!!!
Cheri, those cookies were very good but I loved how they turned out so pretty when I made them. I gave some as gifts and dang If I didn't look like a professional baker with my pretty boxed gifts! LOL!
DeleteThe "clean out the frig pot of soup" would be my favorite. We call it "must-go soup" at our house because everything in the refrigerator must go! Mashed potatoes make an amazing thickener for a soup. So much fun to make, and the different flavors all mesh to make such a wonderful combination. :) Thank you for entering me in your giveaway! I can't wait to hear what it is! LOL! God bless you, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteI love it when I have enough leftovers to make a pot of soup. I love soup all year round no matter the temps. Just made a pot of sausage and potato soup over the weekend. Was so good.
DeleteI'd love to try numbers 1 and 7. Thank you for sharing so many delicious recipes, and for sharing a giveaway. 😊 Enjoy your day! (And your dunkin. Lol 😋)
ReplyDeleteLove,
Ashley
Girl, I sure did enjoy that pumpkin spiced donut and drink! Made my day too that my friend would take time out of her busy life to bring it to me at work! Yes, those are all tried and true recipes. YUM! Wish I had one of those carrot cookies now! LOL!
DeleteOh my goodness, I can only choose one?! Well, J and I are heading out Thursday for a leaf-peeping drive. I’m taking a picnic lunch so I’ll be making those brownies for our dessert. (Number 8). Wishing you a blessed week, dear Cindy!
ReplyDeleteLeaf peeping drive sounds wonderful! Wish I could tag along. Yes girl, make those brownies! So good.
DeleteI'll go with #3 because, of course, it is VERY PRACTICAL, getting the most for our grocery dollar by tossing the contents of the refrigerator into a soup. I do that myself from time to time.
ReplyDeleteBut let me add, all of your recipes look wonderful!!
I like the sign on your desk, "Choose Joy". I need to do that, make a conscious decision, when the stuff of life tries to steal my joy.
That little sign stays on my desk. YEP, Satan trying his best to steal our joy and some days when I get out the bed in the morning I have to purposely and out loud say, "I choose Joy". Nothing like a "throw it together leftovers from the frig. soup".
DeleteThey all look delicious but #1 is calling my name and striking my fancy!! I hope you're having a great week. What a sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteThose dang carrot cookies with that icing surely will strike your fancy and your waistline! LOL!
DeleteThey all look yummy and I would love any one of them. I love carrot cake so those cookies sound delish I am going to make those. Have a wonderful day today. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI like a good carrot cake too Kris. Matter of fact, I might need to make one of those! LOL!
DeleteHello Sweet Lady,
ReplyDeleteWell you have presented us with some mighty fine choices. I am sort of in a sweet mood this afternoon so I am going to have go number 1 !! Gosh those look so good.
Happy new week!
xoxox
Jemma
They were delicious Jemma. I need to make another batch.
DeleteCindy, what a hard choice, they all look delicious. Since I have to choose, I go with 7...shrimp and grits. How wonderful for a long time friend to surprise you with a pumpkin donut and pumpkin spice coffee. Now that is a special friend. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful surprise Pam. Shrimp and Grits is so good. This is a great recipe.
DeleteWith our weather turning chilly my mind turns to soup so my choice would have to be #3. Actually I make soup all summer too. I find it's a great way to eat my veggies!
ReplyDeleteThanks for such an interesting post!!
I enjoy soup all year long GM.
Delete#10 and I may be the only one here telling the truth. 😁 Course, they all look pretty yummy to me.
ReplyDeleteThose little things are so good Vee.
DeleteI
ReplyDeleteGood choice.
DeleteHi Cindy! Oh what fun!!!!! Well all those recipes look and sounds delish, so there isn't a bad one in the bunch - well not the jalapeno poppers cuz that'd be way too spicy for us two wimps, haha. But I pick #1 because, well carrot cake is a FAV and how can cream cheese frosting ever be a bad thing????????????????????? And in a cookie form? Sign me up, ma'am!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun exciting post.
PS - I can understand why your best friend has been your bff all these years. That was a VERY sweet and thoughtful random act of kindness! Bless her! Bless you, too.
Prayers and hugs from The Nest at Finch Rest. ♥
Everything sounds good to me when I am hungry too! LOL! Yes, we've been friends for a long time now. Married a few months apart, had our babies close together. Well, she wouldn't go round three with me when I had my last child. LOL! She settled for two. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteAll these good recipes and a surprise too? Wow! How nice! I would love to make some little pies with some of my sugar free pudding. I'll have to think about that! Enjoy your day and this fabulous weather! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great rest of the week and weekend. Headed out to hunt with my man.
DeleteOh, there's 3-4 that I want to try but #2 especially. And, those mini pies, yummy. Hope you are enjoying your fall.
